Thanks, I was hoping someone would provide the meat of the interview. As I said earlier, if no other moves are made outside of the draft, CK's development will be the key to the line this year.
Interesting Rex mentions the possibility of moving Glenn to LG. If CK really does turn it up this year, that would solve a lot of problems.
Henderson, Glenn, Woods, InC, CK
yeah, I know, Glenn won't like it going into his FA year....
He also mentioned Taylor, said he's probably the fastest QB in the league; then something about the read option...
I'm sure they are going to have sub-packages designed for just for him.
I'll keep beating the CK drum. He has first round talent. He came in thinking his talent would get him by; it didn't. He knows he has to work on technique because everyone has talent at this level. He's working on it. That said, he now has to prove it.
Thanks for the heads up on that.
No one knows if CK will become a solid RT (or OL starter in general), but I do think that it is stupid to judge him based on last year. A 21-year old kid, who used his talent to dominate in college, got a wake-up call, and he's taking up the challenge. We'll have a better sense of what he's capable of this season, especially since he will be the ripe old age of 22 when training camp starts.
I've stated in other posts that I thought CK was much better than people thought, especially those calling him a bust already. I think he is very talented and that's how he got by in college, but talent alone doesn't work in the pros. Now that he is working on his craft, we shall see. I think he is key to the belief in a significant jump in the O-line's performance.
Cyril i am less sure about. I don't know if he's nimble enough, but he is a road grader....
my definition of biggest leap means they will have the biggest change in the W column. If they go 8-8, that's a 4-game change.
I think the Pats will go 11-5 (-1 W)
Bills will win 10-11 games (+1-2 W)
Fins at best win 9, ( +1 or no change at 8Ws)
Jets 7-8 wins (+3-4)
No revision, I understand his limitations. he is good enough to keep them in games now that they've fixed their CB situation. A top 5 defense without a bona Fide QB. Sounds familiar...
Are you kidding?Who were their corners last year? Yet, they were the #6 defense in yards allowed.
Fitzpatrick over geno any day. Look out! They are going to compete.
Defending Super Bowl champs.
Bills, Jets, and Dolphins all making moves to close the gap.
This year is going to be the most competitive in recent memory.
Personally, I think the Jets have made the biggest jump so far, though they were also the farthest back.
