  1. Wow 32 not 35...... You got me....... 300 is a arbitrary yardstick used by almost all outlets. Yes 300 is a simple # that the Bills OC and coaches seems anathema to achieve. Nothing would make me happier then to see opening up the offense and airing it out. And as said I don't blame TT. The coaches got rid of his best receiver and have an offense that is incapable (to date) of coming back. I like TT and thought with decent coaching an offensive game plan and playmakers (i.e. Watkins) could be a very good QB.
  2. Which was the 7-9 Bills 2016 Offense. Sure and the Bears 1985 defense and they win the Superbowl.........
  3. I started the thread and support TT. I repeat I am a fan of his and think he is a good QB, who could be great in the proper situation. I put 90% of the blame on the coaching he's received, lousy offensive schemes, bad play calling and a ridiculously conservative offense. Any close game and it is almost always being too conservative and getting in that position. The Bills have played some very good games and then it is a blowout. Tight games they seldom pull out and the fact that they are incapable of passing for 300 yards is a fact. Can someone tell me the last time they came back from 14 down? What I can't stand is it seems they set up this offense to fail and made trades to that end. And yes in the offense 213 yards passing at home is reason to throw a parade!!!!!
  4. Sure down 21-20 vs. Jax they scored on their first fourth quarter possession to win 28-21....... And a 166 yards passing at Home vs. a lousy team Then 14-13 vs. Tennessee 109 yds passing another scintillating offensive show (I do remember the great run he made) Houston was a tie game and another performance for the ages 11-21 211 yds....
  5. This isn't about Tyrod as a QB, because I want to see if he can play the position (and think he can), but the Offensive Coordinators & Management have set him up to fail with lousy play calling and below average receivers. When I say there are 10 games a season where a 300 yard game should/can win you a game, that includes losses. The Bills Defense has played very well the first three games against bad QB's (and Newton who is off and lost his most important receiver before the half against Buffalo). Watkins was a monstrous loss and I am first a fan and ask me whether I want to see a game where you have two offensive minded teams or a defensive battle I'll never take the latter. We are in year 3 of TT as the Bills starter and I have no idea who he is as a QB as the Offensive game plan and lack of passing is just so conservative. What I do know is the Bills have never had a 4th quarter comeback and probably never overcome a 2 TD deficit. Comeback are reliant on PASSING THE FOOTBALL
  6. Because this is the old refrain for TT and the Bills. Wins are all that counts (and don't forget haven't sniffed at the playoffs since 1999) and always an excuse about the offensive woes. The Bills are not Jacksonville or Cleveland and it just is amazing the inability of this team to stumble into a 300 yard passing game. This is the NFL and there are usually at least 10X's during the season you need to throw for 300 yards in order to win a game and this team has an offense that has in the last 2+ years shown they are incapable of doing that. And to those going on about going 4-6 last week (they were by the way 6-0 week one throwing 300 yards), two of those games both QB's threw for 300, Goff threw just under 300 and Hoyer was a 2 point convert from OT, Manning put up 24 points and almost all that passing in the 4th quarter and only TB lost the game decisively. There is not a team in the league worried that Buffalo can come back against them or beat them by passing and that bothers me.
  7. Again the point about 300 is that it is a benchmark that EVERY COMPETENT QB IN THE NFL can throw for....... The Bills are the only team in the NFL that avoids it like the plague. I am a terrible fan to say I am more entertained by a 28-24 game (W) with 300 yards passing then a 13-10 win with 180....... Every year there are going to be 10+ games where you will need the offense and passing attack to win and the Bills refused to address it (actually made it worse). I think TT is handcuffed in this offense and they got rid of their best receiver for the heck of it...... Here is the 2016 300 Yard passers.... http://www.footballdb.com/stats/300-yard-passing.html?yr=2016 Happened 111 Times...... Once by Buffalo......
  8. He doesn't have weapons in needs or OC to date to know one way or another...... I was really excited to see a healthy Watkins and offensive game plan and what it could produce. The coaching/management however thought otherwise and has pissed me to no end.
  9. Again the issue is not TT, it is the decision that the team made to get worse in the short term and hope to hit on draft picks. In particular they took away TT's best receiver from a team that is woeful when it comes to throwing the ball that I blame solely on the OC and game planning. I want to see TT succeed and want to see the offense be successful. The fact that the team and fans seem so excited about 220 yards passing depresses me. I want to see 300 yards, which TT has NEVER DONE IN REGULATION....... I know everyone is excited about the D, but let's see how they perform this weekend and conversely how the Offense reacts. BTW Atlanta does not have a great defense.
  10. DO YOU NOT GET IT????? Every QB I cited can throw for 300 yards anytime and they do. I also think TT is capable of it, but he's never don it in REGULATION. Sorry that I would like to see a 300 yard passing game, but this management of the OC's have him handcuffed (this year and prior). Wow btw he's 26th in passing yards, with 2 games at home and all three in ideal conditions...... Really amazed anyone would question Wilson, Big Ben, Eli, Luck & Ryan....... Throw in Brady and complain about his offensive #'s and that they mean nothing. When the Bills needed 10 points from the offense vs. Carolina, they put up 3.........
  11. Did you see the Dallas game? Plenty of factors involved. How about I point out that Brees has a superbowl ring, Ryan lost in OT, Luck has made the playoffs consistently and among active QB's Eli, Big Ben, Rogers, Wilson, Flacco & some middling player named Tom Brady have all won...... I guess their ability to throw for 300 yards got in the way of SB victories......
  12. Go back to the 70's then? Yes we all get excited when the D plays well. When the opposing D shuts down the Bills, not so much fun..... Best game I ever saw was SF vs. Buffalo https://www.espn.com/classic/s/moment010913-no-punt-game.html Maybe these are yours...... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/270428-worst-game-ever-buffalo-vs-cleveland-review
  13. Since that hasn't happened in 3 years I don't know...... But I will tell you I watch the NFL to be entertained and that is almost always when then offense is moving the ball... Anyone remember the K-gun? Fun football then.
  14. Because it's fun?????? I'd much rather see a team entertain me and go 7-9, vs. bore the snot out of me and go 9-7....... Again I've defended TT and blamed his results on the OC. The fact they couldn't figure how to make him and Watkins a top offensive duo pissed me to no end. And now he has less weapons. The coaching staff & front office are to blame. Was away and didn't post this earlier.
  15. And yes I like him and this is not about TT. It is an offense mired in thinking that is 15 years + old. When Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson & Jeff Hostetler are brought up it validates my m point.
  16. Again he played well. That is not the point. He holds on to the ball and doesn't make mistakes. But yes you need to be capable of 300 yards passing games to be successful in the long run. Name me a team in the last 15 years who was successful with a pop-gun pass attack. The point is I think TT is capable of it, but they traded away his best weapon and this yes was a typical Bills win where they are never down more then 1 score. Yep the D really exposed Trevor Symien....... And how often have we seen that in the last 5 years? And before someone mentions the Miami OT loss (took OT to get 300)......... Only 300 yards game as a Bill..... 35 games and one over 300.....
  17. This is all we see however out of Buffalo and the offense and results in seasons in and around .500. Until you have the ability to put up 300 yards passing we get the same excitement that 200 was thrown for. Sorry that I'd really like to see more.
  18. And ready for a ticker tape parade for the Offense? Please can we see a 300 yard passing game and a win, which every NFL team but the Bills seem capable of?
  19. The thread was tongue in cheek and commenting how fickle things can be and change so quickly. I was being sarcastic calling Watkins soft. Frankly Watkins is still not getting nearly enough targets in any case and Goff looks better, but still holes in his game. Actually I feel bad for Tyrod as the coaching staff has set him up to fail imo (and Bills fans getting to watch boring football).
  20. So SF who held Newton to less passing yards then Buff did and Seattle on the road to also under 200 yards passing now has a lousy defense once the LA Rams shred them. Watkins who had 7 targets in two weeks, caught 6 of 7 yesterday, but again is soft as he is in concussion protocol. His fans claimed that Goff still trying to get comfortable with him, like TT with Matthews..... Conversely Philly seems not to miss Matthews at all either. Again it is obvious watching the Rams, that Goff looks just okay, but when you have an offensive scheme, movement and interesting packages, everyone looks better and played are open. And as Bills fan the idea of a 300 yard passing game is just a dream. Will see what happens Sunday, and who knows come Monday the Bills maybe the surprise of the NFL season (or allow 40 points). Yes only 2 games + 1, but anyone who says Watkins isn't a top receiver Talent and only salivates about draft picks just is not watching the game.
  21. 10 pages on McDermott's excessive clapping (and it is really stupid the amount he does) and a great article on the issue everyone has with TT that is an epidemic in the NFL and one response? Anyone else read it and have some comments/insight?
  22. Pretty much sums up the Bills Offense the last 17 years...... https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2017/9/19/16332762/watchability-fun-football-boring-quality-of-play
  23. Almost forgot this classic thread....... Really amazed people fell for that soundbite/headline.......
  24. Top 10 in rushing. Unfortunately no passing game or interest in passing .
