  1. Wow..... Lamar Jackson a "Big Mac"..... That's harsh......?
  2. Yes I was, but I still maintain that Allen would be farther ahead with better coaching that did not play it so close to the chest. The Bills have way too many difficult down & distance plays every game (i.e. 3rd & 6+, 2nd & 9).....
  3. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..... I think Lamar has been set up to succeed with much better offensive coaching then Allen. I also think good coaching will have him adapt and if he is a great qb he will. Lamar in Buffalo I'd expect him to be neutered (as I think Josh has been). Fits my narrative & standing by it.......??
  4. I get it the coaching staff can do no wrong. Dallas we all know is a joke & their schedule may actually have been easier then the Bills. Their defense allows chunks to every decent offense. BTW they put up plenty of yards vs. the Bills & missed fg's and shot themselves repeatedly in the foot.
  5. I take it you mean Lamar? He makes usually the right read on his designed runs. Allen I'd like to see passing 35X's a game to accelerate his progress and a conscious effort by the Offense to score points, not play field position.
  6. Everyone scores vs. Miami..... And if you use Indy as an example, Hoyer was the qb that game. Their defense is lousy.....
  7. And I said I'm more pleased the last three games in this thread buddy. Still averaging only 21 & will continue to lay that on the coaches. Take out Miami games 37 & 31 (returned on-side kick & Baltimore put up over 50) & yes still concerned about McD & Daboll trying to play for a 17-13 game this weekend.
  8. And again my narrative won't change. If Lamar played for the Bills they'd stunt his offense too.....? Lamar is more exciting because the Ravens nurture it. The Bills to me have done Allen no favours & frankly I'd think his progression as a qb would be further along with better coaching. Now of course Baltimore has played much better teams and a better record. To me the Bills have had a soft schedule & played bad defenses and this again was the time to move Allen's development forward at a quicker pace.
  9. Again the narrative promoting Lamar. If it was Allen, it would be "Allen can't read the field or find his open wide receivers as shown in the All-22"
  10. How so???? Am confused. I've supported Allen since day one. I've criticized the coaching of the offense since day one too.
  11. I know, and those here know I am not happy with the Bills offense (excluding the last three weeks), their game planning & how they have handled Allen. I wanted to see Allen throwing more & seeing whether the offense can sink or swim. Game management to me is not what you want from an offense. I want them to win games (and not play between the 20's & play a field position game). However I was looking at only what Allen was allowed to do within the context of play calls & think he is much closer to Lamar then people think (and heck as he is the Bills QB I put him ahead of Jackson). Conversely Baltimore has done everything to ensure Lamar's success & to me the Bills have not with Josh.
  12. I have Allen 5-6 last year & 9-3 this year..... Seems to be winning or 60.9%
  13. I really am an Allen fan because he is a Bill..... Forget the draft & whether the right pick, very simply he is a Bill & at the most important position (and when needed throwing the ball for 300+?). What bothers me is the narrative when comparing, which no one does to Lamar, who is the flavour of the day. Every pass is scrutinized in minutiae by fans here & the national media who did not like the Josh Allen pick. The same was done early with Lamar, but now they have gone 180 & seldom hear anything about his passing, mechanics or ability. If Lamar misses a receiver, throws a bad pass or makes a wrong read then many would be gushing over incompletions and making the right decision or throwing it to where only the receiver could get it. With Allen it is he hesitated, didn't go through his progressions, threw it too late..... I couildn't believe game 1 vs. NYJ & the pick 6 that hit Beasley pretty much between the 8 & the 0 & the # here blaming Allen (too low, a little off, too hard......). Lamar had 105 yards passing vs. SF & nothing really to WR's. Is he assessing the whole field? Of course the announcers blamed the weather (and some validity). There was not a single bad thing said about him the whole game. Rushing yards included 14 yards & a lost fumble..... Maybe should remove those from his stats. I've been Glass Half Full & think Allen has been stunted by the offense & lack of opening it up & really seeing what he can do. Here's Lamar's 2018 vs. Josh's https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/3916387/type/nfl/year/2018 https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/3918298/type/nfl/year/2018 Also see Joe Flacco's #'s before he was benched..... Not too bad & compare that to Nathan Peterman's...... https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/11252/type/nfl/year/2018 Thus as Allen is the Bills QB, I'd say that he's dealt with more adversity & go as far as to say his #'s are comparable (when you throw out NE)..... Media slowly turning but then you get still the "Don't trust Allen" & similar comments.
  14. I love the Bills but way too long a day coming from Canada, the border, a 2.5 hour drive each way, uncertain weather that at best will be cold (assuming no wind, rain or snow), 20 minute walk to the stadium (followed by 15-20 minutes to get into it), uncomfortable seats (or benches), traffic leaving if the game is down to the wire & what may or may not be a great game...... Minimum a 12 hour day. Friend called me a wuss for saying no and his football loving kids too said no...... Thank you all those who ensured a sellout and that the game is on TV......?
  15. See my post above..... It is sad how even "fans" will critique every incompletion. Every long ball is his fault. A perfect example was the NYJ int for a TD that was a perfect pass to Cole Beasley was somehow blamed on Allen.
  16. Haven't read it, but I can see it as another half glass empty, half full article..... If Lamar then everyone would be gushing over incompletions and making the right decision or throwing it to where only the receiver could get it. 105 yards passing vs. SF & nothing really to WR's. Is he assessing the whole field? Of course the announcers blamed the weather (and some validity). Rushing yards included 14 yards & a lost fumble..... Maybe should remove those from his stats. 17. https://www.footballdb.com/stats/300-yard-passing.html Earlier this year when the Bills were in the low 30's, the next nearest Team had gone 11 games between 300 yards passing. AGAIN EVERY TEAM CAPABLE OF DOING IT EXCEPT THE BILLS.... How is that possible????
  18. Again this is always the excuse, too raw, too inconsistent, not accurate....... It is revisionist history in order to validate your point. I think more accurate is McD has not been able to have any QB throw for 300 yards in his tenure & every team has done it every year since 2017. McD twice considered Peterman the best QB on the team, which to me says it all. How is every team capable of it annually except the Bills?????
  19. I liked him from the minute hurdled the Vikings player. I'd have liked to have seen the Bills accelerate the learning curve. Again how come Kyler Murray could throw for 300+ in his first game and the Bills have gone 45 games without one?
  20. No it is a result of a coaching staff not doing a great job on offense. I'd have liked to have seen Allen's progress being moved along quicker and believe what we saw the last three games were attainable much earlier with a coaching staff not hellbent on winning games 17-13.
  21. The Bills have lost games over the past 3 years, which may have ended differently if the QB threw for 300 yards..... It has already been pointed out that just by luck if the Bills did get those last 35 yards vs. Cleveland through the air then in fact they would have won & Allen threw for 300. Probably too would have beaten NE if over 300.....
  22. Again why are expectations so low here????? I'll take Brees (81-45), Brady (88-20) & Aaron Rogers (45-20) record when throwing for 300 yards...... 45 games!!!!!! Geez is that not long enough?????
  23. As I predicted & want him to be. Lamar is the flavour of the day..... Frankly I am more impressed with Allen & what he does under this offense. Can we agree on this??????
  24. I hope it is and want him to be a long-term Bill..... People love to go on and on about me using the 300 yard measure. It is pathetic that they have not managed it in 45 games (Game 15 of 2016), which is what I unapologetically will keep saying. How is it that EVERY NFL TEAM has passed for 300 yards in 2017, 2018 & 2019 except the Bills???? McD can say whatever he wants, but it comes down to him. Remember he's the one who named Peterman his starter, not once but twice?!!!!!! And I agree 100% the last three weeks have been fun & the only time this year where games were decided prior to the 4th.
  25. I've never ever questioned Allen. I question the OC & coaching that plays for 17-13 games. I've been very happy with the uptick the past three weeks, but want to see 30+ points & 300 yards as something to strive for, not the absolute ceiling.
