  1. If Keon plays, and he plays slot (given a banged-up Shakir), I can see maybe 4-5 catches for 50-75 yards and a TD mixed in. That would be the high end of the stats I expect from him this week.
  2. Very well articulated, thanks!
  3. Hey, how old are your boys? I brought my 15 year old son last January for Ravens playoff game, and we had an amazing time (but obviously weren't bar hopping!!). We hit Hammers lot and he actually drank an N/A beer. It was worth seeing all the festivities there. We also had Chefs for dinner one night, Tim Hortons, Andersons (he loved the beef on weck so much we snuck sandwiches into the game). Have fun!!
  4. Tough game to predict. More so than usual, anything is possible. But at home and with the bad weather, I expect us to pound the crap out of them with some passing thrown in. Bills 27 Bucs 20. In a sense i’m sort of glad we’re playing away at Houston on Thursday night because in those Thursday games anything goes and we kinda need some breaks to go our way to win that one in my view. At worst we go 1-1 between now and 8 days from now. One can hope! Go Bills.
  5. Use Coleman sparingly in the slot. That's the most snaps I'd give him if Gabe and Palmer are good to go.
  6. If a stinker on O for both games, then maybe Brady's fired with the mini bye in play. I can't imagine any scenario where he'd by fired on Monday.
  7. Generally agree. That said, I’ll take the laser-focused nearly flawless Josh in this year’s Chiefs game too. D showed up but Josh and the rest of the O played extremely well. Josh wasn’t wearing a cape per se but his play was topnotch
  8. Agreed but Chiefs unlikely to win division so we wouldn't see them until second or third round (and possibly in our house). Ravens path is most likely to win division and be 3rd or 4th seed, so that is a potential huge issue: facing them in WC round! That's why I said we need to luck into favorable matchups. It would certainly suck to play Ravens on the road in WC round when we have the h-to-h win against them!
  9. Playing teams like the Broncos or even Indy that seem a bit overrated to me. This is assuming we have a healthy Kincaid and Palmer and the D reasonably healthy as well. I am not saying it would be easy but there would be a path if we had "playoff Josh" plus a defense that didn't suck.
  10. I'm ratcheting down my expectations - I expect us to win one of the next two games (probably beat TB and then lose on the road at Houston, although Thurs night games can be crapshoots). We have a lot of road games coming up where we tend to do worse. Looks like we're trending toward a WC spot. But that may not be so bad if we get hot at the right time and luck into favorable matchups.
  11. I would love this as a poster!
  12. Hopefully the Pats game will be "do or die" for the Ravens - That could be a sneaky critical game. Then have them lose two to close out season and miss playoffs.
  13. Same here - Tough stuff for sure and generally leaves lots of unanswered questions. Glad many folks are being so open on this thread.
  14. One of these weeks I'll get the exact score - Why not this week?! Bills 31, Fish 20
  15. Not sure why the discussion is focused on Davis vs. Gore - It's Davis vs. Johnson, and Johnson was the choice last week, and he did just fine. Maybe have Gore replace Davis as the number 3? I'd be fine with that. I am not sure what you can discern from fan reaction but I can't imagine their plan was to let Bosa and company destroy Mahomes, getting the most hits of any game in his career (and worst completion % IIRC). Come on, that doesn't pass the smell test. And the Chiefs really needed a win too (just for the win given their record and also since it's an AFC game and also re h-to-h tiebreaker vs. Bills). But of course their game plan if we see them in the playoffs will be different - It will address deficiencies from the regular season game, have a bunch of other wrinkles, etc., etc.
  16. Very much agree - I can only imagine what TB is planning to do after his own death - One of his lives is enough for me!
  17. I think there's plenty of pluses and minuses to either call there and I was fine with the FG attempt. FG attempt: End the game, punt not likely to net much yards (and chance of block), and if miss, still big challenge to score and tie with no timeouts and little time Punt: Burn a bit more clock, might pin deep, small chance gets blocked, don't put the game away by making FG, very tall order to march down field from that deep
  18. I see where you're coming from, good insight, and there's the Chiefs mystique in the playoffs, but I think I'd be fine having a week extra rest and playing the Chiefs at Highmark this year.
  19. Funny guy - Call it what you want but the ridiculous, unfounded, extremely negative takes were dubious even before the game and haven't aged well at all.
  20. I completely agree - So many awful, ridiculous pre-game takes. Bills will get killed. Bills have no identity on offense. Bills defense sucks. etc. etc. Bills 17 Chiefs 37. It's one thing to be realistic so you're not completely devastated by a loss, but it's another to be genuinely extremely negative given that defense looked much better at Carolina, Josh gets out of his minor funks, and we generally crush teams at home.
  21. I generally agree with this. And people should not evaluate the passing game in a vacuum. It hasn’t looked great at times and our receivers aren’t topnotch but (1) Josh only played 3/4 of Panthers game so passing numbers will be lower (2) Cook has been on fire and obviously you pass less when running is so effective (3) I saw that Josh’s completion percentage through first 7 games is much higher than last year - that’s encouraging to me and (4) in Ravens game when we needed to pass, we were effective. I’m just not as down on the team nor the passing game given the above (and injuries) An off topic aside: People seem to be focusing so much on Ray Davis to spell Cook and also Gore. I’m not sure why people aren’t talking about Ty Johnson. He’s looked good running the ball at times. And last year he seemed to be really good on the broken plays catching the ball.
  22. Agreed (thanks for the added detail) - It's a very exciting but also extremely scary life-changing situation for both parents
  23. Interesting - Theory would make more sense if they already had a newborn. At least in my experience, being pregnant sucks for the mom-to-be but at least in the early months, doesn't impact the dad too much - BUT maybe she's fairly far along and/or is having a rough time even in the early days of pregnancy?
