  1. And then they determined that they were better off giving up the 65th pick and $16M of cap space for TT instead of 0 draft picks and $10M for 2 years of McCarron when given the choice. The offer you are referencing was made by the 1-31 FO. What actually happened was decisions by the new FO.
  2. Trades couldn't become official until the 14th at 4PM. Also, I thought you said the Browns valued McCarron more than TT. So why would TT stop them from signing Free Agent McCarron?
  3. Vikings, Broncos, Cardinals, Browns, Bills, and Jets for starters, more for depth. The league year opened on March 14th at 4:00 PM EST.
  4. I haven't called anyone a failure. My expectation, however, based on his NFL play is that he'll be a bottom third starter at least a tier below Dalton.
  5. The plays were what stood out to him. It's not like there's some crazy abundance of film to choose from, the guy's thrown less than 200 passes.
  6. I think we got some good ones. Even Cam Phillips in UDFA has a shot at making it through camp, potentially on PS.
  7. The class currently looks that bad
  8. It's one guy's film breakdown, and it's valid. Just because something has a negative slant doesn't make it trolling. Making up bogus statistics instead of using actual data, refusing to back up a point with valid data or even a reasonable premise, those are trolling. This thread, aside from snarky use of quotes in the title, is not trolling.
  9. Do we really need to pretend he's going to be great? I'm on record, I believe Josh Allen will start this year and early (and it will be good for him).
  10. Well, he saved us from using a 2019 2nd rounder anyway. Man, I thought you were over it. He's on another team
  11. Is he absolutely positive that the dog didn't read his opinions, determine they were crap, and tweet about how bad they were?
  12. I looked at the 2015 numbers real quick. I also assumed McCarron started the week 13 game, just for easier math. 2015 Andy Dalton: 12 Games, 66.1% Completions, 8.38 YPA, 266 YPG, 6.56% TD%, 1.57% INT% 2015 AJ McCarron: 5 Games, 63.5% Completions, 6.69 YPA, 209 YPG, 4.49% TD%, 1.92% INT% Hoping for even Dalton-like production out of McCarron is still a stretch, imo.
  13. Being honest, yes Rosen would have eased tensions because he was touted as the most ready to play day 1 and the furthest along as a pocket passer. Throughout the process Allen was touted as a project with the biggest boom or bust potential. That's not a bad thing depending on the rest of your QB room. Our QB room, as a whole, has thrown 226 NFL passes for 9 TDs and 9 INTs in 6 combined starts plus some mop up duty.
  14. Right, which is why I specifically said previously that we have the least proven, most inexperienced QB room in the league. That doesn't necessarily mean worst, as they have something to prove still, but I think it's what's giving fans that uneasy feeling.
  15. And what was his average in the games in which he started? Such a high value that once he became a free agent they traded the first pick in the 3rd round to take on Tyrod at $16M instead of signing McCarron for $10M.
  16. Quite frankly, we have no idea if it's the worst. We do know that it is the least proven and most inexperienced QB room in the league though.
  17. You don't think that the size of your hand has an impact on your ability to grip and hold a standard sized ball? Have you taken a physics class?
  18. Also, Wonderlic: Wentz: 40 Allen: 37 Newton: 21
  19. Many also knocking Beane for wanting a QB with big hands
  20. Again, if you want a comparable athlete based on measurables there is no clearer choice than Carson Wentz. They tested nearly identically in every way at the combine. Height, Weight, Arm Length, Hand Size, 40 time, broad jump, 3 cone, and wonderlic.
  21. Just my opinion, and nothing against her, but I've liked each release she's had less than the one before. At this point I think I'm over the shtick.
  22. I gave you this in another thread earlier today Suddenly, you don't exist...
  23. Daniel Jeremiah had Allen as the 14th best overall player in the draft. link Mike Mayock had Allen as his 9th best overall player in the draft. link Matt Miller had Allen as his 7th best overall player in the draft. link And finally, the Bills FO clearly were huge on Josh Allen. They traded up to 7 and selected him. Can you find me a single person who has any history with the league that had Allen as a 3rd rounder? Let alone 5?
