  1. I like the outcome of rt and TE in the first 2 rounds.
  2. Holy crap! Look who the cat dragged in!Cheers old-timer
  3. I like the idea of taking OT first, otherwise they will reach to get one. While I'd love to have Robinson, I'm ok with either of Lewan/Mathews. I think I'd rather see TE in r2, either asj or niklas. Solidifying the Oline with a stud tackle and adding a TE who can block and catch is just what EJ and the offense needs.
  4. I wanted to resurrect this thread because it's an interesting example of how rankings/ratings change the months leading to the draft. When I started it, Lewan was mostly viewed as a mid r1 pick, and he is now, mostly, viewed as a top 10 talent. I asked the question back in February because it was clear that Mathews and Robinson would not be available at 9. Things have changed, I'm sure much of it is due to lewan's stellar performance at the combine. Kiper now has him at 5, ahead of Mathews. I've read the raiders like him a lot, and also have him as their second rated OT. It's quite possible that Mathews will now be there instead of Lewan, though McShay now has lewan going to the bills at 9. Thank god all of this speculation will be over soon...
  5. Well, 3 months have passed and it's interesting how things change. Fwiw, Kiper has Lewan #5 on his big board, ahead of Mathews. Bills never brought Lewan in, so doubtful they'd pick him even if there. On the other hand, maybe Mathews might be there...
  6. From an article off of GR:
  7. I can dream....visions of him pan caking Richardson as CJ blows by for a TD...
  8. If Robinson makes it passed The first 4 picks, I would not be disappointed if they traded up for him. Blasphemy, I know...
  9. I thought about Evans, but my point is 100% certainty, and I don't know if that's the case with him--or Manziel for that matter?
  10. there is so much uncertainty on how this draft will play out, mainly due to QB needs and just how good or not the first 3-4 are? The only certainty is that clowney, Robinson, Mack, Watkins, and Mathews will go in the top 10 picks, but where is anyone's guess...
  11. we did st Stan's too, and was very fun. We always end up at polish cadets on grant st because there's no crowd.
  12. He would be a good target at 26 in my trade back with browns scenario.
  13. It gets bigger every year. In fact, we both agreed this was probably our last because it's losing its charm--very difficult to get into some of the venues.
  14. Manziel = Oakland Clowney = Atlanta Bortles = Vikes Mack = Houston Evans = Buffalo
  15. Recovering from the Dyngus hangover. I have to say it's a very entertaining festival. Thousands of people takeover that part of the east side for an evening with Them Idiots rocking the polka. As one of our crew described it, "it's St. Patrick's Day without someone puking on your feet."
  16. It's the wife's favorite party, so I'll have my polka shoes on for Them Idiots.
  17. I've posted elsewhere this possibility: Cleveland picks Watkins at 4, then trades the 26, 35, 83 to bills for 9 and 109 to get their QB at 9.That gives the bills 26, 35, and 41 to meet their serious needs, and 2 thirds to fill in anything else.
  18. OT in R1 then Niklas in R2. The Bills need a TE who can block and provide a little better receiving option than Chandler. Currently, they have Smith as a blocking TE, Chandler as a weak blocking decent outlet TE, Gragg as the speed mismatch, and Moeaki as the "how many games will he play before injured" TE. Niklas is the type of TE they need--excellent blocker and (very likely) better outlet option than Chandler.
  19. I think the more important question is can you count on him making it through the season? His history says no. Re-signing Chandler and improvement by Gragg give the Bills a decent couple options; however, I'm with the "draft Niklas in R2" camp as an upgrade.
  20. He didn't suffer enough...
  21. Ngata. Oh, wait, we picked whitner that year...
  22. I'm starting to think the best option is a trade down with the Browns (who would do so to get their QB after taking one of the elite players at 4). The Browns would give the Bills picks 26, 35, and 83 in exchange for the the Bills 9 and 109 (both of these come out at 1425 on the trade value chart). This would give the Bills picks 26, 35, and 41, as well as 73 and 83 in R3. With those first 3 picks they could address OT, TE, and any other position.
  23. I watched that Ohio State game on TV, and if I knew then what I know now, probably not...
  24. I meant no disrespect to farmers or Hindus...
  25. In his latest... http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft2014/story/_/id/10601364/2014-nfl-draft-khalil-mack-goes-no-1-mel-kiper-mock-draft-30
