  1. Literally wants Shakir to show WR1 potential and talent. JA17 has told Beane as much, so Beane tells us. Those two believe they can pull this off. Make the fans think… Okay, there’s our guy, right there! That’s as the roster stands right now. He knows damn well that Samuel better be a good signing. Everyone else is absolutely nobody. He knows the fans know. Beane is riding with Josh on this one for the Shakir bump to kept the fans from drooling 24/7 over a new WR1 talent. But, Beane knows better too. He says this thing to calm us, but is hard at work to get a top WR in this draft. Could you imagine if Beane goes into next season with this WR group + a 2nd round pick. Unless that rookie is an instant game piece, with impact, We better have an improvement ACROSS THE BOARD everywhere else. Better have. RD1 is Edge, RD2 would have to be WR AND S. I think if the Bills pick a second round WR they would have to acquire another R2 pick spent on a R1 talent guy at DLine or S. I don’t know how they get another R2 pick. We have zero players we’d trade for a pick that high. I’m not even sure we have any players worth a R2 pick in a total hypothetical. Maybe Dawkins or Kincaid to a team that’s desperate. I’m not saying the Bills should do that… I don’t think they could even if they wanted to. Beane’s getting us a WR. I’ll guarantee it.
  2. Answer to the OP. Hugely relieved on the inside, and excited for the new challenge on the outside. He’s thrilled. He knows Diggs wa’n’t all that and he can lead this team to greatness with his guys now. No you didn’t. And now I have to
  3. If Beane doesn’t draft “Storm Duck” at the end of the draft, I’m done.
  4. Ahh now you’re talking. The essence of every football team is the Big Nasties. They are the only true brotherhood room in the building. My limited football experience is from the view of quarterback, wr, cb, and fs. I would be thrilled if the Bills hired Joe Thomas to scout, and integrate his evaluations into the OBD final OLine rankings and final big board. It’s all a mystery to me, but it shouldn’t be to a 1st ballot Hall of Famer that played on bad teams, with bad players, and bad coaches. When I watch film, I can’t tell how good the fat guys are because they slow down to attack lesser talented defenders. And then there’s the whole unpredictable bust factor. But I’d think centers in general are more likely to take the game seriously than the other positions. So there’s that. I’m all for acquiring a center that becomes Josh’s dude for the next ten years. That role should be important to JA17. Jackson Johnson Jack Powers certainly looks the part and if the evaluators like him I’m all for it. Plus he wins the 2024 Draft name contest. Can’t take Kool Aid that seriously. What about Payton Wilson? We ALWAYS GET HURT AT LINEBACKER, and I’ll just leave it at that. Your thoughts?
  5. Were you around during the trial? I swear, I remember thinking the glove moment was such a joke. I felt like nobody could possibly believe for a second that OJ didn’t manipulate his hand and the glove. 1. Who wouldn’t if they were in his Bruno Magli’s?! What idiot is going to gleeful slip on the evidence.. hahahaha. Preposterous!! 2. He didn’t give a ***** about trying on the glove that the killer wore to squeeze the knife that killed his ex. Man, if anyone needs anymore evidence that he is deranged.. there you go. So I question that juror’s claim, or the attempt of that 30for30 to cover the juror’s asses. Makes way more sense that that juror took it out on the LAPD. It was a wild WILD time in LA for law enforcement back then. The mini series about the Biggie investigation, with the guy from The Wire, is a nice look into LA LE in the 90s.
  6. Is Mitchell the loud mouth? On the field, what’s not to like. Big, fast, strong. So my bs take is that his feet are slow at the line of scrimmage. Hands might be slow too. I saw a lot of in-stride running on his YouTube highlight vid. …Wondering why he got caught on one of those against the maroon team…🤔 Here’s my even more awful assumption.. maybe he runs faster without pads… some guys are most definitely like that. On the vid, I didn’t really see speed+quickness,, just kind of a nice strider’s glide. I wonder how quickly he can locate the ball, break down and get his hands up for a contested catch, on like a 40yd sideline something. I believe Josh needs a guy that can do that. It’s a throw he wants to make, and I think he’s good at it, but his WR haven’t been good at it. You know who can do that..??😎 Top three WRs🤗 Anyways.. I would rather have Worthy plus that value of drafting him in R2, than Michell at 28. Two totally different styles. How about Worthy-???
  7. Stinks. Didn’t know about the legal troubles. How do you see Dejean panning out in our defense? I like where you going with this because I think we have a cool little thing with the Bills — a safeties legacy. Poyer and Hyde set a standard and I’d love to get that back asap. I have to trust that the organization will capitalize on the example those two have given them. That’s the mould we need to be looking for. Their interchangeable qualities were hugely aggressive to and at the ball, and fearless tackling. Having two guys back there that compliment each other so well was the most significant thing a McDermott defense has accomplished during his tenure. So absolutely, I can see the desire to address that. After WR. Next player. Looking to get to the QB. Darius or Chop Robinson. The Bills DESPERATELY need to disrupt QB, and right now I don’t see how they are going to do that consistently.
  8. Just another little weird distant connection I have is that as a kid and then a young adult, I’d attend the LA Open at Riviera Country Club every single year from the late 80s until forever. Where was our cheap parking spot..? Right in front of the Rockingham house. We always called it “park at OJ’s.” As a kid, not realizing that the $20 to park at Paul Revere Middle School (where OJ’s kids attended, and where he famously went to their stage performance the night of the murders, I think) was way worth the money and time it took to walk to the tourney entrance, I always loved that I knew where Buffalo Bill great OJ Simpson lived. Then the crime happened. The drive we take from the 10 fwy to the golf course goes right by Nicole’s condo and OJ’s mansion. Go freaking figure.
  9. You can’t leave out the jury. That group is fascinating to me. Wonder if any of them have commented on his death. If a juror admitted that their judgement was based on anything other than their unbiased understanding of the evidence presented, they are committing a felony. This isn’t Nam. Again, I actually think he didn’t do it, but I think he knew exactly what happened.
  10. The thread has some back and forth conversations in it. So let me ask you about this Sweat. He a BIG man! Love him as a person, from what I see. Is he a projected R1 pick? EVERY team could use him, and I hope he has a great NFL career, but I’m just not sure how valuable this sort of player is to this Bills team. An obvious run stuffer, space eater. But does he have to be doubled? If he’s not quick enough to beat a very good inside OLineman, and/or fast enough to move ten yards to disrupt a rolling QB, the Bills should use their top picks on pass catchers. I’m pretty set on that given this team’s current weapons. If a move up is to be made, there are three—up to top 6; up to top 12, up to top 20ish. All depends which WR is available. I think we all like BTJ as the 4th WR..? So move to 20 and give up a R2 pick for that? He better be a sure thing in the Bills war room. To do that, there has to be some scouts who believe he’ll be a better pro than at least one top three guy. What if somehow Bowers is there at 12-15? I think he’s better than Kincaid, and if he is, and this board is correct that Kincaid is the next Kelce (which he’s not obviously) then how could anyone here disagree with a trade up to the mid teens for two Travis Kelces on the team. Absolute no freaking brainer. I know it sounds like a fantasy type of What-if, but it’s not at all. The Patriots drafted a murderer to get there. And Kelce has KILLED us. We, if anyone should, know that two Kelces is an absolute game changer. Right now, forget about the cost of trades and any WRs that could be drafted after R1, would you take Bowers or BTJ? A big reason why I like it even more is because it guarantees the Bills have to still hit WR again in R2 hopefully. This thread is about the first round, and I don’t really know what else there is to talk about expect WRs.. stay, trade.. whatever. If the eventual pick isn’t a WR, I’ll be wondering WTF.
  11. With MHJ, Nabers, and Odunze off the board, the Bills move to draft Bowers TE. What does this look like? Catch and run mismatch TEs on the field all the time. R2, get a WR. There is no question that the Bills hit WR HEAVY. They have no choice at all. The best ball player right now is Cook,,, then..? Shakir? Kincaid? Talk about unknowns considering this is a contender team, with a super young and inexperienced OC, and a defensive minded HC who is a liability to the offensive entity. What in the world would defenses do with Allen/Cook/Bowers/Kincaid/Legette/Samuel/ Mikey likesee
  12. The Bills could be drawing attention to the kid so other teams do as well, pushing who the Bills really like one step closer to pick 28. Having top evaluators can allow organizations to play slicker poker with acquisitions, trades, drafts, contracts, etc.
  13. I’m not digging up the details but Key to Tampa Bay. That WR got them a ring. Owens to Philly. Super Bowl appearance. Any relativity there? Big time WR going to a new team and the team having instant success.
  14. The Bills have a ton of picks this year, and their R1, R2, etc. An extra R2 next year (probably a good one). With cap space next year, and the need to bring in top cheap talent via draft this year. Don’t all signs point to trading up in the 2024 R1..?
  15. Gigantic white stocking Jane Fonda big socks and shoes, and Nintendo arm controller wristband and left hand MJ glove, also in white.
  16. 21 Tompa Bays. Now that was a receiving core.
  17. I read that in one sitting at Barnes. Still did not answer that crime for me. I need to go back and read the counter arguments for his son, Jason, doing it. The insight FOR was really good.
  18. Yeah and now we have to search for his killer. Great. More to do.
  19. I read that book! Interesting take on the case. And one that I could never rule out,,, because what the hell do I know.
  20. My dad would tell me he’d sit on those benches in December to “watch OJ run”, even though the Bills Suck!” (to quote my mom). Kinda a thing sticks with a kid.
  21. After week 6..?? Harty sucked. It’s what it is. And maybe we don’t need his one and only contribution if Josh had a WR core he deserves, and some guys could hold onto touchdown drops.
