  1. I think there's plenty of pluses and minuses to either call there and I was fine with the FG attempt. FG attempt: End the game, punt not likely to net much yards (and chance of block), and if miss, still big challenge to score and tie with no timeouts and little time Punt: Burn a bit more clock, might pin deep, small chance gets blocked, don't put the game away by making FG, very tall order to march down field from that deep
  2. I see where you're coming from, good insight, and there's the Chiefs mystique in the playoffs, but I think I'd be fine having a week extra rest and playing the Chiefs at Highmark this year.
  3. Funny guy - Call it what you want but the ridiculous, unfounded, extremely negative takes were dubious even before the game and haven't aged well at all.
  4. I completely agree - So many awful, ridiculous pre-game takes. Bills will get killed. Bills have no identity on offense. Bills defense sucks. etc. etc. Bills 17 Chiefs 37. It's one thing to be realistic so you're not completely devastated by a loss, but it's another to be genuinely extremely negative given that defense looked much better at Carolina, Josh gets out of his minor funks, and we generally crush teams at home.
  5. I generally agree with this. And people should not evaluate the passing game in a vacuum. It hasn’t looked great at times and our receivers aren’t topnotch but (1) Josh only played 3/4 of Panthers game so passing numbers will be lower (2) Cook has been on fire and obviously you pass less when running is so effective (3) I saw that Josh’s completion percentage through first 7 games is much higher than last year - that’s encouraging to me and (4) in Ravens game when we needed to pass, we were effective. I’m just not as down on the team nor the passing game given the above (and injuries) An off topic aside: People seem to be focusing so much on Ray Davis to spell Cook and also Gore. I’m not sure why people aren’t talking about Ty Johnson. He’s looked good running the ball at times. And last year he seemed to be really good on the broken plays catching the ball.
  6. Agreed (thanks for the added detail) - It's a very exciting but also extremely scary life-changing situation for both parents
  7. Interesting - Theory would make more sense if they already had a newborn. At least in my experience, being pregnant sucks for the mom-to-be but at least in the early months, doesn't impact the dad too much - BUT maybe she's fairly far along and/or is having a rough time even in the early days of pregnancy?
  8. Even last week he threw 2 picks in first half - The Commanders just couldn't do jack sh@t with those opportunities.
  9. Agree. We’re catching Chiefs at a bad time. But at least we’re at home; short week for them; Pacheco hobbled at best; our D seems to be coming on w a lot of new faces and energy. As others noted, need to have a solid plan B and C if Cook gets shut down. I expect a dogfight type of game. For years it’s been like a divisional game since we play them so often. Allen needs to be smart and sharp and use his legs if necessary. Go Bills!
  10. I have been on record saying that this "twice in one season" thing is mostly BS. If I flip a coin and it's heads, I am just as likely to flip it again and have it be heads. It's only after you flip it twice (or however many times) can you say, wow, getting heads twice happens 25% of the time. That said, to the extent that there is learning and adjustment between the first and second games, and perhaps the revenge factor, then maybe the second game isn't independent of the first. If that's the case, then it's not as clean as two coin flips (or similar analogy like rolling the dice). But I imagine it's still close.
  11. And Josh had two rushing TDs as well. There's generally not a lot to complain about on either side of the ball when you win 40-9 and rest starters in the fourth quarter.
  12. Yes, and when you play basically 3 quarters!
  13. I can't imagine things could get much worse back there, and he needs to start getting some reps (assuming he is 100% healthy). I am cautiously optimistic that he can contribute in some positive way soon. Go Bills!!
  14. This is not a true “must win”, but there’s only so many games that you’re supposed to win that you can lose and still be in contention so we really gotta have this one. Watch us lose this one and then beat the Chiefs. Would be a fairly Billsy couple of games! Go Bills.
  15. Bills 27 Panthers 20 but I'm concerned
  16. 11-6 seems about right. And depending how those break either division champ or 5/6 seed WC. Anything can happen in post season and maybe we have health and some luck on our side this year?
  17. Or BS DPI calls like the one against Tre? I'm sure there would be downsides, but teams should be able to use challenge flag (maybe once per game, and included in current total of red flags) to challenge a penalty. A panel of 3 people (in NY or somewhere) would have 3-4 minutes to review all footage and make a final decision. Something like that. And if refs knew they could be challenged, it would incentivize them not to make ridiculous calls. Just my 2 cents.
  18. I think Waddle is very unlikely. With Tyreek out, they need someone at WR and trading to us would have implications potentionally for next 4-5+ years. Saints eg seem like a much more plausible trading partner. We need to do something for sure!! Go Bills.
  19. Agreed - Case in point: Cooper last year. And especially with Palmer out for a bit and Coleman not looking great, I think it's fairly likely.
  20. What would be worse: wheelchairs or rocking chairs?! I think my cat would be cool with wheelchairs. Go Bills!
  21. This is exactly what I'd do - I hear the Falcons are on the smaller side and good against the pass - So let's smash it down their throats with our big men!
