Draft Prospect Interviews with Bills - Post 'em here
LEBills replied to Yantha's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bergeron in a trade down into the second and Tank Dell in round three would be an excellent beginning of the draft -
KC also swapped their first rounder for the Raven second rounder and Orlando Brown which by the value chart was worth about a second round pick. They paid Joe Thuney $80 million over 5 years at LG and just paid Juwan Taylor $80 million over four years. And they hit on their Center pick at #63 as well as their RG pick in round 6 or who knows what they would do there in the future. Andy Reid has always invested in the OLine going back to his Eagles days. We need playmakers but getting 4 out of 5 of our starting lineman to be high performing players helps the offense too.

It’s the only RT we have on the roster so it makes sense that he is giving him a vote of confidence. But I think the Bernard pick last year shows they are ok letting a 3rd round pick be a backup. Hopefully that means they bring in someone good to let Brown compete with and either win it or sit on the bench. I think they will draft an OT early this year because we don’t have a ton of money to spend on a FA tackle to give that competition but that is maybe the optimist in me

I like Campbell and he did do very well at the Combine but I think he is a little overvalued on this board. I think a good comparison is Leo Chenal - another big 10 LB who blew up the combine - who the Chiefs took in the third round. Campbell is better because he does better in coverage than Chenal did but I think round 3 is about right for him. It’s a very weak class so maybe he gets pushed to round 2. Round 1 should be out of the question imo

I’m not sure about the first pick, but via FA or by round 2 we really need to draft a tackle. We only have Dawkins and Brown on the roster right now (I don’t count Doyle coming off injury or practice squad guys as real depth). Darnell Wright, Matt Bergeron, Blake Freeland, Wanya Morris all would be worth Rd 2 capital tho some will be gone before then

Im not sure anyone will ever be Kelce. But he definitely plays like Zach Ertz and wears the same number. If the injury to his back is not serious long term then he would be worth our first pick depending on how the rest of the board fell

1.2 is perfect. Basically no investment. When he started for a team with any semblance of talent with the 18-19 Panthers he was 6-7 as a starter. That’s normally all you can ask for out of a backup QB

Always like McKenzie the guy. Did well in Dabolls offense as a gadget guy but couldn’t successfully expand his role as a returner or slot receiver. Thankful for what he did provide but it was time for a change.

As long as it is dirt cheap I like it

The “post-June” designation applies to cutting a player so you can spread the dead cap hit over two seasons for cap purposes. If you want to resign Poyer and want the cap flexibility this year you would just write the contract that way.

Nice video as usual by Cover 1. McGovern had some nice reps against some very good DTs in that video

Goodbye Tremaine, you were good just not great Poles is obv a Bills fan trying to take Bates last year and getting Tremaine this year. Hope they keeping adding OL for Fields beyond Nate Davis
-
Plays all three interior lineman positions. It’s a good start.

I’d be pretty surprised if David Edwards from the Rams is not a Bill with his familiarity with Kromer. Nate Davis is another player who may be had for less due to injuries but has been improving when he has played. Kromer and Davis’ ex OL Coach (Keith Carter) both have that McVay background. Another guy Sportrac is projecting at 10 mil a year but I would be surprised if he got that much is Evan Brown of the Lions who held down the Center position in 2021, and the RG position in 2022 (both times due to injuries to the starter). He did well in the gap scheme Detroit runs which Kromer does well with. Also was ranked top 10 in pass blacking by PFF last year. Good year to sign a FA guard and draft interior OL.

If we need to replace Poyer, I think Nick Scott of the Rams and Juan Thornhill of the Chiefs would be good, lower cost veterans.

Bills reportedly interested in Jamaal Williams
LEBills replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just draft a young cheap running back later in the draft in a stacked class please. Williams is not that good, Dan Campbell just committed a lot of plays to him last year, especially around the goal line.
