  1. I would imagine, we as fans, have inflated expectations of our favorite players and maybe have a blind eye seeing their real talents and how they compare to their competitors. Right now the team seems really solid, really ready to assume control of the AFC East. Do we still have weaknesses?
  2. Joe was a great Bill and a great guy. I remember the time after a Bill's game ( I'm sure it was a win) , I took my son ( who was about 10 yrs. old at the time) out to the parking lot where the players came out and they would sign autographs for the kids. Well, we spotted Joe sitting in the back of his suv signing autographs. My son asked him for his autograph and Joe says "sure" and signs my son's program. Then Joe asked my son if he played football. My son said "yes, I'm the quarterback for my Vince Lombardi team." Joe said, "Wow, you better give me your autograph, you might be famous, someday." So my son signed his name on a small piece of paper and gave it to him. That was awesome. My son was beaming all the way home.
  3. I find it very humorous of the responses to this thread. First of all our draft picks are 54, 88, 128,167,188,207, and 239. What are the odds that from these picks we are going to get two players that can step right in and contribute to a playoff run. Very, very slim. The intent of the thread was from that angle. If you think the money is not right, or we don't need those particular players. OK. But when I read, that you don't think that in your opinion this thread should be allowed or entered, I really wonder. Wow. We really have inflated egos. Don't we. .
  4. Would that be a bad deal for the Bills or would that make the Bills one of the top teams in the AFC?
  5. According to NFL .com Marlowe returns to the Bills.
  6. I'm really confused with Duke's status with the Bills. He was a healthy scratch during 90% of the season and then during the most important game of the season, the playoff game with the Texans , he was one of JA's main targets. To me something about this doesn't make sense. Maybe, somebody can enlighten me.
  7. I guess I'm thinking differently. I would take the best RB in the draft, Swift with the first pick. Then take the best 2 WR's left in rounds 2 and 3. Get DL, OL, And LB help through free agency.
  8. The Bills had the Texans on the ropes. The Texans were reeling, We were up 13-0 and we are down near the red zone. Instead of playing the way they had been playing, The play calling got conservative. They put in Gore. Seemed to be happy with settling for a field goal. Again they did it in the second half. IMO it was a major reason they lost the game
  9. We have "Smoke" with John Brown. Josh could be "Fire". Where there is smoke there is fire.
  10. I think that in the first three games they showed they were the better team in each game, but only played well enough to win to make them close games. It's like they're playing to the level of their competition. I'm hoping that they will step up their game playing against the Patriots. They will need to do that against the Pats. They've shown by their play that they have the talent, but they have to sustain it. No let up. No mistakes, GO BILLS!
  11. One of Myles Garrett's body slams, like the one he put on Trevor Siemian, should just about put an end to Brady's plans on playing until he's 45.
  12. it's official---- Singletary is out against the Bengals.
  13. We have a tavern down in Florida, McCalls, that is only for Bill's games on Sundays. It's wild, loud, and crazy with loads of crazy Bill's fans.
  14. Just wondering. Would a guy like Duke Williams make more on the practice squad or more playing in the Canadian Football League?
  15. Sills may be skinny. but he did score 35 touchdowns at West Virginia.
  16. I feel for the WR's wanting to make a final good impression and having Jackson firing wayward missiles. Good Luck.
  17. Watched the Eagles-Ravens pre-season game with Ross Tucker ( who played a few games with the Bills) as the color analyst. You can tell he was well prepared as far as being able to discuss the rookies as well as the veterans. He was also good giving insights that only an ex-player would appreciate or would see as a mistake. I think he was very entertaining and could be headed for more nationwide popularity.
  18. Pats starting center has been hospitalized with blood clots and "will miss significant time." according to Rotoworld.
