  1. Again I think the Offense is much much better then it shows & the results are because of McD's style, bad hires & Daboll's inability to game call or adjust. I was especially appalled how bad they were vs. Baltimore & allowed the Baltimore defense to dictate the game (drops didn't help either).....
  2. I said the only team that did not do it in 2018 (other then the Bills) were the historically bad Arizona Cardinals (and look how quickly that has changed). That is the only team.... And yes it is more fun to watch..... BTW in 2017 that Mariota 300 yard game was a W!!!! And you are wrong about the Offense, as good offenses are almost 100% due to the QB & as long as he is at or near his prime the Offense is maintained. Of course this year we saw Big Ben injured and Pitt plummet.... So are the Bills a great shutdown defense or not?
  3. This is where you Fans don't get it...... Defenses & Offenses can change very quickly, but if you have your franchise QB, you are set on offense.... Anyone worry year to year about NO, Seattle, GB, NE, KC or LA's offenses? You know they will be good year after year & it is then a matter of how good. Conversely let's look @ 2018 defenses & where they are in 2019.... Case in points Chicago, Jacksonville, Minnesota (again yards allowed). It is hard to maintain that level and yes the Bills have been right at the top for 2 years, that doesn't mean next year they'll remain there.
  4. When we hand the ball back 2X's in the final 5 minutes to give them a chance to tie, or get the ball with 2 minutes & 3 TO's in a tight game at the end of the first half and play to run out the clock? Yep probably..... And if the Bills lose because they were conservative on Offense or were unprepared on that side of the ball (as they were vs. Balt & NE), how will you react? I know..... It is all part of the process & 2020 (or 2021 or 2022) & it will all be okay....
  5. Usually the case (8:00), which I do expect the Bills to play @ 4:00, which is perfect....
  6. Again the Bills are 25-22 under McD, not 47-0..... Being able to throw the ball for 300 yards may have changed the result in a few of those losses..... As one person pointed out is the Bills scored a TD vs. Cleveland on that last possession through the air they would have thrown for 300 yards..... But no McD wanted a 53 yard FG to tie the game.....
  7. Yep, when the Bills have gone 3 years without, it has become a joke & it is almost impossible to fathom the futility...... Are you all so thrilled with the 30th, 29th & 24th ranked offense the past 3 years?
  8. 6 of 16 is better then the Bills record. Also note a tougher Division...... Rams had an incredibly tough schedule including 2 vs. both the Seahawks & 49ers, Saints, Bears & Ravens...... Lost to common opponents Steelers, Cowboys, but beat the Browns..... So if the Bills pay for FA's with all their money, does that mean they'll stink in 2-3 years too?
  9. How every team in the NFL is capable of a 300 yard game except the Bills is what is mind boggling. Rivers has made the playoffs countless times. How about using Brady, Payton Manning, Drew Brees or Aaron Rogers instead? Oh & Cam Newton made the SB after a lousy passing year too. Do the Bills know something that the other 31 teams don't as they're the only team incapable of it & now going on 3 years!!!! So how come the Bills aren't able to? How did the Rams go from 32nd to 1st in one year???? I take it as a defender of the process jumping from 29th to 24th is spectacular? Yes I expected a huge jump this year & that Allen would be given the opportunity to excel..... Again I blame it on the coaching & play calling.
  10. How so? I think he is severely held back & badly coached. I think the offense is a lot better then it shows. The fact that every NFL team has thrown for 300 yards in each of 2017, 2018 & 2019 (except Arizona in 2018) pretty much tells you how this staff has handled the Bills offense since McD was signed.
  11. The point is there would too be a different perception of the team and it would be further ahead in my estimations. What's interesting is seeing the leaps KC, LA Rams, Baltimore & others can do with creative offensive minds. And by the way with a top three offense & being 100% sure of the QB going forward they'd be more fun to watch (except for those still mired in 60's football), attract free agents & yep national exposure too..... Oops but that's not the Buffalo way.
  12. I get a lot of flack here for 100% concentrating on the Passing game & the Bills Offense. I do it because QB is the most important position in football & the Bills drafted Allen to be their franchise QB. Now McD took over a team that was 16th in Offense (Yards Gained) & have been 29th, 30th & currently 24th under his regime. The QB they drafted as their future in terms of Passing Yards/Game (and please let's not talk about his running, which has been a surprise as no one expected it & has been great) has been 32nd & 29th in two seasons. No 300 yard games (had to mention that?) either. And again remember I am a HUGE JOSH ALLEN SUPPORTER. The defense was 14th in 2016 & 26th 207, 2nd 2018 & 3rd 2019 (Yards allowed)..... Here's the source..... https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2017/opp.htm So let's pretend the Defense was decimated (going from 16th to 29th, 30th & 24th) by McD & after a blip in 2017 the Offense was now a top 5 with their franchise QB (Allen), which is not a stretch seeing what Mahomes has done in KC, would the Bills not be way ahead (and frankly more fun to watch?)? BTW 2016 the Rams were 32nd on Offense & next year under McVay #1!!!!! So it can be done. The issue is & I keep repeating is with the way McD & Daboll handle the offense & the play calling, how is anyone confident that the Bills make that next step, and are you sure that the Bills defense will continue to be this good?
  13. So if this brain trust is so smart according to you above post, then the Bills should be drafting a QB, becasue Allen has then been a failure as he has ranked at the bottom of the league in accuracy & yards/game two years running. Of course I completely disagree & think the coaching has stunted Allen, lost the Bills games & they are way behind in seeing what they have in him.
  14. Again ignore the facts and that he is 29th in passing. If I thought Allen was terrible then I'd be talking about the need to get rid of him and get better. The fact is I think he is the future and he is stunted by the coaching staff Think it cost them 2-3 wins too. Very simple question, are you okay that we are 29th in the league in passing yards per game (32nd last year)?
  15. They don't throw a whole lot either. When will you realize that 29th in yards per game passing is terrible. . This is now 3 years running. The fact people here defend it is laughable. What if the Bills were 29th in Defense, can you imagine the uproar?
  16. And the signings were not star/impact players, but complimentary players..... That is & always is the issue.
  17. However 27th in team passing, which is the proper measure. He is too 29th in yards/gm (ahead of only Case Keenum, Jacoby Brissett & Mason Rudolph!!!!!! Yep but more passing yards then Drew Brees, for which there is a simple explanation.. He has missed 1 quarter all year. You really aren't that stupid are you? Do you really want to go there? https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2019/index.htm https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/player/_/table/passing/sort/passingYardsPerGame/dir/desc BTW Baltimore is 13-2 & Lamar truly could shut it down in many games as they were well ahead, while the Bills shut it down often of their own accord & then needed points in the fourth.
  18. Sorry meant to add passing.... 27th in passing is not good by any measure.
  19. Yep he has Miami's #.... Unfortunately the last three times coming from behind in the 4th failed (Cleveland, Baltimore & NE)..... And again I blame the coaching not Allen. I've brought up stats continually & blame the coaching as they have not allowed Allen to be unleashed & see exactly what they had. They had Peterman start last year..... Take a look at every QB drafted top 15 & almost all have been quickly given the opportunity to sink or swim. Deshawn Watson being a prime example. Lamar too is who he is because Baltimore configured an offense for him & his skill set. The offense is better but still 27th this year..... By the way 47 games into McD's tenure & not a 300 yard game...... Had to throw that in.
  20. But the Offensive rankings have been 29, 30 & 24 the past three years (Yards). In 2016 they were 16th, which tells you how far they dropped with the arrival of McD..... They have improved, however look at Arizona's improvement, SF's, Baltimore or Tennessee..... Yes I expected a much better offense & still not happy with their offense.
  21. Why do other rookie QB's drafted high & considered the "franchise/future" come out & are given every opportunity to shine. The Bills in 2018 were ready to roll with Peterman (so stupid in so many ways) & did very little on the offensive side of the ball. A huge mistake & yet another reason that the Bills are behind schedule on O.... Again outside Rosen all highly drafted QB's have had big games in their first year, while Allen has had good/very good games, but no breakout performances......
  22. And it kills me that the Bills focus almost solely on the D & Allen could be so much further ahead with help & smarter play calling.
  23. The Daniel Jones comparison is interesting because that is exactly how they should have used Allen last year, throw a lot & learn on the job with a losing team (6-10) & see what they had..... But they didn't & now it is turning him into a game manager, when he was selected 7th to be the future (not Duck Hodges). Again Sunday is an interesting case in point, wanting to prepare for the playoffs & don't risk injury, but also to let him loose. The Bills coaching staff will probably play it close to the chest & again we'll be left wondering for the playoffs.
  24. Does he and to what extent? The red zone plays versus Baltimore and New England were terrible. Add to that playing for fgs in the red zone vs. Pitt and NE.
