  1. Actually I'm giddy about the first 4 weeks. I'm very happy with McD & the coaching staff. Just saying I was so frustrated prior and wonder if it could have happened sooner. Waiting for the first person to say "THE PROCESS".....😜
  2. Explain? I have an opinion..... Yep could be right or wrong. Many here do exactly what I do, write responses that fit their narrative. I say "the Bills offense & passing near the bottom since McD took over", which is a fact. You say "McD had no weapons and was a genious with what he had and a stout defense" I say "Josh Allen could be further ahead given some weapons and a coaching philosophy to score points" You say "McD protected Allen because he wasn't ready and see what's happened in 2020" And at least I am coming around on McD, but still think way too many here drank the McD Koolaid and were happy with one of the worst offenses in the NFL for 3 STRAIGHT SEASONS.... Bring it on......
  3. Here we go again about McD is smarter then all the rest and that this was al;ways the plan and he's had it mapped out since Day 1...... I admit he is growing on me and doing some very good things, but I will not get off that regardless of two WC appearences, the team's record going into this year was 25-23 under him. I will also state that he has held Allen back and this could have been accelerated too. Look at how quick Burrows & Herbert are adapting and Josh to me was hamstrung to some extent years 1 & 2. Conversely we quickly could make a decision on Rosen & probably know where Mayfield stands and shortly too with Darnold, Murray & Jones..... Without Allen & if the Bills played Offense like they did in 2019, they are at best 2-2.
  4. Took a while, and yep turning the corner on him and like many here trying to temper my excitement. Outside Oldmanfan and a few others, I'm wondering who else misses those 17-13 games and the offense going into "Prevent Offense" after halftime? It was that Pittsburgh game and Duck Hodges that really exasperated me last year, and hope those days are behind the Bills.
  5. I liked him. He covered the Bills & they generally were at very best mediocre. He was on the right side of the Flutie/Johnson debate and he wrote about a team that generally was always in some form of disarray. He gave honest opinions & asked hard questions. I'd take him over Murf & Tasker and the other paid shills who only spout the Bills line....
  6. Again I didn't know McD from Adam, but thought the offensive teardown in 2017 was unecessary, his conservative approach to that side of the ball and then his bad decision regarding Peterman cemented my views. I think too (and seeing Herbert & Burrow as prime examples this year) that they had Allen on way too short a leash (and hamstrung with a lack of talent). I am almost ready to forgive him......😜
  7. Let's not get ahead of ourselves...... 🤣 I have just wanted to see an offense in the top 5 to get excited about. I want a QB and a team that is never out of it. Please don't bring up the Cowboys or Falcons. Yes I appreciate a great defense, but that is not why I watch football.
  8. Yes hard to really comprehend and as I posted elsewhere The thing is after the past # of years & since McD was made HC, I have been derided because as a Bills fan we have been subjected to what at best was mediocrity (longest playoff drought prior to 2017) and for the most part very boring football, where the Offense in the last 20 years was never in the top 8 (one year at 9), seldom in the top half of the league & many years in the bottom 5. McD's 3 years has been 28, 30 & 23. Yep I appreciate defense, but I watch games for 31-27 games not 17-13. Those who liked the 2019 Sb (NE vs. LA) all the power to you, but just not fun. This year is fun, and hope it contiinues.
  9. If this was 2019, McD would be designing a game plan to run time off the clock, plenty of runs, play field position and pray for a Duck Hodges performance by Mahomes & Wilson and to be close come the 4th Quarter. Thankfully it is 2020......🤣
  10. Actually I think the others you mention have more rope too. Yesterday Mahomes through a few terrible passes & I do find myself thinking TBD and imagining the responses here on the gameday thread about how bad Allen is.......🤣 Nice to be on the other side (for now).
  11. I'm not bothered, more so an observation in how the narrative has changed this year. Last year at TBD, I'd say maybe 30-40% would talk about Allen's "flaws" and yes I'd point out other Top-tier QB's & their bad passes and get the same response. Heck before this season most had him ranked 18-20 amongst NFL QB (nfl.com, sporting news, NBC & PFF #27).... Fun being on the other side for once.
  12. 2018 & 2019 I saw things in Allen & continually said he needed more opportunity, to set him free & the need for better receivers. Week after week I'd see other receivers & QB's make plays & catches and I would post here "Why do we seldom see even a somewhat difficult catch made or win a 50/50 battle, forget just the simple catch (i.e. drops)". Now we see them, but also what I see again & agaqin, but often drowned out here are bad passes other elite QB's make, but are non-chalantly written off or excused because of the QB. Yesterday I saw Mahomes throw some bad balls & we see the same from Rodgers, Wilson, Brees, Brady (2 pick sixes already)..... But they have cache so seldom is it brought up. Prior to 2020, every bad or so-so throw by Josh was deemed uncatchable or further evidence of his inaccuracy (again I note the NYJ pic-6 off Beasley week 1 2019 as a case in point). Nice this year that a different narrative is being written.
  13. Sure Rogers nipped him last night so all is good @ PFF? Also they claimed this was the only game he did not have a turnover. He did not have one vs. Miami either.
  14. The Browns are 3-1 with wins vs. Bengals, Washington & Dallas (not exactly a murderers row). Their one loss was badly to Baltimore. Next two weeks will be a little more difficult.
  15. Look I will beat a dead horse on Watkins, who did prove himself a good receiver and posted #'s in Buffalo. I will go on about the stupidity of the trade and the fact McD gutted the offense in 2017..... but Zay Jones was a second round pick who put up below average #'s and is now gone...... Not worth discussion.
  16. When Josh was considered inaccurate it was a bad pass. Now that he is accurate it is the receiver's fault!!!!😆
  17. Perfectly catchable ball. That one was on Cole.... Let me guess.... You're an unpaid intern for pff??????😜😡
  18. Haven't seen him the last two weeks run when protection breaks down or out of the pocket either. I don't want too many designed runs, just haven't seen any scrambles either the last two weeks.
  19. Just interesting that he hasn't run at all..... And only 288 yesterday......😡 Expect more from Allen!!!!😜
  20. No I don't want him to be Lamar or Kyler, but not one run this week (QB sneak for TD notwithstanding), but wondering as to the reasoning. Seemed there were some opportunities and certainly understand being careful after the injury, however this too was evident in the LA game too.
  21. It was 2nd & 20 & both were short passes no where near enough for a first down but were thrown with them on a run. It was a pass that while tight coverage, was only where Diggs could catch it and was a perfect pass in that regard (if thrown more to the right as he made his cut, yes a TD).
  22. Almost comical watching the Cowboys down & trying to claw back game after game........
  23. Great passes need to be caught & these were. I have posted over & over at the lack of catches the Bills seem to make and now they are making them (however there were 4 drops yesterday!!). Yes watch other games and you continually see contested catches & then would wonder why not Buffalo? Anyone else remember week 1 vs. NYJ in 2019 and Beasly not making a pretty smple catch (hit him in the #'s) that popped up resulting in a pick 6 & then arguing about Allen's accuracy as to whether it was a good pass? And again we have high expectations of Josh & can complain that on a 42 yard bomb, that he didn't lead Diggs enough..... A different world for a Bills fan. Good write-up Shaw.
  24. And I still blame McD & Daboll for 2017-19. Josh has improved as has the players around him, the coaching & game plan.
