  1. Wasnt there rumbling about teams enquiring whether McCarthy was available for trade last season? If so, it looks regrettable for the immediate. Keeping Darnold might have been the smarter option if they could have afforded to.
  2. I think they do a 60/40 snap share between Monty and Gibbs in the latter’s favor. Keeping him fresh plays a part but I often wonder what he would put up if he got CMC style share; 85-90% per game. Superfreak indeed!!!!
  3. What happened to your LT? Is the injury serious?
  4. Is this where the wheels come off for Indy? Texans, @Jags, @Seahawks, 49ers, Jags @Texans.
  5. Hoping to see that Wet Ass 🐱… it isn’t for Kraft
  6. If you’re tanking with a QB like Josh, you don’t deserve his services lol If he’s injured and out for the season, sure. Go ahead.
  7. Cratered fast? The Giants are similar to the Bills in a sense. Massive resources allocated to a defense that struggles to get the job done and puts the offense in a hole. On top of that they had a game changing WR lost for the season, injuries to their OL, a RB who was a problem lost to a broken foot and a QB who looks to show real potential seemingly unwilling to protect himself once he’s already picked up the yards needed to move the chains. Not advocating to bring Dab back but I think he got the wrong end of the deal there. Especially when the guy making the moves and deals is still there in Beane Jr. the fact he still got a pass after letting Saquon walk to a division rival after the guy was more than willing to stay in a seemingly inept and stagnant team says enough. I understand the sentiment and Dab should shoulder some of the blame but putting all of it on him is a bit unjust.
  8. Id take a chance at it is possible. If his head is on correctly and he’s healthy, the guy is a reasonable addition to any team struggling at the position. Which we are. Not the biggest fan of Aiyuk but it would be an improvement if the first couple of points married the acquisition. I like the Tempo of your post. Make the call!
  9. Theyre disappointing on a lot of fronts in the defense but you can have a stud corner and plays can still be made. One dominant guy on the line can help the rest of his positional group out as well as the back end… I’d take a quality edge player or DT and average to mediocre DB’s than I would a stud CB if Benford fit that bill. That’s not to say they wouldn’t make a difference but rather, again, a game wrecker up front makes a bigger difference. Also to boot, you’re absolutely right that Benford is inexcusable as much as Rousseau in terms of $ to product. I like Ed and think he’s a vital missing piece to our problems, the guy can’t be paid that much and be missing to injury or a disappearing act. Big problems all around for big $. Hopefully they can get back to what earned them those contracts.
  10. Never heard of such a thing. Seems like a post a pistachio shell fly maker would say…
  11. Can’t argue with that when the stats say they have most yards on offense in the league @ 4200… 4th most passing yards and 1st in rushing. The OC isn’t THE issue but he is an issue. Bad play selections at crucial times and downs play a huge part. A bigger part is the turnovers. Clean football was how we get so many wins.
  12. Keys to the city one day… A POS the next. TBD!
  13. I’ll tell you who loving Jim Kelly is not impossible for… Himself.
  14. He is the highest paid defender man. Whether it’s factored in this year or the future. He’s at an average for $20m a season. $3m more than Benford and Ed. He got paid. $39m at signing to be exact. $54m practical guarantee if the contract numbers online are accurate. “It’s ok boss. I know you paid me top dollar for the role in our industry. I’ll make it up later” As I’ve stated in other posts, I’m not bashing Greg or saying he’s garbage but simply the production isn’t matching the $’s he was given
  15. Absolutely looks purposeful, at least to me. Feel he sees his teammate coming on top of Josh and chooses a lesser tackling option than holding on and potentially damaging the ankle, tibia/fibula or knee.
  16. Definitley a friendly contract to potentially get out of if they ever go that route, that would be in my opinion either via trade or a restructure. Not an outright cut. Will give them credit for that bit of good business on his extension. The problem is that right now he’s the highest paid defender on the team…
  17. A true Yinzer!!! j/k
  18. For sure. Just like Josh his first year… outstanding running the ball but that wasn’t going to cut it. Even then I don’t think I’d say Groot is outstanding this year. Good with a flash of great here or there at best.
  19. Just men who were once kids living out their dream. Like you said, respect to those who let up in a split second if they are able.
  20. We’ve drafted some solid players over the years this regime has been here. Many of whom are key players and starters. Id rather they hit on an elite or dominant player each year. That isn’t feasible but getting a couple out of every few years should be attainable. There’s Josh and Jimbo. That’s pretty much it in terms of the upper echelon at their position. Regardless of that hope, every franchise wants that. Something that is very hard to do. If you can’t do it then do you sacrifice the premium draft picks for players who are?
