McDermott's Two Minute Defense This Year vs Past Seasons
JTown replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
What I think is the Bills offense can match almost any team in the league. Look at the scores all season long. I can very easily see a McClappy special allowing Dallas to march down the field for a winning score. I never said "beat up or dominate". I used the word ugly. ( I.e... 13 seconds = ugly, Philly game = ugly, Jets game = ugly, every overtime game in McClappys tenure= ugly, Patriots game = ugly). Let me know if you would like more examples of ugly games. IMO... the Bills should be 5-7 on the season as they were gifted a win by horrible officiating against the Giants. What two game winning streak are you referring to? You think that the Bills are going into KC and winning on the road against Mahomes and a greatly improved KC defense when they have lost to the Jets, Patriots Jags, Denver, and Jax? If so, let me get your plugs phone # cuz I need some of what you are smoking! Look. I am a Bills fanatic and I will always be. Yes I would like them to dominate and with JA17, I believe that they can. Unfortunately McClappy is navigating this titanic and he struck an iceberg during the AFCC against KC. It just hasn't sunk yet. But I do see people running for lifeboats. Go Bills! (McClappy seems like the type of Captain that will make sure that he has a seat in one of the lifeboats) -
McDermott's Two Minute Defense This Year vs Past Seasons

I think that offensively yes they will. Frankly, I think that we will play Dallas very similar to the Seattle game last night. I will not be surprised if McClappy allows Dallas to drive down the field for a game winning score. I mean really, how many times are we going to do this? McClappy is NOT going to change his defensive strategy, particularly late in the game. Our only chance of beating Dallas is that they struggle offensively due to the weather. -
McDermott's Two Minute Defense This Year vs Past Seasons

I have been saying this since the 13 second debacle. Welcome aboard. I appreciate the positive changes McClappy has made during his tenure here, but it's clear that his playing not to lose defensive strategies only result in losses. It's that simple. I personally think he unequivocally has to go sooner rather than later. I have seen very little humility from a leader who has preached "humble and hungry " for the last 7 years. Conversely, McClappy has come across as one who is never accountable. I think that he honestly thinks his defensive strategies work and continues to allow opponents to shred him in the 3rd and 4th qtrs. Yet he refuses to change or adjust. Pure arrogance and quite frankly pretty stupid IMO. I'm currently watching the Sea v Dal game and I will tell you right now that the Bills D will not be able to stop the Dallas O. It will be ugly. -
This team WILL NOT go 5-0 during the toughest stretch of their schedule. What has this team done to promote this type of optimism? Was it the win against Miami two freaking months ago? I have watched every snap and this team has consistently shown that they can play close with any team yet have lost 50% of their games (against primarily weaker teams). Why should I believe that they are going to win 💯 % against tougher opponents. Sure they can win 2 maybe 3 games but I think it's time for many here to take of the Zubas sunglasses.

Do you honestly believe that the Bills are better than the Cowboys on Defense?
-
Well said my friend. I get so frustrated with this staff that I can't put it into words. I can't imagine that the players on this team have faith in this HC. For me it goes back to the first playoff loss to KC when Diggs left the locker room to watch the KC celebration and Mc Dummy went out to console him.

Really... Josh threw the ball 51 times. 500+ yds. In a heavy cold rain. I'm sure Jalen Hurts ratings look better, in fact he only had 33 passing yds. At halftime. Josh is only responsible for offense. IMO JA17 played one of his best games yesterday. Second only to the 13 second meltdown, but same ol same ol Mc Dummy cannot manage a game or get a defensive stop in a big game. But whatever... blame Josh.

11/19/23 Week #11 GAMEDAY Bills vs Jets Pregame Thread

What does that tell you about this team? To me it screams horrible game management, coaching. The Bills should get a win at home but they are far from out of the woods. I would not be surprised if they lose this on to a superior defense. -

Me neither... for the life of me I can't believe that fans are upset with the exceptional coaching and game management we have experienced to date.. heck they have not lost by more than 6 points all year. -
Fire McDermott - 12 On the Field INEXCUSABLE
JTown replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
So who's responsible for ensuring that the proper players are out there? IMO, McClappy blew it. It didn't matter what 11 personnel were out the for the three consecutive kneel downs. He should have taken the dime package out immediately after the PI call. This is typical McClappy game mismanagement. Personally, I think he looks like a total clown 🤡 by firing Dorsey and not accepting responsibility for his own actions. Hello... he could have fired the ST coordinator and not have lost as much respect instead of the option he has chosen. Jeff Saturday has flamed him about this and I don't think he is wrong. -

You are not wrong. Personally, I have been saying this for seven years now. My last straw was the 13 second meltdown. I will be a Bills fan until my last breath but that doesn't mean that I have to support this HC. -

You nailed it. Might I add that the reason they had 12 personnel on the field was because Mc Dummy had the dime package on the field despite Denver kneeling for three consecutive downs and didn't change the personnel knowing they are going to attempt a FG. Instead he tries to change out of the dime personnel as Denver rushes to get their kicking team an the field. He's an absolute genius. I hate to disappoint all of the process believers but be prepared for 7 more weeks of the clown show. Yes Dorsey, needed to go and IMO was never a good hire for Josh. However, the real problem with this team remains in charge of the team and the defense. Pretty sad state for such a promising group of professionals. -
How many personnel are going to be on the field as the Jests attempt a winning field goal? We all know that now that Dorsey is gone all the problems are fixed. I mean Mc Dipcrap can now get back to playing "complimentary " football and the players are going "execute" efficiently and with precision now that he has rid our team of what has been plaguing them for the past season and a half. Go Bills!

All I know is that I am personally DONE with the Carolina Connection BS we have been subjected to since McDipcrap has arrived. I hope that there are no further Carolina retreads funneled into OBD. It has been painful.

I agree. It was my opinion that he lost the team after the 13 second debacle. I would have fired him immediately, I wouldn't have allowed him to travel back with the team. Now I will give McDummy credit where it is due, yes he changed the culture. He also has done a good job coaching the defense this year. Despite all the injuries and 4 turn overs tonight they took it to the end. I will be surprised if they win 2 more games this year. Championship Caliber. -

What's mind blowing to me is that it has taken so long for so many posters on this forum to realize how bad his game management has been for the last 6 + years. -
11/13/23 Week #10 MNF GAMEDAY Bills vs Broncos Pregame Thread
JTown replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I guess that you haven't heard. It's all about the process. Additionally, even if he was activated, do you trust this staff to know how to use his skill set? May I remind you of how poorly Nyheim Hines was utilized. I have all the faith in our players, however, it appears that the players have lost faith in the coaches. Can't say that I blame them. Go Bills! -
You can coach players to be prepared for the next opponent. As a coach, you can game plan your offensive and defensive strategies. As a coach you can adjust your strategies during the game. As a coach you can manage the game as it changes. As a coach you can utilize your players strengths and mask their weaknesses. As a coach you shouldn't challenge stupid plays and call stupid time outs.

McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense
JTown replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Whatever.... I'm sure you are happy with this teams performance. I'm not. I am tired of hearing " we gotta play complimentary football " or " we gotta execute " every freaking week from Mc Dummy. He has done nothing this year to try and resolve the issues that the offense has had this year. I get it. The defense is playing as well as can be expected given the amount significant injuries they have sustained. However, he is ultimately responsible for the overall preparation of this team. I may have never been in a pro level sports locker room but as a military leader with 26 years of combat *team building " experience under my belt. I think that I do know what it's like to loose a locker room. -
So what exactly was the worst part?

McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense
JTown replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know how people cannot see that he has already lost the team. IMO he lost a good majority after the 13 second game. Everything has continued to unravel since. The dejected look on Josh's face when Diggs was allegedly screaming at him has never left. I am certain Josh is more frustrated than anyone on the team. He can't just go rogue and call his own plays. I'm relatively certain that Diggs issue during OTAs was his displeasure with the way the offense was being run, but I think Josh convinced him they could make it work. Get your popcorn ready because I think Diggs will eventually speak his mind. Unfortunately, it's going to get a lot uglier. Book it. -
McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense
JTown replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think many have. Namely Josh. I am certain that Diggs is extremely unhappy and I have a hard time believing that only a few people who still have things to prove will give 100 % going forward. Why would any player risk career ending injuries for this s#!t show. I would not be surprised if they lose to Denver. If the do, and I was Pegula, I would have McClappy escorted to the door. -
I have said it a million times. McClappy lost this team in 13 seconds. The players do not believe in him. I have a feeling that Diggs beef in the off season had more to do with McClappy and staff than Josh. I wouldn't be surprised if Diggs gives up at this point. Where are the "Trust the process" faithful now? It's clear McClappy is lost, I wonder if he is still promoting the "Championship Caliber" Bs in the facility? It's a shame that he and his staff are wasting Allen's talent. I know Allen's not perfect, but I don't think that this staff has done him any favors.
