  1. I'd be happy if we saved money and focused on the draft. I think we've done enough in free agency and iId prefer to build the o-line through the draft. just a more efficient way of building than overpaying for a FA o-lineman.
  2. Agreed. I think EJ was never given a fair chance and it's unfair to judge him this early in his career. He needs a whole season to prove himself and learn from his mistakes.
  3. I'd much rather have Cassel than McCown if I had to pick between the 2.
  4. Not sure what's so difficult to understand. How have we gained any ground with the Patriots? Answer me this? Just because we got some free agents and key players? Don't care who we signed. How has the Mario Williams signing helped us gain ground against the Patriots? It hasn't. The Patriots have been top dog in he division since 2001, no matter what any other team's done. Until one of these teams get a legitimate QB under center, the Patriots will continue to own this division. How are we CLOSING the gap when we haven't even set foot on the field? All these signings are great but mean nothing until we prove it on the field. Patriots don't value star power like we do because they believe in a system that hasn't failed them for the last 14 years. The rest of the AFC east has to TRY and catch up with the Patriots by signing free agents and HOPE that will do the trick. Mario Williams was a great signing, and helped our team immensely, but finishing dead last in the division 2 out of the 3 years he's been here isn't CLOSING the gap. If the Patriots lose 4 out of 6 divisional games this year, I'll say that the rest of the division is gaining ground. Until then, it's just ridiculous to say that when the season hasn't even started. Actually they MISSED the playoffs that year, but the fact that they went 11-5 without Brady is mindblowing.
  5. where did i say he wasn't talented? Don't put words in my mouth if you can't make a good point. The guy hasn't played football in over 2 years and has a troubled past. This is just the worst idea ever. End of discussion I hear Titus Young is super fast and is also available. Let's go out and get him.
  6. A guy who's started 4 games in the last 2 years? Worst idea ever.
  7. Not saying he won't be. He hasn't signed a contract yet which makes him a free agent. Meaning he's not a Dolphin yet.
  8. He doesn't play in the AFC East as of yet. He's still a free agent.
  9. As Kirby Jackson would say: "We signed Jerome Felton? We're closin the gap!"
  10. If we sign him for a 1 year contract to improve our kick return game, and help in our read option package, then why not.
  11. Could care less about that Rex/Pegula photo. All I see is McCoy lookin good in a Bills jersey.
  12. This must be you every offseason: "Is Belichick crazy for trading a 2nd rounder to a divisional opponent for this guy named Wes Welker? We've closed the gap." "Patriots are letting Wes Welker go? Who are they gonna throw to? We've closed the gap." "Patriots are going to trade Logan Mankins to the Bucs in the middle of the season?? They're throwing in the towel. We've closed the gap." "Patriots are trading Richard Seymour to the Raiders?? They've gone mad. We've closed the gap." "Why are the Patriots letting Deion Branch walk? He was Tom Brady's favorite target!!! We've closed the gap." "Bills signed Mario Williams to harrass Brady. We've closed the gap." "How can the Patriots let Vinatieri walk after all the Super Bowls they've won for them!!! We've closed the gap."
  13. On paper the Bills are ALWAYS closing the gap. We get players. They lose players. Patriots always ends up on top. The Patriots don't need to improve and keep up with the AFC East. They're the top dogs. Did you see my list of players the Patriots have lost over the last decade? We get players like Sam Adams, Takeo Spikes, Lawyer Milloy, Terrell Owens, Mario Williams, Larry Centers, and they lose players like Wes Welker, Ty Law, Richard Seymour, Randy Moss, Adalius Thomas, Lawyer Milloy and they STILL finish on top. I don't care who we draft or who we sign. Until the AFC East shows that they can keep up with the Patriots and knock them off, these signings mean NOTHING. AFC East is always signing big time players. Patriots ALWAYS LOSE big name players, yet they always rise to the top. This is all Brady and Belichick. As long as they're here, they'll continue to own the AFC East. We are DEFINITELY improving as a team. I'm not saying we're not and I love the aggressiveness in the offseason so far. But to say we're "closing the gap" is being ridiculous. Just because we're getting better doesn't mean the Patriots are getting worse. They know how to win games, something the rest of the division doesn't know how to do. They lose players and always find other players to step in and fill the void.
  14. Suh isn't a Dolphin (yet at least). It was a verbal agreement but no contract was ever signed. Suh's still a free agent as of now.
  15. I don't care where Mario went to. In what way has Mario signing with us closed the gap against the Patriots? They're always 1st in the divison and we're always 7-9, 8-8, 9-7 and finish 3rd or 4th. That's your definition of closing the gap? If that's your definition of closing the gap. Then yes. We've close the gap. The division has closed the gap after signing these great FA players even though the Patriots still manage to finish 1st in the division every year. Mario Williams, Bart Scott, Mike Wallace, Braylon Edwards, Percy Harvin, Santonio Holmes, Eric Decker, all paid dividends and closed the gap.
  16. Sure the Patriots lost Vereen, Wilfork, Browner and Revis. They've also lost Randy Moss, Rodney Harrison, Lawyer Milloy, Richard Seymour, Aqib Talib, Corey Dillon, Kevin Faulk, Wes Welker, Adam Vinatieri, Matt Light, Teddy Bruschi, Ty Law, Adalius Thomas, Mike Vrabel, Ty Warren, Logan Mankins, Dan Koppen, Gerrard Warren, Roosevelt Colvin, Asante Samuel, Randall Gay, Junior Seau, Eugene Wilson, Damien Woody, Willie McGinnest, Ted Washington, Aaron Hernandez, Danny Woodhead, and I can go onnn...and onnnnnn...and onnnnn...and onnnnnnnnnnnnn. and onnnnnnnnnnnn. Guess who always ends up on top after losing all these players?
  17. No the point is a mile over your head. I don't care what free agents teams signs. Free agents don't always improve teams. What is so difficult to understand? Mario Williams was supposed to be the BIG FA signing that was supposed to "close the gap" against the Pats. How'd that work out? Sure our defense is feared, but what team has come out on top in the division since he's been here? Raiders and the Redskins are NOTORIOUS for signing big name players in free agency. Have they improved? Yes we've closed the gap ON PAPER. That means NOTHING to me and that isn't closing the gap.
  18. Do you follow our division or are you new to this division? Darrelle Revis has been with the Jets since 2007-2012. During his tenure with the Jets, here's how the AFC East has ended up. 2001 - Patriots 1st place 2002 - Patriots 2nd place 2003 - Patriots 1st place 2004 - Patriots 1st place 2005 - Patriots 1st place 2006 - Patriots 1st place 2007 - Patriots 1st place 2008 - Patriots 2nd place (Tom Brady knocked out in week 3 with torn ACL) 2009 - Patriots 1st place 2010 - Patriots 1st place 2011 - Patriots 1st place 2012 - Patriots 1st place. 2013 - Patriots 1st place. 2014 - Patriots 1st place. Yes. I guess Darrelle Revis re-signing with the Jets really closed the gap. ONLY if Brady tears his ACL again Like I said. I don't care who anyone signs. All that matters is what happens on the field. Closing the gap. LOL
  19. Not really. Definition of closing the gap is beating the Patriots in actual games and taking the division from the Patriots. Until the other teams do so, no team has closed the gap. You can look at the rosters and drool over the players each team has but at the end of the day, all that matters is wins and losses. A couple years ago, we signed Mario Williams, the Jets still had Revis, and the Fins signed Mike Wallace in free agency. No gap was closed This is the definition of closing the gap.
