I believe that will be the situation with Cog's; last year Todd Herremans and Evan Mathis both age comps got 1 yr/3.25/3.5 deals, I dont see Cog's breaking the bank elsewhere or leaving, he's in a favorable place for him. Both fill the #1 need right now IMO. I am 100% on board with Smith or Jack with the 1st pick, I dont think Smith will be there but Jack's injury might drop him into our range, both are the exact 3 down LB's the Bills need. LB is the #1 priority for me regarding the Bills right now.

Taylor's contract with the 3rd year being voidable showed he and his agent understand what opportunity he was being and the long term implications. So far for him so good, he's betting on himself and has one more season after this to prove himself, then he gets paid. The terms of the contract IMO show all sides have a clear understanding of the stakes involved, I dont see hard feelings being developed, this was his opportunity to start, these were the terms, he understands, and like Flacco, his payday will come. He knew the deal going into this. Many things could happen, but regardless Buffalo controls his rights for the next 2 years (current contract + Franchise Tag) if they want to regardless and has an owner that will pay up when it is called for (Dareus the $100 Million Nose Guard ). One thing is for sure: If Tyrod's bet pays off, after 2016 he's going to be a wealthy starter in 2017 and he knows it.

I was not a big fan of the comments McCoy made in regard to Chip when he was traded and thought they were off base, but made in the heat of the moment, he's a Eastern PA guy and was living the dream and that was ripped away from him and he found out 2nd hand. Who wouldnt be upset? This interview I thought was pure McCoy and I agree with him; It is what it is, no love lost. He's emotional, and moving on, but has not forgotten what happened. Could McCoy have handled it a little better, sure. The trade was not handled well or professionally by Kelly and the Eagles in how it was leaked, and Kelly knows that, Im sure he would do it differently if given a chance, and called McCoy immediately. As a Buffalo Bill, McCoy has been great on the field and a team guy all the way, on and off the field. I agree the Bills are lucky to have him and he has quickly become a personal favorite of mine. As far as Herm goes, sounds like he didn't add any context to the interview or take the time to listen to what was actually being said. Certainly comes across ignorant of this in his rant. McCoy's comments had nothing to do with the Bills team nor was he being selfish, or being unprofessional. Herm was frustrated about the lack of professionalism in general around the league and went off inappropriately using McCoy's interview as part of the tipping point in his rant.

He talked about focusing on developing EJ, which should have been the focus in the first place, clearly a topic of discussion but clearly not how the interview was run in of itself. The narrative regarding Whaley wanting EJ to be the QB at all costs is a false premise, and completely unsubstantiated. Thank you, I appreciate that. I would tend to agree he and Conklin are over rated at this point, and find it hard to believe many have them as top 10-20 type prospects, or even LT prospects. I have not watched a lot of him, but I think your assessment is spot on from what I have seen over the last two years. I have the Minnesota game on my list to watch and will move it up now. Interesting, I had Mewhort as an 3rd round guy and have Decker as a 2nd currently, good stuff .

Everything I have read on him points that way, nice to hear the same coming from a direct contact. It would help his cause for me, and history says maybe Whaley too. I agree about Conklin, and conversely Spriggs coming from the spread and not having the strength of Decker or Conklin will hurt him a little, but the NFL loves athleticism... What are your objective thoughts on Decker as a prospect?

From what I have seen of them I would agree, but would add that Spriggs IMO has the higher ceiling as he is more athletic (swing T, with LT potential) and has better lateral movement skills, but lacks physicality and strength right now, I dont see him fitting into power schemes early in his career, but pulling and zone blocking IMO he is the best of the 3. Day 1 starter? In the right scheme... Reminds me of Lane Johnson, but I'll buy developmental. Conklin has the power and reminds me a little of Bulaga, but his balance and lateral skills are not LT material and need to be addressed, but he IMO is by far the strongest and most powerful of the 3. I think he's a day 1 starter at RT as he is. Decker IMO is a mixture of Spriggs and Conklin, more athletic than Conklin, but not as much as Spriggs, more powerful than Spriggs, but not as much as Conklin. He plays high, despite being capable of bending in pass pro, I could see him being a day 1 guy. IMO none of them are 1st round worthy RT's.

I agree on resigning Glenn and Incognito. A RT in the first would be a waste IMO, hopefully Myles Jack or Jaylon Smith would be available at LB when we pick, much better value and both would greatly enhance the defense and team as a whole, 3 down playmaking linebackers who can do it all. Then look at a Decker, Spriggs or Conklin in the 2nd round as a RT.

I posted this on another site last year; when Aaron Williams played with Duke Williams last year, Duke was effective on the field. It was clear as a sunny day on the 22 when watching Duke look at Aaron, Aaron tell him what to do and who to cover. Aaron Williams is not a stud athletic safety, he is however a good communicator and leader in the secondary, who IMO is clearly missed in the secondary in that regard, who is athletic enough to play effectively and produce physically. He is a team guy who understands his and others responsibilities.

This is what I found really disturbing last night, no seam passes, next to nothing in the middle of the field and this is not the first game that I have seen it. His pre-snap recognition also seems to be lacking IMO, lacking as in not improving at this time.

Well said boys... Also happens to be 100% correct. The call on Ryan was complete BS and the officials trying to over compensate for their own mistake. Darby clearly stopped playing on the whistle, he may have even broken up the pass (maybe...), but Amendola wasnt going to score, that was some the biggest BS Mike Tirico has ever spewed out of his pie hole.

I agree Butler is a very good CB, but the safety help he had allowed him to cheat on the short to intermediate passing game. This is part of the respect I have for Belichick, he took deep ball Sammy out of the game with man coverage by Butler and Safety help literally over the top very often on passing plays. It allows Butler to play with confidence knowing that he doesnt have to worry about getting beat deep. I have not seen the 22, but the broadcast showed this scenario playing out often, I cant recall seeing a defense shade the single high safety almost directly over a WR like that, leaving the other 2/3 of the deep field exposed. Ever... Knee jerk reaction in comparing Revis and Butler is that Revis played with less Safety help in last weeks game than Butler did last night. Make no mistake about it, IMO Butler is up and coming, probably arrived, but to say he did it alone would just be ignorant. The McCoy drop, then subsequent missed FG, followed by the prevent defense in which they blew the coverage (Mario not taking the back, or Graham not getting over to the backside fast enough then missing the tackle) changed the momentum of the game IMO. That a huge 7 point swing against buffalo. Instead of going into the half up 10-3, they are down 10-3. That last minute of the first half was game changing, and that sequence of events IMO was where the game was really lost, Buffalo failed to capitalize. No seam routes or anything into the middle of the field and no backside bootlegs or bootlegs in general was mystifying to me as the play calling went, I thought the game plan in regards to the passing game was extremely vanilla, and I am starting to wonder if TT has what it takes.

That play with Bradham was the first thing I thought of when the Ref's did not throw the flag, this time Gruden says its a good no call, but it's text book pass interference. 1st and Goal Buffalo was the right call in that situation, no doubt.

Even on the broadcast it was clear the Patriots had a safety over the top of Watkins on almost every passing play. There were times when the single high safety was single high on Sammy only and the other 2/3 of the field had no safety help at all. Malcom Butler was doing a very good job on Sammy, but the safety literally over the top a lot of the time helps.

I find it mind blowing that people still use numbers/stats as definitive proof of a players ability when that player is not in control of all the variables that go into playing the game of football. Its delusional to post crap like this without adding context. (Marshawn Lynch had 42 yards last week (?), 43 after contact, clearly he is not good ) Folks if you do not understand the game of football and post/spew crap like this because stats helped you win $50 on Fan Duel in week 16 of the 2014 NFL season, then you are clueless about the actual game itself that is played on the field not your computer where numbers/stats win championships, but reflect little truth about the actual game played on the field. There were several examples on the tape last week of Revis Island falling into the Watkins Triangle and clearly getting Lost. That is a fact, his numbers/stats do not reflect that but it did indeed happen. Comparing OBJ and Sammy based on stats only demonstrates ignorance of the game and lacks context all together.

Same route he ran for the winner last year vs. Minnesota only he smoked a legend this time and somehow improved upon the running of the route itself, that right there is flat out sick. Speaking of sick, the triple in-out-in move on the opening post route was insane in itself as well.

The crowd was nuts the entire game, reminded me of the LSU/BAMA game this past Saturday, where the home crowd had a clear affect as it did last night in NYC. Tyrod maintained his composure and never panicked, called a TO when he needed to and kept on keeping on. Tyrod was not perfect, but this was a signature win IMO for the team as well as Tyrod all things considered including; the weather and it being the 7th start of his career.
