  1. Shady is the best player with the smallest dead cap hit. I wouldn't trade him because it would be yet another self inflicted hole in our roster.
  2. You mean to imply that Josh McCown isn't the future?
  3. He's in my top 10. I like Josh Jones better though. Jones is right in the mix for top 5 for me as well. Evans is right around 8 or 10 for me.
  4. Peppers is the 5th S on my board. Behind Adams, Hooker, Baker, and Obi-Wan. I'd consider him at 44, but I doubt he's even the highest S on my board at that time, let alone the highest player on my board.
  5. Now that it's censored I keep thinking it's b*tch. At least it's more grammatically correct that way...
  6. 10) Reuben Foster, LB, Alabama 44) Zay Jones, WR, ECU 75) Josh Jones, S, NC State 156) Connor McDermott, OT, UCLA 171) Marquez White, CB, FSU 195) Zane Gonzalez, K, Arizona State
  7. He's playing QB for UCLA this year
  8. He's my late round QB prospect this year! Big fan of CJ and think his game would transition pretty well.
  9. That was honestly my biggest hesitation! I really wanted to put Zane Gonzalez or CJ Beathard there instead just because of his name.
  10. I think Ross is more of a WR with track speed as opposed to Graham/Goodwin who's a track guy with okayish hands.
  11. Tears of joy from this morning's attempt: 16: R1P16 LB HAASON REDDICK TEMPLE 44: R2P12 S BUDDA BAKER WASHINGTON 47: R2P15 OT CAM ROBINSON ALABAMA 75: R3P11 WR CHRIS GODWIN PENN STATE 99: R3P35 CB RASUL DOUGLAS WEST VIRGINIA 156: R5P12 WR RYAN SWITZER NORTH CAROLINA 171: R5P27 CB MARQUEZ WHITE FLORIDA STATE 195: R6P11 LB JALEN REEVES-MAYBIN TENNESSEE
  12. Did he match up with Douglas much in that breakout game?
  13. That's fair enough. I very much like the idea of Foster, but I would definitely be just as happy with Reddick and an extra pick or 2 from a trade back.
  14. We should probably take him at 10. What if he turns out to be good?
  15. Wouldn't that make him (Dalton) less reliant on his pass catchers? I'm just saying there's a stark difference in Tyrod's stats when Sammy is playing compared to when he isn't, just like Dalton's stats dropped this year without Sanu, Jones, and Green for a bit.
  16. Agree to disagree on that point. There are usually 8 or so elite level talents in any given draft class, and then it falls off a bit. If a couple teams reach on QB or ignore prospects due to position one may still be available at 10.
  17. Makes you wonder if having Sammy for 8 more games would have helped our passing game, huh?
  18. Was the question specifically about the draft? Sorry I can't listen to it at work. Maybe he couldn't answer because they are defaulting to McDermott's evaluation on current players and their fit for his scheme and to Whaley's (and the scouts) evaluation of prospects?
  19. And yet Carroll is on record stating Russ Wilson was 100% Schneider's pick.
  20. That's not what he said. He said Reggie would start out playing MLB (and move to SAM if he can't succeed at MLB).
  21. If I spend more on a prius than you do on a maserati it doesn't mean my car is better.
  22. I think they had better pass catchers last year than us, but yeah. SB win was 7 years ago, Tyrod wasn't even in the league then (and we all know he's been in the league forever now and has already hit his ceiling). Since then they've averaged somewhere between 9-7 and 8-8 (actually 8.67-7.33).
  23. I don't disagree with that. I'm just saying the team wouldn't be the same with Brees and his contract on board
  24. That's great, in theory. Could the Bills afford Brees with the way the roster is currently constructed? EDIT: Also, look at how the rosters are built in general. 2016 NO Pass Catchers: Cooks, Thomas, Snead, Fleener 2016 BUF Pass Catchers: Woods, Clay, Goodwin, Watkins 2016 NO RBs: Ingram, Hightower, Kuhn 2016 BUF RBs: Shady, Gillislee, JWill
  25. and the end result is both teams win 7 games?
