  1. And again I put very little blame on Allen, because I think the Coach & OC have done very little to help him & design an offense that like they say about a child "Only a mother could love"..... This is what drives me crazy here as we are all Bills fans. Be honest this offense is seldom fun to watch. They can't/won't throw for 300 yards, seldom put up points and their philosophy is make no mistakes, control field position & take time off the clock...... Really if not a Bills fan, why would you watch them? Be honest if no rooting interest, however know some history & just look at scores, how far down would the Bill be? LeBatard & the others are often talking heads. Some like Mina Kimes, Katie Nolan have specific knowledge. Most are just however sports fans & social commentators.
  2. If you don't "get" the show, fine, however if not a Bills fan & you look at the last two weeks & 17 points & 290 yards passing, you too would not think much of Allen.....
  3. Either you get the show or you don't. I love the show, especially when they have females on (Kimes, Spain, Nolan....). They too are not Bills fans (and again why should they be). Allen has thrown for less then 150 yards/gm the last two weeks and heck they don't break down film or watch a whole lot to make an educated comment. So Winston 900 yards+ the past two games or Allen 290..... I understand their pessimism (though it is wrong). BTW it is completely on the coaching & Bills philosophy, which ignores the Offense & prays that they can score 17 points & the defense allows less. They were absolutely right about Baltimore where they blitzed all game & Daboll couldn't figure out anything
  4. Interesting, but vs. Baltimore I thought on the sacks he had little to no time & holding the ball too long is often because no one is open. See below that only 1 sack did he appear to have time. Also this could be a result of bad recognition (though with Baltimore blitzing almost every down this is bad play calling by Daboll imo as they never appeared to adjust) and didn't see any backs in receiving position or short routes and easy dump offs. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/video/highlights-watch-all-six-sacks-vs-bills
  5. BTW Duke seemed plenty fast enough on his TD catch & also made a great contested catch on a 30 yard throw. Small sample size but did more on those two catches then Foster has done all season.
  6. Don't you mean Ralph Wilson? And let's not forget McD could get too excited and annoint him Peterman 2.0!!!! If they lose & again the O sputters, they need to play & be sharp. Sorry <150 yards passing the past two games is not a good sign.
  7. And again I will then point to a team that thought they had it all figured out...... The 2017 Jacksonville Jaguars. The #2 defense in the league that should have gone to the SB (if they didn't crumble in the 4th vs. NE) with a QB drafted 3rd overall...... And what has happened to them (Offense & Defense) since then? We do not have a crystal ball & as I've said over & over I HATE the Offensive philosophy & think they are a lot better then they are allowed to show (or are coached).
  8. Well you care enough to respond to many of my posts.......?
  9. And I do...... I am all about the Offense & have stated that. To see them sputter when I think they are so much better is difficult to watch. Do you watch good offenses & not wonder why the Bills can't play similarly? How can the Bills be the only team in each of 2017, 2018 &2019 that has not thrown for 300 yards does not make you wonder about the offensive philosophy of this team. To see them vs. Pitt turtle up 7-3 with 1:50 & 3 timeouts before half celebrate running out the clock as if they just scored a td & then give Pitt the ball back without even trying to get a first down, not once but twice with the game on the line, not tell you how little they try on offense?
  10. Just you guys, however every Bills fan I talk to outside of here also are not happy with the play calling & offensive game plan. But keep explaining how 17-13 is sustainable & great.
  11. Sorry I expect better. Everytime it appears the offense may turn a corner Daboll regresses and the Bills flounder. Vs. Baltimore at he Allen was under constant pressure and terrible game calling and follows it up with another 130 yard game vs Pitt. They purposely put the breaks on the offense and hard to watch despite 10 wins.
  12. Daboll, Daboll Daboll..... 4 pages & he should be front & center in this thread. He is 90% to blame for not allowing Allen to shine.
  13. That's coach speak for "Don't blame us if we suck"..... Look how quick SF has turned it around. Many examples. If they know what they have in Allen, then let him loose every once in a while. The Baltimore game was just horrendous when it came to the play calling as he was under pressure all game and seemingly no adjustments.. These <200 yard games are just way too common. Remember I think Allen is the real deal, but these games we see over & over are 100% (at least 90%) on the coaching.
  14. Bet you it's spent primarily on D & non skill positions. A #1 receiver would be awfully nice.
  15. And that is Shaw's blind spot too?..... He explains everything away & McD made the right call even if the end result failed..... However 10-4 is not bad, however as other's have noted 2020 will be a much sterner test. Give McD credit where credit is due, the team did not take games off & won the games they were supposed to (Miami, NYJx1, Wash, NYG, Denver, Cincy) & won road games vs. Tenn, Dallas & Pitt all of whom were caught at thje right time. On the Bills side of D maybe (against a bad QB). To me the Offense turtled and was afraid to impose their will. And I say they are not trying & we see it in the play calling over & over. Even the worst offenses in the NFL can throw for 300 yards is case in point. BTW the quicker we see what the Bills have in Allen the better......
  16. I do like your analysis and you do a great job. However I think McD is all about the D & has has blind spot with respect to offense as there is no reason it could not have been better this year (a perfect signing forgetting his 4 game suspension would have been Golden Tate). BTW How else do you explain the Nathan Peterman experiment, not once, but twice?????
  17. I remember all that outrage over the Rams Chiefs game last year or NO vs. SF two Sundays ago...... Sorry the best Bills game I ever saw was the No Punt game vs. SF September 13, 1992...... I really get tired of people deriding offensive explosions and high scoring games. Maybe the Cleveland 6-3 games was the best you ever saw? It was a defensive struggle also called the worst game ever...... https://bleacherreport.com/articles/270428-worst-game-ever-buffalo-vs-cleveland-review
  18. Again if this is a log-term plan, then you let Allen throw & see exactly what you have as he is the long-term future. They don't because they have no idea (imo) how to utilize him. What they did at the end of the half & both possessions after getting the lead is not because of any long-term plan, it is because they they have little need for the offensive side of the ball. Vs. Cleveland they too decided that a 53 yard fg to tie the game was their best shot too, as opposed to being better prepared & going for the TD. We've seen for 3 years little go into that side of the game. To think that vs. Pitt was different then it would be against any opponent or QB is wrong. McD's philosophy for game planning is etched in stone.
  19. Not if a Saints fan...... If only the Bills could steamroll an opponent. 230 in the first half & don't think he threw more then 3-4 after the first drive of the third. Another person deriding 300 yard games. So boring & unappealing vs. 3 yards and a cloud of dust.... ? He throws the ball, completes them & then yes important. Probably be singing a different tune if a Bills QB could throw for 300 once in a blue moon (which btw happens once every 2.7 years!!!!??)?
  20. Fine the Bills are an outlier. The fact the next closest team is some 30-34 games less........ (i.e. every team has done it in 2019 & 2018 & 2017 except Buffalo). This 100% lies at the feet of coaching and the refusal to get better offensive weapons.
  21. Here's the last 300 yd game & yes the Bills took the lead with 1:20..... BTW TT needed OT to reach 300.... Down 14 in the second & third quarters...... https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/gameId/400874489 But remember those not worried about 300 yard games seem to think the Bills are 46-0 the past three regular seasons, so no need to ever throw......?
  22. Too many here expect mediocrity. I think the offense is much better then they are being coached & should not be struggling to score 20 pts/gm.
  23. Great let's hear more about "The Process"...... I do not like the handling of the offense & there are way too many examples of them letting teams back into games or it being closer then it should. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid I can be a fan & have issues with the coaching & play calling. BTW as excited as I am that they are in the playoffs, they still have a ways to go. They've had all year to address it through trades, getting Williams in there and other options. However as per my take McD isn't going to help the O, as it is all about the Defense.
  24. You just won't stop (and many here brainwashed just as you are). 300 yards is not a terrible thing to aspire to (or really that difficult to achieve). Actually the Bills are similar to Seattle (another of my favorite teams) who while playing a much tougher schedule have won a # of games by the skin of their teeth & Carroll too at times have been way too conservative (even with Wilson at QB). Vs Carolina Sunday was a perfect example, as they did whatever they wanted to early & then went into a shell. My concern with them too is that it is not sustainable & being conservative doesn't do it in the long run. Actually pretty sad that it is only twice in 20 years..... My concern is that they have put all their eggs in one basket and frankly I have higher expectations from this offense, but have no idea as to their potential because of how they are coached & the conservative nature.
  25. Let's be honest, we are Bills' fans, they are not EXCITING...... They have a great defense, that is more bend then break vs. smothering. Their offense is like watching paint dry with their emphasis on field position & minimize mistakes. I want more then anything for them to be exciting.
