I like the Kiko comparison, which actually sells me on him even more in the first. Even though I agree we need an immediate starter and agree Lee is still raw technically, especially wrapping up, keeping his feet under him and head up when tackling, his recognition and anticipation skills are certainly developing as well, but his long term potential for me makes him worth it at 19 with Jack and Smith off the board for me. I think he could use another year in school myself. When Shazier put on the weight and still blazed I was 100% on board, the opposite of Maybin which put me further in the other direction with "Mayhem" when he added weight and slowed down (sorry good folks of the OBX...). I dont think Lee will be studly out of the gate myself, but once he gets going and catches up with regards to the learning curve, I think he'll be a Shazier (lower ceiling) like player. My biggest concern with his is that I don't see him being able to add much good playing weight and keep his athleticism, which is concerning. Not sure why, but I think Thomas Davis a lot when I watch Lee. I watched cut ups of the Penn St. (14'), and Minnesota (15') games with my buddy yesterday, and he left Mich St. (15') for my perusal. I was genuinely impressed and would agree with you sentiment 100% on Perry from what I saw. I love the idea of him in the 2nd if he's there, if he impresses at the Senior Bowl and combine he could push the end of the 1st round potentially. He would be a great pick for us in the 2nd, if he's there. Brown is one of the more intriguing guys for me, he could get it and be a asset for this defense, but I think he like Mario is better off else where, and Philly makes a lot of sense to me, maaaaybe get a 4th back... Agreed that Rex's MLB is over his head at the current time, and I didnt see much progression during the season to make me think it will work out, but who knows?

Im in on Jack or Smith in the 1st and would be shocked and happier than a pig in $h!t if either ends up in Buffalo, im surprised you dont like Lee there (at 19)? I think they clearly need an ILB who can handle the scheme and its complexities (cerebral type), and there are those guys in the draft, but none are as athletic as Kuechly or Wills and IMO not worth taking in the 1st round unless that is the missing piece for a defense, which I dont believe the Bills are near that point yet. I think Lee is similar to Jack and Smith in terms of what he brings to the table, athleticism, speed, and most importantly the ability to cover, which I think this unit needs worse than anything else. A 3 down LB (ILB/OLB, anything) who can cover should be priority #1 IMO. Lee is a little shorter and lighter than Jack and Smith, but has a similar skill set. The way teams are spreading defenses out and passing more I think this has to be the priority for this team, a do it all LB. I dont think Lee is as good as Jack or Smith, and not as good as Shazier (all 3 of whom I believe are/were top 10 worthy draft picks, even Shazier I had a top 10 grade on), but I do think he's a 1st round worthy player, especially in today's NFL, I dont see much later in the draft with the potential. IMO free agency or later in the draft is a better place to address ILB, as FA for coverage backers is limited at best and the draft after these 3 is a crap shoot. Personally I dont think he's a luxury, but I understand why others would. I cant comment much on Perry other than my buddy who is a huge Buckeyes fan and avid draftnik, swears he's going to be a 10+ year pro, but I havent started looking at him yet myself. Between you and him, ill have to take a good look at Perry sooner rather than later. As for Brown, with Schwartz going to Philly, I would not be surprised to see Brown moved there to be honest, Ryans is 31 and a 4.5 million dollar cap hit with 1 year left on his deal, and they are going back to the 43 defense, it looks like they need at worst a SAM for that scheme with their personnel, potentially a MIKE of the future as well. I dont see Brown fitting this defense unless he picks it up quickly this off-season, or they believe he can. I believe he's miscast completely in this system, but would continue to excel in Schwarz's.

Interesting take on Woods being a utility WR... I think he's a solid #2 or Z receiver, more of a possession receiver at this point, but can handle many different responsibilities throughout the core, it would be interesting to see what he could do as a Y. His blocking and quickness are suited best there IMO, he certainly needs to work on his YAC, but I think he's under rated in general as people are putting too much into 2015 production without looking into relevant factors. IMO Woods is a quality Z. You dont think Watkins is an X receiver? I do think Woods next contract will be an issue, it'll be interesting to see how the Bills value him. As for replacing him, thats going to be tough, this draft is nothing like that last two when it comes to WR talent, Treadwell is likely gone by 19 and do you take a WR in the 1st if your Buffalo? Coleman is likely faster than Woods, but not the blocker or route runner Woods is. Thomas isnt fast in general, or as quick in his breaks, but has the size and leaping ability Woods lacks, Doctson is similar to Thomas, after that IMO there isnt really anyone who is or has that much potential to be a better overall player than Woods, and even the guys I mentioned have as many if not more warts than Woods does. Buffalo has cap issue's, so FA is not much of a factor in a significant upgrade. I would agree that the Bills are several receivers away from pushing Woods off this team.

Kruger was severely overpaid by the Browns, but he's been a good player, for the right (much cheaper) contract I think he'd be a good addition. If not, meh... move on...

The guy is one year from a 65 catch, 699 yard, 5 TD season, with EJ air mailing balls over his head for the first quarter of the season (29 targets 11 catches), including two TD's if my memory serves me, where he was wide open in the end zone. He was the 2nd 1/2 of a historically young record setting duo in 2014. He was open often in 2014 and not thrown too, its on the tape. He plays through 2015 with a groin injury, which limits his movement skills and if you have had one you understand, and yet his production is parallel to his 2014 production despite missing 2 games with set injury, the offense throwing the ball over 100 fewer times than they did in 2014, he has 23 fewer targets in 2015, and they are a run first team now and he had to learn a new offense. The guy plays and particularly blocks like his hair is on fire, which is perfect for the current offense, runs very good routes, consistently makes first downs (58% of his receptions), does not take plays off, and is still developing having finished his 3rd season. He's not a burner, he's not 6'4" (a lot of good that did James Hardy, just saying), he's not a #1 WR, but he is a very good overall player and complement to Watkins, and he is certainly not part of the problem, this team has much bigger needs than replacing Woods at this point.

Not good in coverage, nor is he very fluid with CoD skills, but I do think he'll be there in the 2nd round, more likely in the 3rd. I'd rather have him in the 3rd than Ragland in the 1st. Elite instincts and feel for the game, but I do not see him being a 3 down player. Jaylon Smith (if he's gone, Darron Lee possibly) in the 1st and Scooby in the 3rd or better yet the 4th would be a win for Buffalo IMO.

A workout warrior who is terrible at football sounds like a fair assessment to me! As a LSU fan who rarely misses watching a game, this was also true for Bark in college where his athleticism allowed him to beat mostly inferior opponents, not being a actual football player.

IMO its the spread concept utilized in college that currently rules the NFL offensively, its gotta be close to 70% or more of the offensive formations I have seen in the playoffs were run out of spread formations, with QB's in the shotgun. Its been quickly progressing this way league wide over the last 5-10 years. Brady, Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Palmer, and top level QB's are running primarily spread passing attacks, that spread the defense out and let the QB pick the match up they like best. This has clearly been helped along by the rule changes. College "Spread Read/Option" and "Air Raid" style offenses wont work individually at the NFL level the QB's take to much of a beating or the defense has the athletes to stop it, but conceptually pieces of them have been and are being used today in the NFL. The Patriots* are masters offensively of using college style spread concepts and letting Brady pick defenses apart with his quick decision making and receivers route running ability (ie Edelman/Amendola/Welker via the Air Raid). They and most everyone in the NFL infuses these "college" based concepts with more traditional NFL pro style concepts. Pure or true college offenses individually are not the future of the league, but they are certainly a part of the history, especially a big part of the recent history and current NFL.

Couldnt agree more about Nkemdiche and Ragland, I would also add Ragland is not good in coverage and comparing him to Mosley is laughable, they both went to Alabama and that is where the comparisons stop. JMO, the more I watch Ragland the more overrated he becomes in my eyes when looking at his stock right now, not as athletic as I hear and read, and his change of direction skills are not impressive, he's more Donta Hightower than C.J. Mosley as lazy Bama comps go. A good player but IMO in todays NFL downhill thumpers are 2nd round picks at best.

Yeah, like a fish out of water, his skill set is in the box, between the hashes. He can handle the drop zone, but needs athletes around him to handle the perimeter and chasing duties. I also did not see him doing much with alignments and handling the changes defensively himself.

I am even more convinced after last night he can't man up, as he did not and they put Foster in man coverage the majority of the game from what I saw, while Ragland dropped into zone and/or spied Watson while also bllitzing. In that system, Mosley would cover, seems they dont trust Ragland to do that, and I dont know how you take someone in the 1st who cant cover in today's NFL. I could see Ragland falling in the draft like Landon Collins did last year due to pass defense issues, then Buffalo making a move up in the 2nd round and grabbing him after adding a more athletic upside guy in the 1st would make sense to me. Smith or Jack IMO are 1st rounders for Buffalo if they are there and Ragland is a 2nd round value, although I highly doubt hes there at pick 49 in the 2nd round. JMO: Jaylon Smith if he's there in the 1st (possible with the injury), then move up for Ragland in the 2nd if he falls, and the LB core would look very solid moving forward.

Do you think he can cover NFL TE's/RB's in man coverage? Ill be very interested to see how well he does tonight when Clemson spreads them out and he (if he does) mans up on some of the more athletic guys Clemson has.

Its amazing Simms and Carey and Co. dont know the rules, Simms was spewing some crap about the tackle box, Carey was spewing crap about not being a defenseless receiver and the whole time myself and one other person im watching the game with go what does that have to do with spearing or leading with the crown or your helmet? Its a team (not player) option for the 5th year, which I would believe should be more than 10.6 Million (2016 option #, rounded) for 2017. Spotrac can not give an exact salary # for EJ in 2017 because the option is based on current QB contracts at the time the option is optioned, as it is an average of the 3rd - 25th highest contracts at the QB position at the time. Hughes off the right and Miller off the left, similar to Ware/Miller in Denver or Hali/Houston in KC, seems to work for them Ragland is limited athletically and in coverage from what I have seen, personally I would pass on him in the first, I like the idea of getting Tyler Matakevich in the 3rd more. I dont think Ragland is nearly the all around player C.J. Mosley was, and IMO more of a 2nd round guy, the Bills need more of a Derron Lee/Myles Jack/Jaylon Smith 3 down type in the 1st round (medical evaluations pending). Evan Mathis who was widely regarded as the best LG in the NFL in 2014 got 3.25 million on the open market in 2015 coming off an All-Pro Season at the age of 33. Great point on him getting less than he thought, #LostCash. Cog is 33,coming off a Pro-Bowl caliber year and is not an All-Pro, how anyone could think he's getting 8 million a year is beyond me, the market for a guard at his age is not even 1/2 that. 4 million IMO is even high... 3 years 10 million with 4 guaranteed would be a win for Cog, anything more is a Levitre-Like deal for someone else and the Bills should let him walk, #BuyersRemorse.

Ive just started and so far he reminds me of Chris Borland, not impressive athletically but ,intelligent, technically sound and instinctive, a heart and soul/max effort guy IMO for sure. IMO Chris Borland is what his transition upside could be. As for PB, I think he's a pure 43 guy, but maybe the curve is steep with him in a 34, especially with his age and starting from scratch in a completely new defense as the point man. He certainly looked like a different guy this year and lost for sure.
