  1. Kan Jam tournament where every team is composed of a randomly selected fan and a Bills player.
  2. Newman to Jimmy G: "Nice game, pretty boy!"
  3. Would have, not would of Would have, not would of Would have, not would of "Would of" is nonsense. I will die on this hill.
  4. That card uses excellent grammar. I went to USC, I love Barkley, I love your photo, you will start typing "have," and everything will be great!
  5. I don't recall Touchdown in Tampa, and I remember seeing Target Tampa, so certain stations and channels must have used Touchdown as well. While Target fits better with the other 3 words, Touchdown is cooler.
  6. Target Tampa for XXV, but I can't remember what they used for Atlanta for XXVIII.
  7. I think that Rex and Roman probably weren't seeing eye to eye, and Rex anticipated some real struggles against a much tougher schedule than last year. He knew that if he and Roman couldn't fix some big problems fast, then they'd both be out the door. So I wouldn't guess that Rex just threw in the towel, but he was being realistic about his chances.
  8. I know you weren't accusing me of it anyway, but I don't think Rex has a loser or quitter mentality. The conversation shows a sense of realistic expectations, and he has said on the record that he knows this is his last chance at being a head coach.
  9. Haha I am not Vic or a new hidden identity for any other posters, but your point is fair enough. At least this team provides us with enough mouths to keep the message board in business.
  10. This post describes my interpretation as well. This board is great and thorough, and you guys have already speculated on similar issues. I only shared this because of two bits of info that were new to me - 1) Rex saying Year 2 would be his last year. Perhaps he left out "probably," but he sees the writing on the wall. And with that contract and that money, he knows he can move on to anything or nothing if he wants. 2) Roman not having a future within the Bills' coaching structure.
  11. I see that as a bit of a clue, too - the twins went "all in" and got "fully pregnant" for one last hurrah. You either go out a success or don't last very long, and you know that this will be the season where it goes one way or the other. To be clear, I don't think Rex is trying to get fired. I think he made up his mind that he would leave the Bills either way, and he's doing as much as he can on his terms now. Bring in Rob, bring in Ed Reed, get the band back together and enjoy it while he can.
  12. That's what I meant with my first line about missing info - I heard this from a reliable source, but I wasn't personally there for the conversation between the two, so I don't have all of the information. The rest of the post was to illustrate how this might be plausible in this screwy organization with a weird and ill-defined power structure and hierarchy.
  13. I know - rumor posts will always be missing some information, basically by definition. So I'm sorry to have posted yet another rumor here. But it's always hard to know what's true with pro sports franchises, especially this one. Rex said that firing Roman was his call, but we hear differently from other sources. There was no ultimatum...but there definitely was an ultimatum...only there wasn't. We don't know who's hiring whom and who's firing whom. We don't know when or even if Rex and Roman fell off the same page. I'm just starting to think that Rex already had an exit plan in mind after that first season. This season would affect whether and when that plan would need to be put into action. We're off to a bad start, so maybe the first button actually got pushed.
  14. I realize that this is my first post ever, so it will be taken with an extra large grain of salt, and I completely understand that. And I can't reveal my source, but this comes from someone with knowledge of the conversation - During this most recent off-season, Lynn had been interviewing with other teams, looking to move up the offensive coaching ladder. Rex was aware of these interviews, and he called him in for a chat. He basically said, "Look, I'm not going to stop you from interviewing with other teams. But trust me, you want to stay here. This will be my last year, and the Pegulas love you. You're going to be the next Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills." That wouldn't have made much sense at the time, but after the start to this season, and after Roman getting fired, it's starting to look a lot more likely. So why would Rex assume or even know this would be his last year? Did the Pegulas really give him that ultimatum that we heard about? Did Rex never plan to finish out his 5-year contract in the first place? Maybe Rex will be fired during or after this season, maybe not. Maybe we'll get another big name coach to replace him, maybe not. But if Anthony Lynn is named the next Head Coach, whether it's interim or long-term, we'll know that Rex was ready for all of this months ago.
