Yeah, I can see that. That example I made that due to the difference of what they’re doing on the floor in terms of position. One guy is giving you an absurd offensive output and the other is a game changer but only by volume.

Love really does make us go blind!!! Do the level headed fans find it weird that the rest chastise and bemoan Romo on his career there? I always found that bizarre given his journey to the pros. He wasn’t the greatest by all means but definitely a quality QB. Can’t disagree that they tripped up too many times in the playoffs though, sucks for them. Not every one else lol. Not a huge fan of Dak but they can certainly do worse. Like you pointed out, for him a sustainable and successful running game is key. In a lot of ways he’s similar to Goff in terms of guys in the league right now; at his absolute best when you’re able to run play action. What’s the consensus there for Parsons? Is he staying? Do they regret the contracts being dished out the way they had, with him potentially last if so?

Set up reservations at Applebee’s, call Marshawn and have him and Maxx have a sit down. If Lynch and the ambience can’t persuade him that Carroll can’t be trusted, nothing else will!

HE ATE THE SUPER MAX!!! Would say it’s more in line with trading Josh for what everyone is asking for; Garrett/Crosby
-
It shouldn’t take the trade to make him more willing to maintain his weight and conditioning but if you’re looking at it, whether you like Lebron or not, there isn’t a better person to be under the wing of. There’s a reason he’s played 20+ seasons at a high level and his performance last night @ MSG is another testament to that. Hopefully for Luka he takes a serious self evaluation as to why the Mavs moved him. It helps the league as the Lakers ratings are otherworldly with a Superstar but it should also help him. Unless they win championship/s I don’t see Luka staying there after the deal he signs unless he’s given team decisions as part of his position.

Two of my favorite players in the league are from Europe; Luka & Giannis. Dallas had to feel he wasn’t committed to them in the bigger picture which I do and do not understand for as you perfectly stated, the issue he has is laziness. Not so much the basketball standpoint but rather what it takes to be available for your team. The best thing a player has in any sport is availability. Luka’s weight is a serious concern and mainly the reason he’s missed games. The reports are the dude “ballooned to 270lbs”. Like WTF LOL They didn’t want to tie to money to a guy at such an important position for them which is weird in itself as you could add clauses to the super max deal. On the flip side, they got AD who’s a decent perimeter shooter, can space the floor for the guys down low and Kyrie. Their offense wasn’t the most efficient and their 2 best players are at their best penetrating the paint which effectively removes the guys inside. With just Kyrie that should be a bit more fluid basketball you’ll see. On top of that, they aren’t tied to signing him to the max deal he’s entitled to if they don’t want to. Big picture, AD has his injury history also but he’s actually not as bad as it seems. A lot of it is more precautionary rest on a tweak or a strain, he’s been one of the better available big men in the league over the last few years. All in all, very strange trade.

The AJ deal isn’t horrible. Isn’t great either seeing as you let Floyd walk out the door. Id bet both moves are in serious contention.

He’s played both sides Ed. They move him wherever they feel the best matchup is. I’ve never seen him exclusively on the left or right end of the defenses he’s played in.

FINAL v3.0 now LIVE on p.15 - Gunner's 2025 Mock Draft

As of right now, they better sprint to the podium if he’s @ 30. He was dominant in college. -
FINAL v3.0 now LIVE on p.15 - Gunner's 2025 Mock Draft
Sojourner replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
As Gunner pointed out, this draft isn’t great for QBs and neither is Sanders imo. He’s a decent player but serious questions whether his game can be at a high level in the pros. Especially for a guy you need to turn around a franchise. His awareness is terrible at times and when you couple that with average arm strength, poor decision making and poor anticipation on throws, I wonder if he will even work. Not saying he won’t but he has a huge uphill battle to get things right. The Sanders name and the spotlight he brought to Colorado moved him to the conversation. He’s as much of a project as the other guys after Cam Ward. In essence, you’re buying the name and hoping he’s like his father and shines in the biggest moment. Don’t see it personally but for whoever drafts him, I hope myself and the many others who see it that way are wrong. -
I can tell by a lot of your posts that you have a tenured experience in watching the sport. The fact that you’re suggesting a team not to allow their opponent to score more than twice a game is insane. Especially in today’s NFL. Even for the lowly teams you see eliminated from post season come week 10, they’re going to get points here or there. Sorry and I say this respectively as every opinion has value but that is an awful take and perspective than you what call out or quote people on for the issues of this team. “Get stops!” ”Get turnovers!” “Not like that… the other way!”

I saw a report last year before the finals talking about how removing Mark Cuban from the basketball operations role he had was good for the future. Absolutely insane trade. There’s no way he signs off on the back room handshake between the clubs. Sure they got some value in Davis but to not even have him up for offer is unbelievable. They would have gotten an absolute haul from countless teams for Luka. Whether LeBron chooses to admit it, he had a hand in it. So did Luka. Absolutely no way they allow that to unfold without players knowing. Lakers got the better end of the deal imo. Global superstar, insurance for when Bron leaves without risking anything other than another player on a super max deal. Their future is set. Only way it works out for the Mavs is if they get back to the conference or NBA finals. I understand the portion of getting rid of Luka from a simple basketball perspective; the guy is a liability on defense and has shown to be an absolute hot head when it counts. His ejection in game 3 of the finals pretty much out the nail in the coffin of that series. They would have likely been 2-1 and had a chance to take home court if game 4 panned out the way it did with a Mavs win. Different series at 2-2. Luka, if he lost weight and stayed at prime strength and conditioning could be otherworldly. Some of the best fundamentals I’ve seen for a ball handler in 30 years of watching basketball and the NBA. I’m sure that played a huge part of their willingness to move on.

Prior to the playoffs I could get behind that. After his effort in the AFCC, that’s a slap in the face to what he did. Bigger picture though, if it were to land the unlikely shark of Crosby/Garrett, go for it. It would be more of a game changer.
-
Oh for real? Thanks for that. always heard he was a Jets fan even though if he grew up in that area. Makes sense even more as to him sprinting to sign with them lol
-
Yeah, he respecified the criteria that wasn’t included initially. Thank you for the clarification though, made more sense why it was just 2. But by that standard Reid should be omitted to just the 5+ seasons as he had Alex Smith to start his tenure? The Monday morning clip I saw was disgusting that someone takes that much elation in being wrong but also right. Strange dude lol

Gonzo Mock Draft Version 3.0 Final Version( Starts on Page 7)
Sojourner replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
Depends who’s there to be honest. There is a lot of quality on the interior DTs so it’ll be interesting to see who goes in the first round outside of the Michigan boys (Graham/Grant). I’d actually like to see them double dip in the draft at line, edge and tackle. It’s not ideal given the history of what we’ve drafted and invested but it is the essential fix to get Sean’s defense playing at a higher level. It also should improve the other guys we have in Groot/AJ/Ed as well as the secondary. The Elam pick is probably going to put a lot of people off them going CB, and rightly so, but it shouldn’t be out of the picture. I’m not the biggest fan of Benford but he is a great player and one that might end up pricing himself out of Buffalo. Some foresight to address that would be nice but @ 30 there’s only a couple of guys worth it. Revel, Amos and Thomas. If Thomas tests well and he passes the Commanders going by Gonzo’s draft, I wouldn’t be opposed as I think he’s a quality player. Definitley above where most draft boards have him for the 2nd to 3rd. (First round like Gonzo is where I think he ends up with good testing) Preferably they go DT as it probably remedies a lot more problems we have if they get it right. Then go corner with a later pick if inclined. LSU’s Alexander could be a guy to watch bounce around the board. The measurables are there and he played wel against top opponents. Tee Higgins is interesting to me, great player but he’s played alongside a pretty decent WR so there’s some questions on the table. He’s also one of the few talents in that FA market and might end up like Ridley last year where he priced himself to teams absolute desperate for and to pay a WR. Speed is needed and the ones who test well we could have a chance at nabbing with one of our 2 seconds. Stanford’s Ayomanor & Texas’ Isaiah Bond are ones to watch. Bigger guys who game field stretching speed. Production is there last season too. I also think Bond could have had a more impressive season of Ewers focused on getting him the ball, though forcing the issue is never ideal. All in all, I agree 100% with you. This is an off-season we need to knock it out of the park in the draft with whichever route they take. -

So, second rounder? Lol In all seriousness, i don’t think Barkley would have come here. 1) the money 2) if it’s between us and the Eagles, the team he can run salt into the wound of 2x a year was too palpable for any competitor that believes in themself.

Love the positivity. It’s insane that we went from a rebuild year, to fire and cut everyone, to we are on the upswing, to we are the best to our team except Josh, our OTs and Cook suck again. We had a great season and should be proud of it. Super Bowl or bust this year. If not, let the heads roll! You know, that’s probably what bothers me the most about that game… The offense was weird on a lot of plays. No pivoting from their standard go to. You’re playing the best of the best in the playoffs. Execution has to be perfect. Brady was a damn fine OC but a lot of the failings go on his shoulders for some of those calls. People give him a pass but the guy was on his way to possibly being a HC until he closed the door, hopefully he’s learned.
