  1. And not sure as to the answers, however these are straightforward questions that are never asked or answered. The difference in Buffalo is there is stud WR who is not targeted, the eye test tells you they can't play hurry up or two-minute offense and 300 yards is never ever contemplated up/down or in a tie game.
  2. Is TT teachable? Why couldn't you run a hurry up or two minute offense? Did TT audible? Why was Watkins not targeted like a #1? Can TT read defenses? Were all plays called from the sidelines? When were plays changed Why was Watkins 90 % of the time lined up on the sideline and seldom the slot? Was it your plan to rank 28-30th in passing 2 straight years? Is there a game plan to throw for 300 yards in any playbook? We know there is one to throw for 120 & lose?
  3. Good, I don't like Coughlin........ Really does anyone want a 71 year old coach?????? Game passed him by..... Last 3 season 7-9, 7-9 & 6-10..... A career .531 coach (yes I get it 2 SB's). Giants this year without him 11-5 and a sub-par year from Eli.....
  4. That is what I'm just not sure about and harp on. I think the offensive schemes (passing) were plain lousy and TT had no chance to succeed. The use of Watkins when healthy was atrocious. Watch OBJ on Sunday and the multiple sets, formations and where he lines up. Eli has had a bad year. but the Giants will do what's necessary to target him and get him involved.
  5. Brock is a disaster playing for a team in a disastrous division who put won 9 games. I've explained Dak and his ability to at least hit 200 yards and be ahead most of the game. Alex Smith and KC again do other things well however their fans too lament their passing game and that often is cited as their achilles heel. Forget the Defense for a minute, though I'll point out since some go on and on, that 6 playoff teams allowed more yards then Buffalo this year (Bills were 18th, others 22nd or worse). As for points allowed the Bills were actually 16th (middle of the pack). Is there not a single person here who doesn't think a better coached passing game would have been the difference in the Bills making the playoffs?
  6. Exactly the point. Everyone watching could see the Passing offense had no imagination and was so simplistic that defending it was simple, TT threw some nice long balls to Watkins and was elusive, which created opportinuites too, but way too often no one was open because it was so simple to defend. Geez everyone saw that and it wasn't addressed in 2 years. The KC game last year may have been the most frustrating, where Watkins shredded the D the first half and was targeted once the second half and not a single adjustment.
  7. A better coached passing game opens up the running game. The Bills worst games were not great running performances. Most of those came in games they won. All teams trail during the year, it's how they come back (and almost always by passing the ball) that separates winners from losers. How many times did the Bills try ground and pound when down and then really be forced into passing situations.
  8. And the Bills can't and refuse to address it. Really is there anyone here actually happy with the passing game? Seriously? And I for one think TT should be resigned and is a good QB if he had plays specifically charted for Watkins and was allowed to make calls and audible at the LOS. Watching the 2 minute hurry up told me they don't practice it or give him autonomy.
  9. No I want the Bills to pass the ball..... I want creative formations, play calling, 2 minute offense, and better use of Sammy Watkins. I don't want to see 10 games where they can't throw for 200 yards and the idea of 300 yards passing is some super human feat. Happened 118X's in 2016 and once by Buffalo!!!!!
  10. 10 games under 200 yards passing is PATHETIC. Dallas had only 2 (not including the last game). They still needed to throw the ball to win games..... A better passing game also would have meant a better defense too. How many 3rd and 3-4's couldn't they convert because of that lousy passing game. Houston won a lousy division and doesn't count. Miami beat the Jets & Bills for 4 of 10 wins and still threw for more yards while having a # of lousy performances and in actuality their defense was worse then Buffalos.......
  11. But when they need points and coming from behind they can't do, because they made little effort to work on the passing game. Great front-runners...... Did they come back once in earnest? Did they overcome a 10 point deficit all season (or two). How about a properly run 2 minute offense? All this requires a passing game, multiple formations and innovative play calling.
  12. No it is not...... You can't rank 28th in passing and refuse to use your #1 weapon and think you can win. Seattle and Dallas (who've won nothing yet) have pass games that they use. They turn to the running game to slow down the game and eat clock. When the defense does fail, you have to be able to move the ball through the air and score. The Bills had 10!!!!!! games under 200 yards passing. Won't cut it.......
  13. The Bills continually rank near the bottom in passing. They point to the running game that they still think it is the 70's. For 2016 Passing accounted for 71.7% of total yardage and the Bills were 53.6%. #2 in rushing was the 13-3 Dallas Cowboys who were ahead in the majority of games and had a Rookie QB and still passing was 60.2% (next was Tennesse 61.8%). Of playoff teams, Dallas, Miami & Houston ranked in the bottom third of the league in passing yards, and I'd say they are outliers. The Bills had 10 games under 200 yards passing. Dallas 3 (includes last game with Mark Sanchez)....... Until they realize that it is 2016 and have a scheme where a 300 yard passing game is a yardstick, not a pipe dream they will not compete.
  14. No they don't..... Pretty obvious watching the Bills. Best (perfect) example was vs. KC last year...... He shredded KC the first half and ignored the second..... Countless other examples too.....
  15. Oh and he has a QB & coach who make sure he gets the ball...... This is what drives me nuts, watching plays at the LOS and knowing there is no way that Watkins is being looked at or will be thrown to on passing plays. Watch the Giants and you know Eli is looking to OBJ or checking the defense to see if he can audible to get him the ball.
  16. And who said they would have picked him (and then hit it with their next #1)? Let's start a thread....... Where would the Bills be if they Drafted Russell Wilson instead of TJ Graham in the 3rd round? So tired of people questioning the draft of a very good (and could be a superstar) player....... The issue is regardless of healthy or not they don't throw him the ball near enough times and generally have him lined up way outside....... The playcalling is ridiculous.
  17. Not fair, McCoy gets swing passes out of the backfield and almost every other pass is to the sideline or a curl.
  18. I hate people talking about drafts in hindsight. You don't need a QB but the one who falls to the third/fourth round and becomes a star should have been your pick..... The Bills should by now have drafted Brady, Wilson & Prescott with that logic...... Watkins is a victim of a lousy OC, who has/had little confidence in the passing game and still thinks it is the 1970's. 28th in passing in 2015 & 30th in 2016. A high of 18th in 2014 averaging 225/game proceeded by 28th in 2013. The team has not had a good passing since 2002 (Drew Bledsoe) and outside blips ranking 15th & 18th, almost always in the mid-20's. Used to blame itr on the weather, but it is the coaching and adherence to thinking the ground game will win for you.
  19. Again not sure if TT isn't the qb. The issue is watch the films and the play calling and he's seldom looked for and often when he is, you can tell that it was the play call. If the play call is not to Watkins or his side of the field he nor TT is to blame.
  20. And there are busts too. They gave up a lower 1 and what they thought would be a lower one in 2015 for the best out of the draft. Not having the QB or coaching staff treat him as a #1 and target him like obj and Evans is the problem.....
  21. Great post. Healthy year and targets too. Julio 495 vs 276 targets the first three years!!!!!! Throw him the damn ball.
  22. You have to give him the ability to make reads or it is a lost cause. Make mistakes and also some big plays too imo. To see a play called on the sideline that everyone watching knows is a lost cause before the snap happens way too much. Again the 300 yard debate. Have a game plan that is ready to throw for 300 (or at least 250), which for the majority of the NFL is pretty simple and happens multiple X's/season is all I ask for..... 13 Teams averaged over 250/game, Buffalo 190 and completed the least # in the league......
  23. Making reads as the play progresses is expected and is a sign of progress. I'm talking pre-snap, where I see no changing of the play at the line and again the obvious a minimum of 10 targets to Watkins a game. That's a no brainer IMO.
  24. I asked over and over has Tyrod been coached properly. I don't see him reading defenses, I don't see plays called in time, I see him ignore Sammy Watkins continually, no audibles, no hurry up offense and an unimaginative offensive coordinator. The running game is good, but passing they are given very little chance to succeed as formations are simplistic and no creativity. I see very few questions asked of the offensive coordinator as to what is called and what Their is allowed to do at the line. The first time he reads the defence at the los and makss a hot read will be the first.
  25. How about the tough questions about the coaching TT has received. It is atrocious. Watch him go to the LOS and not reading defenses or changing plays. Never seen a hot read, hurry up offense, slants and quick reads.
