  1. No reason to fear this at all. This is a good sign. Whaley and co should be turning over every stone with all of their players based on their current evaluations and internal assessments. Taylor has huge upside so it makes sense to stake a larger claim into him. Obviously you wouldn't want to see them just turn the keys over to him with a Fitzpatrick-like deal, but you also can't be in the situation where he plays lights-out this year and then all of the sudden becomes a unrestricted FA. It's called due-diligence.
  2. Anyone have thoughts on what the Bills should be willing to pay a DE of Mario's current caliber in order to keep him on the roster? I think there is zero chance the two sides come to an agreement. I feel the Bills would rather try their luck in the draft and deal with a rookie level salary. I doubt Mario would go from 19mil to 3mil/year.
  3. This is terrible reasoning... I could care less what anyone in the Bills organization "sounds" like. Whaley just needs to bring in talent. Anything more is meaningless to me. I'm not sure why you care what he sounds like.
  4. You don't know??? Dude embarrassing... and I'm not going to tell you
  5. Cam actually missed out on a chance to become America's favorite person of all time when the Pats lost this past week. Imagine the Patriots back in the Super Bowl, and Cam Newton the one who stopped the cheating patriots! Idk if my heart could have taken it and i'm glad i don't have to stress again until next year. I'll be rooting for the Broncos, go Payton!
  6. Taylor's biggest question-mark is if he can stay healthy for 19-20 games year in year out.
  7. There has been no on the field evidence to lead me to believe that Rex can build a winning team. It's like when people keep saying "oh, the Bills can still make the playoffs if they were to just win-out their remaining 4/5/6 games" We've got a dead coach and there's nothing that I've seen that could lead me to make such a ridiculous prediction
  8. Assuming he's still in great shape... I would absolutely want him on the Bills. The guy was clearly targeted by the league. Pot is going to be legal everywhere soon and this will be one more thing that makes the NFL/Goodell look like the laughable joke of a league it is.
  9. He might be... but even if he was better, would it matter? I can only assume it would be a marginal improvement at best. Would you honestly feel better about the backup situation if you added a garnish to a pile of garbage? I think the Bills should set their sights much higher for a back-up. The Bills need to identify their best option for finding a backup qb not one that could potentially be slightly better than EJ.
  10. I feel somewhat confident that if improve the O-line in free agency and the draft, that we will really see Roman's offense start to click.
  11. Of course thanks to the great coaching we had this year, Rex has put these players in the best possible position to succeed! -sarcasm- Hell, Dareus hasn't even done well this year! If the best player on the roster (paid like it) can't look like a stud in Rex's system, then there is no way you can criticize Whaley on the performance of rookies and 2-year vets. Let Whaley pick a coach, and then you can hate on him if the Bills still stink. This team is in a complete rebuild mode currently. Dareus' contract is a killer and doesn't make sense to tie so much money in a DT under Rex's scheme.... We'll have to wait for his contract to expire before the Bills can afford more pro-bowlers and make the playoffs. Thanks Pegula, it was a blast waiting 5 years for the sabres to look respectable again. I'm so thrilled we get to do the same with our Bills.
  12. Not even kidding. This team needs to tank the rest of the way to aim for as high a draft pick as possible and it should start this week The season is done. I now wish we had lost to Tennessee and the Jets as we'd be in much better drafting position. ps wasn't it great when Marrone beat the Patriots 2nd string to improve his coaching record??
  13. I think it's funny that reporters think that we give a damn if the players hurt their feelings. ****ty content article. I'll never click on this type of garbage
  14. After the KC game there was zero chance the Bills make the playoffs. This team is not good. I'm not saying they don't have talented players, but they are a bad TEAM. Team sport bro! Penalties and poor coaching. How could anyone expect the Bills to win out?? Imagine if the team lost to Tennessee and Jacksonville...
  15. Fatal flaw with your analysis... Brady has so many more pass attempts for a reason... it's because he extends drives and keeps their offense on the field more. Throw up 3 and outs, or average plays per drive in your assessment and you'll see... Sure we run the ball more than the Pats, but drawing a comparison that they're equivalent based on these stats? You're nuts to think they're anywhere close to being equal talents.
  16. This team holds no tie-breakers after KC loss (more importantly after Jax loss)... would need 10 wins to get in. I don't see it happening especially with our o-line injuries. This team was performing slightly above average when healthy, and now they have to play catch-up with added injuries. The upcoming loss to Houston this week will be the nail in the coughin. It's a shame because this season we got to face the NFC Least... last year we put some blame of the record on our difficult schedule.
  17. No one will read your boring paragraphs after reading the topic. I only came here to see someone other than the Bills take a beating to make me feel better
  18. You are record... could have 2-3 more wins... could have 2-3 more losses... But their 5-6 Should have lost to Tennessee Should have lost to the Jets Should have beaten Jax Giants game was a toss up The Bills take penalties and make mistakes. You can't say "if they didn't do that they'd win" because it's what they do.
  19. Hate to continue to pile on... acutally no i don't. The officiating/game fixing needs to be addressed. haven't seen anyone mention the blatant stiff-arm by Maclin to create separation on Gilmore on a huge play (30+yard catch) that led to a TD. How does the official watching this play think that Maclin went from zero separation to 5 yards of separation within a split second??? The answer is offensive pass interference, he pushes off!!! And of course the commentators call this a veteran move! At lost for words... 1 Maclin Stiff arm converts TD 2 Maclin non-catch converts TD 3 Alex Smith scramble generous mark converts 1st dwn leads to pts (dont recall if this was a TD or FG) 4 Garbage spot given to Mccoy on the Bills final drive 5 Forward progress not awarded to Clay on Bills final drive 4 Hogan catch called a drop stops a Bills drive THE ABOVE INCORRECT CALLS ALL FAVORED Kansas CITY! These refs are a joke! Why do we have a bunch of pasty old men officiating the fastest most physical game int he world?? Why can't the god damn NFL pay some legit athletes legit salaries to call these games appropriatly. Either the refs are just that bad, or the league is fixed
  20. You can't throw in the towel in TT after a bad game. Treat this guy like a rookie, he's had his ups and downs. The bigger concern is if he can stay healthy for a 16+ game season. I think Miller going out was a huge hit to this team. Their run game really struggled once he went out.
  21. Take the Saints vs Brett Favre approach. Just watch out for the TT retaliation. If somehow Brady gets knocked out of the game, I'd bench TT as he is just as important to the Bills going forward, and I'd assume the pats to retaliate. Knocking Brady out would be a bigger victory than just winning this one game!
  22. Believe me, if the Bills make the playoffs and TT is healthy the rest of the year, his contract will 100% be restructured/extended. There won't be a hold-out
  23. Is this not the definition of a reactionary league or what?!?! He throws 4 touchdowns against against one of the worst pass defensive teams in the league and they want to throw all this money at him? Reminds me a bit of the Fitzpatrick overreaction signing. He's a project quarterback at this point. I think he'll get better, but you're spending 17 million on the hope that he develops.. you're not getting an already developed 17mil quarterback IMO. It's interesting how NFL owners act like crazed girlfriends clinging to any hopes of that long term relationship at all costs to find the right quarterback! .... TT scares me a bit regarding a long term deal. I think he's an excellent quarterback and fit for the team with dynamic skill set. But I have worries about him staying healthy. In the NFL it has been proven that you cannot win with your back-up quarterback. (fine the steelers went 500) but playoffs are not realistic with extended loss of your starting qb. If TT starts the remainder of the games this year, I think he gets paid by the Bills. If he keeps getting dinged up, misses games here or there, I don't think you can entrust the team to that type of starter and the Bills would have to do the responsible thing and look for an alternative solution/qb.
  24. I would agree, however a few weeks back Golden Tate's TD was NOT overturned. The reason given that he was not going to the ground therefore did not need to maintain possession beyond the initial act of a catch. Bottom line, there's not consistency and I hate the Patriots.
  25. This is seriously the most idiotic thread. I bet this guy also used to think that EJ should have been the starter going into the year
