  1. Our offensive personnel is bad, without question. Anderson was with the team for ~10 days and had 3 practices with the starters and he looked like it. If he came in during Spring instead of McCarron I think it would've been different, but there's no way to know for sure.
  2. Part of this shows how game-changing it can be when you hit on a draft pick or 2. In the draft where KC took Mahomes and the year prior they selected Hunt on day 2 and Hill on day 3. In the draft where we took Allen and the year prior we selected McCloud and Proehl on day 3 and Zay Jones on day 2.
  3. I wasn't saying Carr would be worse before he came back. I have a season and a half of actual games since the injury that say he isn't the same guy thus far. It really isn't remotely the same as what people said about Brees, or even Manning pre-Broncos.
  4. I said before the starter was announced that Peterman's preseason performance was nothing more than fool's gold because none of it would translate to meaningful games. You can love his preseason stats, but preseason (and practice) are situations where his skillset excels. Reads and scenarios are already set up and determined, defenses aren't planning for how to shut the QB and offense down, the pass rush is minimal and generally vanilla, and teams are not disguising their coverages. Peterman's overall body of NFL work is bad. You want to pull out a drive here or there, that's fine. He's had 82 pass attempts in meaningful football games and he's completed less than 45% of them, while also managing to complete over 12% of them to the opposing team. He has 3 TD passes for the Bills and 2 TD passes for Bills opponents. I said that I expected the Browns to have a better record than the Bills this year based on the talent on the roster. I still expect that to be true, despite their departures at WR & RB. Why, exactly, is that most likely? Derek Anderson, and my evaluation of him has absolutely nothing to do with Peterman. I have no idea why anyone believes in Peterman based on his body of work, but the fact that people do has no bearing on me personally.
  5. I'm really not sure what you're talking about. Since Carr's injury he has been visibly worse. Following Brees' injury he put up back to back 4,400 yard seasons (something Carr has never done, even pre-injury)
  6. He hasn't really been the same since his injury.
  7. I think you're downplaying his role. Because of Peterman's incompetence, along with our staff's incompetence for keeping him on the roster instead of finding a replacement, we were forced to start a QB that had been on the roster for 10 days and hadn't played meaningful football in years. That absolutely has something to do with the current state of the team.
  8. It'd be easier to address those positions if there was an open roster spot!
  9. No, it isn't the player that bothers me. It's the staff, and their incompetence, that still has him on the roster. It's an indicator of continued failure and a lack of ability to evaluate the most important position in football. It would be a problem of my own making if I had control of the roster, but alas, I do not.
  10. I'm at 20-25% on Beane and 65% on McD.
  11. I saw him on Shark Tank the other day. He's been working on a proprietary material that makes wet mats less slippery. Really groundbreaking stuff!
  12. Is Xavier Su'a-Filo worse than our current guards? Give me him and a 4th for KB and one of our 5th's.
  13. At the moment you have 2 choices (and they are admittedly sad) QB A: 20/31 (64.5%) for 175 yards (5.65 YPA), 0 TDs, 3 INTs, 1 Lost Fumble, 2 Sacks for 7 yards, 39.8 Passer Rating, 1.00 ANY/A QB B: 11/30 (36.7%) for 85 yards (2.83 YPA), 1 TD, 4 INTs, 3 Sacks for 12 yards, 16.7 Passer Rating, -2.64 ANY/A All the while, we're waiting for QB C to return from injury QB C : 75/139 (54.0%) for 832 yards (5.99 YPA), 2 TDs, 5 INTs, 21 Sacks for 167 yards, 35 Runs for 155 yards, 3 TDs, 1 Lost Fumble, 61.8 Passer Rating, 3.00 ANY/A
  14. I will let it go as soon as the Bills let him go, and not a moment sooner.
  15. I can understand you forgetting his playoff appearance. It was something most fans should have blocked out for their own sanity.
  16. 92 more yards on 45 additional carries is better?
  17. The Browns did give up the 1st pick in the 3rd round to pay him his contract amount as well.
  18. I feel this way every year about their board. There's always to many conflicts with my own evaluations to use them.
  19. if we did the Culley shuffle it'd also remove the thing keeping Matthews from trying out for us. win/win?
  20. I'd take him as QB coach and move Culley back to WR coach.
  21. That's literally what I did. The 2nd rounder we used in the trade cost us Sammy. The trade to 7 cost us pick 12 (which cost us pick 21, Pick 158, and Cordy Glenn), pick 53, and pick 56 (which cost us pick 195 and Sammy, but got us 1 year of EJ Gaines).
  22. I'm not minimizing anything. It just tends to help if you are accurate with statements.
