Around the NFL - Week 16 (12/22/2024) (*no Bills talk, please!*)
Sojourner replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, I absolutely agree. But that was never the point. Point was that with little talent on that team and 5 turnovers, they drove to win the game. Impressive when they are as young as they are. And with that win I think Quinn gets COTY -

Crazy. Washington have 5 turnovers on the day and they still have a chance to win the game. Very impressive for a very young team that doesn’t have much elite/top end talent -

Should have done that the minute Hurts went out. Pickett isn’t very good. -

Itll definitley help. He needs what? 600 give or take? Wow. Credit to Burrow. That was nuts. -
Was definitely a little too much but I guess everyone handles and contains their emotions differently. Fair play to the guy for being that way. Wouldn’t be me. I can honestly count on 2 hands the amount of times I’ve cried in 42 years.

This defense playing lights out for OSU.

Yes, I’ve posted a few times in the run up to our meeting that they weren’t bad. And at that point of the season they weren’t. Stats and metrics backed that up. That was 11 weeks ago. A lot can change in that period of time. So I see, by you referencing “weren’t you the one” from 3 months ago that you’re annother one who is always right and uses any point to advocate it lol. I forget there’s people like you. They’re a very average defense at this point in their season. I agree with other you there. But also nothing wrong with that if you have a productive offense. They don’t unfortunately for them. -

They’re not that bad. Al-Shaiir not being available for them is huge. -

Diontae Johnson to the Ravens (now claimed by Houston)
Sojourner replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well it’s not coincidence that was Big Ben’s last ride. As much as Ben declined, he could still sling it. Just not to the volume Pittsburgh were asking him to. It was something absurd like an average of 38 attempts per game that season. Johnson saw almost the same targets the following season but the talent @ QB, Pickett & Mitch, is a sizable step down from a poor Big Ben. To the upside not being there statement. Absolutely. That’s too much of a challenge for what the production would/could be. Headache indeed. -

Not that Houston have been playing wel by any means this year but I find it amazing how teams who are capable of playing solid football play like absolute dog poop on game day against KC 😂 -

LOL Dude, not to turn this into a basketball thing but that is a blank statement that people reference. Those Bulls teams were stacked with talent, on the level James has had only during his Miami year career. It’s not a snub to be compared to Lebron. In no way shape or form. Lebron has an insane career. 280 games averaging 28 points a year… that’s playoffs alone. 5x defensive first team. 13x nba first team 4x championships 4x finals mvp 1200+ straight games of 10 points. First player to pass 6/7/8000 playoff points. 20. TWENTY. Straight seasons of averaging 20ppg. That’s just a handful. Your arguments of “someone who showed up every day”, “played better than everyone” “made everyone better” is LeBron. You need a team and a front office. James had that in his prime @ Miami and he’s come out and stated the only reason he left Cleveland was because they were giving him role players he turned into talent. Again, I’m a Jordan fan. He’s #1 in my book but in no way shape or form is comparing him to Lebron instead of MJ a situation that should be one or the other. That’s like Montana is better than Brady because he won all his Superbowls… You don’t have the records and stats Lebron has by “whining” dude. Come on. A focused competitor is a guy who smashes records. Be it with one team or 3. LeBron comparison is as much a compliment as MJ. Very simple.
