I saw this and it doesn't make any sense because many teams like the Bills and Chiefs won in January 2025.

Week 2, Bills v. Jest, PREDICT THE SCORE!
TheWei44 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 31 Jets 20 (I guess I'm agreeing with F's Dead!). -
True, but also assumes we'd stop the Ravens from getting just one first down - I was a little surprised Ravens weren't a little more aggressive in that spot. But I can't blame them for punting on 4th and 3 (particularly given Lamar had just gotten clobbered by Big Ed).

The interesting thing to me is that IIRC McDermott tightened up similarly in the second half of the playoff game and let the Ravens back in a bit by being somewhat conservative. So maybe Harbaugh and McDermott coach similarly with a sizeable lead? And perhaps true of a lot of coaches? It's also interesting to me that we missed a 2-pt conversion near the end of the game to tie it (like what happened with the Ravens). Thankfully we had some time left to work with (and 3 timeouts).

The KC Vs Chargers game implications for the Bills
TheWei44 replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's just the first game and all, but it's hard to imagine a scenario where this loss won't matter down the road in some fashion re the playoffs. And it also suggests the possibility that there's a new sheriff in town in the AFC West. Time will tell but a promising start for anyone anti-Chiefs! -
Week 1, Nevermores v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!

Expect a close, hard fought game with some weird/unexpected plays - Will be a very entertaining game that will go down to the wire, unfortunately. Bills 27 Ravens 24 -
Sounds like reading comprehension is not your strong suit - All good, my friend. Have a nice day.

Focusing on two plays, rather than the full context of the game, is short sighted and a fool's errand. And even if you want to focus on those two plays, Allen made a friggin miraculous throw under ridiculous pressure to give us a chance. Kudos to the Chiefs for doing something unexpected on the line on that play. But back to my main point: Teams win or lose games from the full body of work for the full 60 minutes. Sure, certain plays are more important than others, but I would list at least 4-5 reasons why the Bills lost to the Chiefs last season. C'mon man, be better!

Season Opening Week Has Finally Arrived!!! -- What's on Your Menu?

It's my birthday, so I am hoping for cake, pizza/wings, bourbon/scotch, and a win (roughly in that order!). -
Where are you in Cincinnati? We're in Wyoming (OH!).

Defer if we win coin toss - Everyone will be very amped up and I think I'd rather start on defense given that. And I think in general, it's generally best to defer.

Let's just say I was surprised how durable Jackson and Henry were last year given all the running they did (and Henry's age) - I won't type it explicitly but I think you guys get the idea. And I would never wish injuries on anyone. But it's a long season.
-
Have you looked at the per game numbers? Totals might obscure the truth given that more games are played now in the regular season than in the recent past.

My son is selling some sort of Funko Pop thing on ebay right now. I am clueless, but it seems to be a miniature figurine sort of thing (his is Gravity Falls/Dipper Pines whatever that is) Hobbies: Skiing, walking, hiking, fishing, coin collecting, platform tennis, poker (and unsuccessfully trying to learn how to play acoustic guitar).

For f@ck's sake, you guys are all a bunch of ferries! Not that there's anything wrong with that!

We lost the last playoff game we played last year for 4-5 main reasons, of which injuries were one. We did the same 4th and short play over and over, so we were too predictable. We didn't adjust well enough to their key plays. We were on the wrong end of some calls. Keeping Cook out of our final drive also wasn't ideal. These are from memory but injuries, while important, were not the only problem. That said, injury to Benford was a big factor in the loss for sure!

Did you guys hear that he went to Yale? : )

Is it unusual that 6 of the top 10 have first names starting with "J"?! In all seriousness, top 10 list seems fine - I'd maybe put Herbert lower and CJ higher (in top 10)
