why trade 3 picks for the top pick when we don't need a QB? I'd try to trade back from 9 and get another 2nd round pick and try to use three top 64 picks to fill 3 holes. Not pick one guy and lose 3 chances to fill holes. We need to improve the OG position, we need to get a WLB and LB depth, a big play TE would be nice a big WR would help. I rather be able to address 3 of those this year than get the #1 pick.

Hey can we recycle some other old coaches here too? here's an idea, let's give this coaching a staff a chance to develop and get better. They were doing this for the first time and maybe they can learn from mistakes this year and we'll get better. Hey, staying the course might not be a bad idea for once.

I really liked Aaron Murray. He's injured but that could be perfect. Pick him late and bury him on IR for a year and then you have a guy ready to challenge for the job if EJ struggles after year two and it avoids a QB controversy . He's a 2nd/ 3rd guy anyhow, why not take a flyer in round 5/6.

every mock draft I have seen has Blake going in the top 5, many in the top 3. I seriously doubt we'd even have the option at #9. But no is your answer, I would not.

No, I don't think so. I just feel that he has a great combination of skills and attitude. I love his maturity and how he handles himself. I also think that too many "fans" think all rookies should just jump in the league and get it done. He has played well in spurts but also look poor in spurts, how is that beyond the expectations? The kid wants to be the guy who helps take this franchise back to glory, I want a guy like that. Does EJ have flaws, yes, his accuracy is not where it needs to be and I think the game is still moving too fast for him. However, it will slow down with more reps. The concerns is inability to stay healthy but I see no reason to panic and jump right back into the draft and grab another QB. I like the teams 1-2 combination with Manuel and Lewis, though having a veteran around to help them wouldn't hurt. Next year don't go into the season with three young, unproven QB's on the roster. and the undrafted rookie committed a massive mistake that coast us that game as well. The pick-6 when we were going to score meant a 10 point turn-around minimum. We didn't see that from EJ.

if you had an 18 game schedule the 8x4 could work. 7x2 vs own division 1x2 vs other division within conference (1and 2 vs 1 and 2), 3 and 4 vs 3 and 4, etc.) 1x2 vs other conference It's not perfect but it does work one thing is for sure, you would rarely see teams from the other conference in Buffalo! Like once every 16 years rare!

How would scheduling work with that arrangement? 7x2 = 14 and then what, two none conference games? You can't re-arrange the conferences without figuring out how scheduling works. I think the networks would get upset with this idea. TV networks would need to be involved. How exactly do we have Cleveland and Detroit in a west division.

I agree but he has got to put in big time work this off season. Thad Lewis makes quicker decisions and he's willing to try to go down the field EJ has to do that more often and he needs to get his foot work right. LOng term though we seem to have a good one/two combination. Why sign a veteran backup when we can develop the two young guys.
