  1. Question is, can he handle Diggs target load? Not likely. Diggs is a do it all type WR in terms of the route tree. I don't see DK as that guy. And does he have the endurance? He's a massive dude. That said, I would be all for bringing in DK, even if it cost us a similar package that brought Diggs here. It's a bit of a gamble because he does only have that one great season but one could argue that was the last season Wilson was good and so the last season DK had an elite QB. Some of the tangibles are certainly still there with him. If we brought him in and he ended up being basically Davis but on a higher level, I think I would be fine with that. I think the team is wanting to go in a direction of spreading the ball around more and not having that one guy that needs to get over 140 targets every year.
  2. Because they can get multiple picks for him and there is a chance he is Gave Davis with the exception of one great season that Gabe never had.
  3. He is somewhat living off of his 2020 season still, which was close to elite. But his yards per target over the last 4 years is actually higher than Diggs 4 years here in Buffalo.
  4. Ours season will hinge far more on our overall defense and some of the big changes in the secondary rather than the loss of a soon to be 31 year old WR who has produced next to nothing in the back half of each of the last two seasons, including no showing nearly every playoff game. As long as we have JA, Bills Super Bowl window will always be open. We just need the defense to actually hold an opponent to 20-24 points for once in the divisional/championship round. Not likely to make the Super Bowl if your defense is giving up 27+ points every time you reach the divisional round.
  5. There are so many good WR prospects in this draft, it's hard to get behind a trade into the top 10 and what it would cost in draft capital. That said, I am 100% expecting a trade up but it will be somewhere in the 20-26 range. Beane will want to secure his guy.
  6. Allen >>> Burrow in the playoffs and it’s not even close. If the Bills defense played like the Bengals and Chiefs defense in the postseason the Bills would have multiple Super Bowl appearances and at least one Lombardi since 2020.
  7. I’d love to see this. Although I would set some ground rules and keep the punter as there are certain times you just got to punt.
  8. Often not mentioned, but given the Bengals total domination of the Bills these last two seasons, I highly doubt the Bills beat them in the championship game the next week. We would have lost that one just like the Chiefs did.
  9. The defense will have to adjust once the ball touches the ground or the returner fields the kick. I would think you would see several coverage guys either drop back a few yards are perhaps more likely stay where they are rather than be part of the initial pursuit. That way the defense sets up multiple layers.
  10. Not entirely. Watkins was not ruined by a bad QB. He would have bust whether he played with EJ, Tyrod or Mahomes. In fact, I think his best year was with Tyrod despite having played with Mahomes. If Watkins was as advertised, he would have still been on the team Allen’s first few seasons in the league and having a positive impact on his development as young QB, regardless of EJ busting.
  11. Sammy seemed like a can’t miss prospect at the position and look at how that turned out. 28 to 17 or 18 for our 2025 1st rounder just feels like too much to give up regardless of what the trade chart says.
  12. my point is that I would expect increased production out of both Shakir and Kincaid over any free agent signings. Our own in house draft picks is where we should at first expect Davis stats to go to. Some will go to Samuel.
  13. Serious question. Just how many do you expect to improve? Diggs and Beasely improved greatly. Brown had one of his best seasons. That's 3. Is there a problem that the number is only 3? I mean Diggs has been one of the best wr's in the league the last 4 seasons on average. Beasley was an all-pro. There's not going to be a ton of opportunity for other pass catchers when you had those two plus home grown Gabe Davis taking the lions share of the targets. Crowder, Sherfield, Sanders and Harty did not have career seasons. I'm not sure there is anything wrong with that given the target shares that Diggs, Beasley and Davis and throw in a rookie first round draft pick in Kincaid took away from those four players. Nothing wrong with 3 at all IMO.
  14. I also would not have wagered a grand on 15 rushing TD's though either. Doesn't really matter how we score points. Just that we score. Bills continue to score at a high rate. To counter the ppg under Brady, offensive scoring was up in the two post season games. 27.5 ppg vs. 26.5 on the regular season total and significantly greater than the 20ppg in the final three regular season games. Brady also took over in the second half of the season when the weather is not typically as conducive to higher scoring games. Although, less than a factor this past season with late season road games in Miami and LA. Bills still faced tough Chief and Patriot defenses in December.
  15. I find it hard to believe Allen goes from 37 to 36 to 35 to 29 and then 25 passing TD's. This for a QB who has four straight seasons of 40+ total TD's. The Bills offense is still moving the ball (4th in total yards) and scoring too (6th in points). They had 451 points scored. Only a slight dip from '22 and '21 at 455 and 483 points scored. If the Bills are still moving the ball someone is going to be scoring. It was likely an anomaly that Allen had 15 rushing TD's this last year. Expect a return to less than 10 rushing TD's and more than 30 passing TD's.
  16. And someone will. Going by your logic we should expect Allen to have his lowest passing TD total since 2019. I don't think that is how it works. The TD's will go to someone else. Not necessarily one player in general. But I find it hard to think he will throw significantly fewer than the 29 he threw last year. Last years 29 TD passes was certainly the anomaly to the three previous seasons with 37, 36 and 35 TD passes. Using your logic we should expect Allen's passing TD's to take another big dip down to about 24 or 25 on the season. That is not a bet I would want to make.
  17. Drake London and Caleb did not play together at USC actually.
  18. Got to get the 1 seed and match up with a Houston or Jacksonville at home. Not KC or Cincy in the divisional round. It's hard enough to make it to the Super Bowl going through just one of those teams. Bills have had the two seed 3 out of the last 4 postseasons? KC has only had the one seed in two out of the last four i believe. But other teams keep getting the 1 seed over the Bills due to just inexplicable head scratching losses in the regular season.
  19. Yep and on top of all of that, factor in trading a first round pick for Diggs in 2020, they actually have invested a top pick at WR. They have invested first round picks on pass catchers in two out of the last four drafts. If they do it again this draft it will be 3 out of the last 5. Also, I think the immediate positive impact that Brown and Beasley gave the Bills as cheaper veteran free agent pick ups at the position got Beane thinking he could find cheap veteran WR's to replace them. Neither Sanders or Crowder hit like either of Brown or Beasley. And I am sure like many of us he was somewhat fooled by Davis who we all thought would become more than what he was. I continue to maintain that what failed the Bills offensive strategy was their selection of RB's on day 2 in three out of four drafts starting in 2019 with Singletary, then Moss in 2020 and Cook in 2022. Should have at most drafted one in a four year span, not three.
  20. Other. Fake slide with a truck and then hurdle.
  21. On the surface I feel the same. But we've extended two out of our four day 1 and 2 picks on the D-line. And might extend a third in Rousseau. We seem to be doubling down on the D-line investments we have made. Unless I am forgetting someone, the only one that was a draft day flop for us was Basham. I would also say, the D has been good to great in the regular season. And they have even had some nice moments in the postseason. The problem is they have been consistently horrendous against divisional round opponents. It's about getting the defense to play well against the best competition. That's how teams get to the Super Bowl. You don't make it to the Super Bowl winning shootouts. That might work one year if you get lucky but more often than not you have to be able to keep a team to 24 or less points.
  22. This tells me the Eagles are far from believers in Hurts. And based on how he finished last season and his injury history, they are probably right to not be big believers in him.
  23. that’s exactly why I said it would be a last-minute trade. They gotta know who’s gonna be available at five.
