Shoot how much you looking to pull in from betting on this game.

Im basking in it. I am the Jack Nicholson GIF. The disrespect is gonna be on every screen at OBD. If run defense is truly a "mindset" as Daquan Jones has said, then displacement (which was lower than i expected in the Denver game) will be minimal and we have a good shot at stopping Henry. That and Josh had his most efficient season since 2020 (maybe better even) after the narrative all season was how we couldnt make up for the loss of Diggs and Gabe. Yeah sign me up for all the negative national media coverage. Lol that means KC are the russian gangsters?

hard time is interesting. we average 2.75 points per drive (this also doesnt count the INT at the goaline that otherwise would be 7 points if not for it bouncing off Coleman). 2.75 points per drive would still be 4th in the league (though lower than our 2.92 average). Maybe thats considered "tough" but i think Miami's ball control is what made that seem tougher than it was.

I think DL and Milano. 42 total snaps mean a total of 168 DL snaps. Sum of all DL players here is 158. So 10 plays of dime with odd mirror and another 8 plays with milano off the field. The 1 play taron was off seems to have gone to ingram.

"then we shall fight in the shade. Hey-ey-ey-ey"

I'm hoping Cam gets some run in a dime package with odd mirror cause we have a big lead and they have to be drop back passers (take a DL off in this scenario cause youre gonna rush 3 with a LB spy). But then again i was hoping for an Ankou call up and hes off the PS again so what do i konw. I do agree with your line of thought that we wont be relying on these back 7 players as much in this game as we did last time.

17 players had double digit sacks. What do you want out of a first round selection? There’s just not that many double digit sack guys that you can say 8 is pedestrian or that there are double digit sack guys clearly available at the end of the first round. The intuitive next question is who would you have taken? That’s why comparison to other players drafted at a similar spot matters.
-
dude essentially thinks that you shouldnt draft DEs in the first round with this logic. I (and many others) have a different approach to team development.
-
How many players do you think had double digit sacks? You seem to think thats the only way to justify a first round pick. Essentially you dont think 1st rounders should be spent on DEs then. Answer only 17 double digit sack guys this year.

so i think they will run man primarily in obvious passing situations to force lamar to play quicker. i think his "when blitzed" stats aint great (jackson krueger might have had it in his preview). the tell for this will be personnel i suspect. when hill goes in for Henry plan to play man. ravens WRs besides flowers are not great M2M separators (though Agholor is a bit of a vertical threat). If anything i worry about TEs (likely, andrews) and RB Hill getting open on safeties and LBs more than i worry about their WR in man coverage.
-
Last game they were running odd mirror for the rush and then an cover 2 man behind it. Pretty awesome scheme for obvious passing downs because the weakness of 2 man is noone accounts for the QB. with 3 guys selling out to get the QB off his spot you get better pressure than cage rushing with 4. its called odd mirror. they ran it this year against KC as well (among other games). They ran it last game as well. If we can get Henry slowed down and they need to pass (hill being on the field would be the tell to they are gonna pass) this is the rush i expect to see. I do recall that but him being on the field but injured doesnt scare me enough to not plan man coverage. if he was fully healthy i would have second thoughts.
-
Certainly he was affected by the injury and the rematch between him and humphrey could be a bit better this go around.
-
I was thinking this too. Especially if they were really desperate to get another roster spot for some reason, it would be an interesting strategy to put shakir back there in the playoffs but not in the regular season cause you dont want him taking that abuse all year.
-
Also call SF LAR and PHI turnarounds is funny especially since SF and LAR are on this list as making the SB previously. Clearly they just had a down year and met his "top 15" (lol) criteria. That really means TB and Cinci. Silly logic.
-
Cause he can throw as well as run. Hamler can't spin it like lamar can.
-
Yeah I saw that post already. You said there were teams consistently doing better than us. Or are you saying that consistently other teams can go from picking in the top 15 (lol top 10 or top 5 would make this compelling rather than clearly good teams that had a down year and missed playoffs, SF, PHI, LAR being "bad" teams is laughable) to making the Super Bowl. Cause yeah welcome to the parity of the NFL. I still contend you’re mostly showing me info on when teams played the chiefs. If we were in the NFC we would have been to the SB. That’s the problem most peeps have with your analysis.

Any Ray Davis injury (concussion) updates?
YattaOkasan replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thought you needed to be limited on wed to have a shot but maybe am misremembering. I sorta don’t think Davis plays regrettably. Here’s to hoping we only miss him a little as we have slightly less efficient 4 minute drill with cook/johnson. -
Lol define consistently. Cause only the chiefs have consistently made it further. Otherwise it’s pretty sporadic. Ravens (1 we didn’t get to play them) Bengals (2, once we didn’t get to play them). These teams have also missed the playoffs recently. We have run against the juggernaut of the AFC 3/4 losses so saying that other teams have gone further just means they played the chiefs later. We should def hold McD responsible for playing the chiefs so early the past 4 years. Sheesh

I can think of nothing to make them want it more than just getting neg'ed on all week by the media. we saw how it affected the offense at the start of the year. I think you wield that criticism ahead of this game to get the DL drinking blood and pissing vinegar. Indy gave Buff a good game in 2020-2021 season (the first year). When we talk about why we love Josh that game is a great example. It gets lost in the memory but it was 3 TDs no TOs with constant pressure and only 50 yards of rushing besides his legs. Defense gave up 27 1st downs!!! Rough game for the team and Josh had to do extraordinary things to pull a W from the jaws of defeat

It was a few years ago when he first joined, but i think the mental part of it explains the end of the season. I think we circled the DET game on our calendar after clinching the division, and the other games we didnt have the right mindset (maybe NYJ cause that was playoff dress rehearsal). Was very encouraged with how they came out against Denver. That mindset alone will not be enough to beat BAL but I dont think we can win with out it (first NE game we didnt have the mindset imo but still won). Watered down yet over powered for the 1 seed at the same time.

Brandon Jones? -
Obviously the topic of our defense and their rushing attack is the primary question. In the Broncos game it felt like they were playing with more urgency to stop the run than recently. That brought me back to a Daquan Jones quote that "Stopping the run is all mental." With that perspective, I am super excited that there is a lot of doubt being thrown onto Buffalo being able to stop the run and being home underdogs. I think the developing narrative about this game maybe a decisive edge to win the critical battle of the trenches.

that 1/5 stat is misleading though (you didnt mention but heard stephen A say it). discount the kneel downs makes it 1/4. then add in context of holding on the third down that got missed. That would likely be a TD. Hollins catch would likely be a TD if not for silly taunting, but then we didnt score when backed up to the 18. so its bit more like 3/5 (not counting 2 point conversion). Considering how good broncos are in the RZ I can live with it but it does need to be different. 11 personnel with extra OL and ricard means no Henry? that line feels off. PFR says their WR only played 119 snaps (total 74 snaps). That means minimal 11 personnel (max would be 40 out of 74 snaps assuming no WR on the other snaps). I think this scout needs new eyes. Seems like they played 21, 22, or 12 personnel a ton.

Baldy's Breakdowns from the Wildcard win
YattaOkasan replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Was CBS. found it on facebook and not youtube. weird https://www.facebook.com/BillsCBS/videos/the-bills-offensive-tackles-sat-down-to-talk-this-season-josh-allens-gift-and-gi/585005564135533/ Caught my eye cause there was not interviewer. They just chatted. The walter payton MoY part was pretty cool framing too. -
I def think they are great, but high variance. Got off my original topic which was complaints about recognition being given to each team (the low end of the variance confusing me why they got so much more recognition). I expect both teams to play how they did last week which was at a very high level. I am expecting a very exciting game thats super physical
