  1. Because Rob Johnson's performance vs. the Titans was so good? People forget he was embarrassingly bad that game. They started the year in tank mode, then made a trade to shore the offense and now in a must win game bench their qb based on one drive in garbage time. This coaching staff & management is a joke.....
  2. This year has been difficult because a GM & coaching staff that went out of their way to go tank mode in preseason and talk about collecting draft picks and trading the better player for draft choices. Heck they told us that in "not so many words". Then 5-2 and I was ready to buy in and then two terrible games. Yes I had some optimism after the start but now I don't have faith in the staff using the offense properly and we'll see if the defense turns it around.
  3. Find me them. A blow-out is 30+ points heading into the 4th...... Not many games like that....... Seldom is the starter out prior to that......
  4. Those were the blowout games this year. Not many and only starter who lasted the whole game is the Miami backup. No it was a good sample. Starters are pulled in the fourth when being blown out. Live to fight another day. At 5-4 they are in the hunt.
  5. Enough is enough..... To think Peterman was put in as a dress rehearsal is as stoopid as Rob Johnson playing vs. Indy in a meaningless week 17 game in 1999..... Ooops bad example. 2017 to date blowouts Week 1 Indy Week 3 Ravens Week 4 Titans Week 7 Cards Week 8 Matt Moore played the whole game but 20 points scored in 4th Week 9 Giants (even Eli was pulled) Pretty much every blowout this year starter was pulled..... Quit dreaming that Peterman is the second coming nof Tom Brady and this team is on the cusp of the Superbowl if Tyrod is pulled.....
  6. Sure and Rob Johnson is warming on the sidelines........
  7. Sarcasm....... Complaining non-stop about TT, when the D was shredded over and over and the O was not on the field. As the announcing crew was joking...... Anyone predict that Drew Brees wouldn't throw for 200 or a TD and the Saints would destroy a team by 37 points (up 44 at one point)?
  8. So two weeks ago many here were explaining what a great D Buffalo had and that there was no need for a Buffalo QB to throw for 300 yards...... One three and out and some good field position and maybe the Offense would have been inspired too...... Agreed TT was lousy, but bad field position and maybe if they convert that long pass on 3rd & 1 (drop by Thompson on a perfect pass) or 3rd and 1 stuffed near the half with the score 17-3 maybe a little more respectable. The point of the thread was the Defense was as bad as I've ever seen against the run and these were easy 8-15 yard runs one after another..... Where are those who went on and on about the Defense and the new culture. Where are you now. TT was given an offense set up to fail and more and more not using his skills. There was another post that explained just how little TT is allowed to audible..... At least with Watkins every once in a while he'd go long and Watkins got it (or Goodwin).....
  9. I thought two weeks ago this was the best D in football!!!!
  10. Held Brees under 200 yards and no td passes....... Saints scored on a 94 yard 10 rushing plays TD...... Incredible when broken down.......Rushes of 11, 10 ,9, 9, 15, 11, 11, 5, 6, 7.........
  11. Goff is actually on a pretty tight leash. Only 32 passes/game and if you watch seldom throws into coverage or timing patterns. Most are safe passes. Will see how he performs when they need to produce.
  12. A solid 121st in the NFL. BTW 6.5 is not enough either..... Sure McDermott would have tried to keep it under 3 if still here.....
  13. Sure not crucial but 14-3 at the time and still thought it was a game.......
  14. Simple questions........ What was our brilliant OC's call on the play? Did TT not hit both receivers in the hand? The 40 yard pass was crucial. In any case New Orleans manhandled the defense.
  15. Great blame him for Clay muffing a simple pass, then when he does throw long and hits the receiver on a perfect throw it is dropped...... No winning....... Watkins has regressed because Goff doesn't throw to his #1 receiver because the Rams offense doesn't want to challenge double teams or the opposing teams # 1 CB/DB...... Watkins is open and doing his job, but it seems that the Rams coaching staff is being very careful with Goff....
  16. Yes he sucked yesterday. The one play he made to Clay for 25 yards was called back. A great long pass to Thompson that was dropped (tough catch but a perfect pass). Let's look too at the play by play..... http://www.espn.com/nfl/playbyplay?gameId=400951555 Gonna blame him for the Charles Clay int too? Actually no chance and going through it as bad as he was, really no chance to succeed. A few not great passes to Benjamin and Saints just ramming it down the Bills throat.
  17. It was a pass that an NFL QB just can not miss.... He made it and does get credit. I was just stating it was a wide open receiver with no coverage and good blocking. I see you didn't answer the question. Have you watched the Rams games or just the highlight package. I've watched a fair bit and he has played very well, but not at an MVP level. I've also watched TT and he looks handcuffed.
  18. I'd take TT right now. When Sammy was healthy TT was connecting with him on much tougher passes then Goff is completing. They hit on many long bombs. The Bills offense is putrid and Goff would be worse if he was asked to guide it. TT has done a much better job avoiding the rush and actually made many more tough passes this year then Goff. Now answer me this.... Have you watched the Rams games? I have and Goff has done what was asked of him. They have two close wins (leading the majority of the game) and two close losses, where Goff did not deliver given the chances. Wow sounds much like the Bills & TT, but with way more weapons and better coaching. Watch the Rams and how fluid they are when things are clicking. Conversely a little adversity and yes they are not that good either. Rams have wins vs. Scott Tolzien, Brian Hoyer, Blake Bortles, Drew Stanton & Tom Savage already this year........ Say what you want but the Bills outside Simian have at least played vs. quality QBs......
  19. While I admitted to being petty, I still am not that impressed with Goff as I've watched him and his #'s are great, but doesn't pass the eye test imo. Until the TD to Watkins the DB was 10 yards off him, which could have been exploited a lot earlier. The reliance on Cooper Kupp over Watkins is criminal in my mind. He too makes a # of bad throws during the game & also he is not overly mobile. The TD to Woods was the right read to a receiver 10 yards open. Also the Rams D have feasted on some of the worst QB's in the league to date resulting in the Offense having many possessions. TT was lousy yesterday, but when the opposing team calls 24 consecutive running plays, it is much more then the QB.
  20. I give...... Yes I'm petty...... Yes it is uncalled for, just the nagging feeling that Goff is much like TT when ahead and playing inferior competition. I do want to see Goff and how he does vs. Minnesota this week.
  21. Goff threw for 201 yards in the 3rd quarter alone. Watching the game he was not good the first half...... I am watching his closely and he has been good, but not great. That woods TD he hit a receiver 10 yards open. The Rams are reminiscent of the Bills in blowouts in that they look unstoppable. To date they have beaten 2 1 win teams (NYG & SF), Arizona (QB injured in the game), Houston without their QB and Indy (also without their QB). Their good wins are vs. Dallas and Jax (only 122 yards passing). Yes they are a much improved team and quick strike on offense, but have also been very lucky with how the schedule has shaken out.
  22. No he was bad...... The first drive the Bills looked good and then poof...... 10 days to prepare and they had nothing. When I watch Goff though, it is not that impressive. I don't see him throwing tight spirals into tough coverage or extending plays. He's playing great under wonderful tutelage and playcalling. I have no idea what Buffalo is doing on offense.
  23. Actually Goff doesn't impress me that much. He is slow, often makes the wrong read, not overly accurate and too focused on Gurley and Kupp. He was lousy in the first half and then a great second. Also helps to have a great Defense and play from the lead. To me it looked as far as the Bills went, that the offensive line was terrible, little time to throw, no rhythm and the worst WR's in the league. BTW where was Jordan Matthews? I'm sure the experts here will tell us watching the all22 as to how bad TT was.
  24. But the franchise is worth $3 Billion vs. Buffalo's $1.6 Billion. Yes funny seeing all those empty seats, but means very little in the long run. But back to the game and Rob Woods TD's...... How can a player be so open on a play as Woods was? Please don't credit Goff as it was as simple a pass as one could make. Add to that all game Watkins had a DB 10 yards off him and finally they threw that simple TD pass to him and it makes you wonder what is going on and why not exploited more often. Watching Goff he is not that good. He is the product of an Offense that has weapons and they are exploiting them. Great formations and play calling. Heck Cooper Kupp is getting twice as many targets as Watkins and Gurley is used like McCoy as the checkdown/safety valve.
