  1. I'm liking the match up; similar to Chicago, but SD is not as balanced. Assuming Dareus is healthy, he will have to win his one-on-one battle. No way they leave chad Reinhart alone with KW.
  2. That's the average rush yardage given up this year vs last year after two games. Yes, it's only two games, but there is no doubt a difference in the run D this year. So far, Schwartz is achieving his goals of stopping the run and minimizing points. Good test coming up.
  3. the unit deserves props. There was a hole that CJ simply had to waltz through. Great shot of it on BB.com
  4. maybe it's Goodwin time too if they are going to play off the WRs?
  5. that's good, but the next line is the best IMO. I know, it doesn't count...She'll tell you she's an orphan after you meet her family.
  6. Well, the actual data is positive on the deficit.... http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-09-11/u-s-budget-deficit-for-11-months-shrinks-22-as-economy-grows.html As I've said would happen, deficits are down to sustainable levels, as the deficit/GDP ratio is <3%. The sky is still up there.... No sign of the (hyper) inflation bogeyman either...
  7. it wasn't worth more than a skim...
  8. There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold...
  9. If, as I expect, the bills have a winning record, then they better keep the entire staff, including coaches. I for one think the trashing of Hackett, and by extension Marrone, has been stupid. It's amazing what winning does to make play calling look good. The bills did not lose games due to play calling last year, they lost because they started three green QBs, had no depth at CB, played lousy STs, and couldn't stop the run. The play calling in Chicago was essentially no different than it's been. The bills won because of stopping the run, great STs, and depth at CB. If EJ can hit the deep ball opportunities that are set up by hackett's conservative-looking play calling, the bills will win a lot of games, and the coaching staff should keep their jobs.
  10. We're going to see 2 teams that are mirror images of each other. Miami will focus on running the ball in a hostile environment, and it will be the first true test for the Bills' run D (since Chicago relied on the pass). Home field gives the Bills the edge. EJ will have an opportunity or two to go deep, and he must hit these. If he does, the Bills win by 10 (27-17); if he doesn't, they get lucky and pull another one out (20-17--can go either way...).
  11. Hmmm...sounds like Tom Brady Sucked, which meets his definition of when he will retire...
  12. 11 YPC? Yahoo tells me 4.8.
  13. i was just thinking something similar, wondering if his game plan will change significantly with a home game and what looks like a good running attack? Then there's SD @home the following weekGuess we will find out soon enough.
  14. Great minds... My Schwartz v Pettine post is essentially saying the same thing. The only stats that matter, allow fewer points than your own.
  15. While pettine's D was very entertaining, and I doubt that this year's D will have as many sacks, I'll take the run stopping and point total (with a big W) any day. Granted, it's only week one, but I like that start. A good test with mareno this week. Spikes was everything advertised. The added CB depth was very much needed. Only one long run given up. TOs when needed. Kyle tied for team lead on INTs.... :-) Go Bills!
  16. that speaks to the person he is, and not so much the journalist he is. But you are correct.
  17. it's exactly as the News hinted at, MG is a little burned out after 23 years, especially now that football knows no season. It's 365 days/year now. Couldn't ask for a better replacement with VC too.
  18. F. The guy can't stop everyone on every play, so he's not a shut down corner. He sucked last year when he had the advantage of using his club hand. Dump him.
  19. Unfortunately I think that he might be regressing this year because they have him focusing so much on the details of mechanics instead of just playing football...
  20. I like your style Dude.
  21. Shades of 2011, after a poor offensive showing in the preseason, the bills thrashed KC on the road 41-7. Bills 34 - 13
  22. Since the writers at the BNews had their predictions in this mornings' paper, here are mine: AFCE Patriots (adding Revis and a healthy Gronk make them tough to beat) AFCN Bengals (tough division and they tough it out again) AFCC Houston (Fitz steadies the ship at QB and D wins a lot of games) AFCW Broncos (manning's last hurrah) Wild cards: Colts and then it's a up in the air for the last spot. Chargers have a tough schedule, so I think it's going to be between the Steelers, Jets and Bills. I'll be homer and say Bills end their drought. NFCE Giants (they won't start 0-6 this year) NFCN Lions (this team is finally ready to make their move) NFCS Saints (lookout Seahawks) NFCW Seahawks repeat Wild cards: Packers and 49ers (panthers or Bucs could get in over the Pack) Super Bowl: if the Saints can secure home field, then they will dethrone the Hawks and go on to beat the Pats. Alternative scenario, Bills beat the Saints. :-)
  23. Maintains the titans' lock on #1, fastest team in the nfl.
