  1. Thanks for finding and posting that. I hope it is now tyrod's time!
  2. Where exactly in that article does it expose a "leftist agenda"? I'm also having difficulty finding where "this guy explains the gay marriage paper factually"? According to the link, the article was not so much about gay marriage, rather how direct interactions with people can change opinions. I'm with you on the fact stats can be massaged by the researcher, and the bias could be explicit or implicit, but I'm having difficulty finding 2+2 = leftist agendas?
  3. Agreed. Between better coaching, scheme, Oline, and skill position players, there is no way this offense doesn't make a leap in scoring average over the past two years (which was about 21 ppg), regardless of who the QB is this year. It's about to be on.
  4. Good job Gunner. A couple differences. One, I think the only way Thompson is not on this team is if they end up trading him, which I doubt. I think one of Goodwin or Hogan is the loser in this scenario. Two, I think one of Brown and Boobie are gone at RB, but I'm not so sure it's Brown. Speed over brawn in this case, despite Brown's rep as a fumbler. Three, I think Carrington stays over one of either IK or Randell J. Four, I agree about Brooks, his job is tenuous, and now that Cockerel is back, he's got two preseason games to show he belongs, and I'm pulling for him over Brooks. Five, I know you were going off of the current roster, but I think they find someone on the waiver wire for the 8th OL spot.
  5. Tolzien 2 years in a row. I propose we trade for him...
  6. EJ needs to play the entire game with the same intensity he has on a 4th quarter game-winning drive.
  7. Thanks, I had that same thought Re #5, though I thought blitzing would help the O-lines just as much as the QBs et al.
  8. B-News article states we've experienced 63 months in a row of job growth Good news for many of the PPPers here, over the past 12 months private sector jobs have led the way, as government jobs actually declined. 63 months
  9. This blurb on the Bills' site is interesting, Rex throwing things at his D to see how they react in pre-season. I like it. Mind Games
  10. Some six months ago Jerry Hughes said he was going to test the FA market. Ahhh...negotiations....
  11. Re the blitzing, a while back Dennis Thurman said something like they will show enough in the pre-season to make teams prepare for everything, so it could've been a bit of that? Blitzing by both teams also had me wondering if Rex and mike had a little "deal" going to help prep each other's O-line? I guess the next two games will provide answers.
  12. He hedges with this, "Add Ryan's playbook to this group, and third might be too low a ranking for the 2015 season."
  13. These guys are professionals, the timing should've been down in mini camp (hit sarcasm button please)...
  14. They say it usually takes 3 years to judge a draft, but 2013 is looking like it could be one of the best all-around drafts in history. Whaley brought his guys in after he was named GM shortly after the 2012 draft, in which they drafted EJ. I think the best way to judge Whaley is on the last 2 drafts, which he and HIS team directed. The team of Whaley, Monos, and Fisher are building a powerhouse.
  15. The other aspect of this article, this team can compete for a championship. It is very similar to what ryan had in his first 2 years with the jets--a top tier D and a mediocre QB. The main differences are 1) more offensive talent overall, 2) the O-line probably won't be as good, and 3) better O-coordinator. It's going to be a good year.
  16. It took 6 months from Wilson's death to the sale. If Ralph had died toward the end of 2014, then I doubt very much that Marrone would've bailed out if new ownership took over right around the draft. That would make him look even dumber, if that's possible...
  17. Fate. If Ralph hangs on for another 6 months, the sale of the team occurs too late for marrone to opt out this year.
  18. Hughes will finally make the Pro Bowl this year.
  19. I think it would actually be a setback for the offense if Cassel wins the job, since he can't really run the read option. With EJ or TT, the play book is expanded for Roman. With his speed, TT would be my optimal choice.
  20. My retirement plan was Ecuador, but then I re-married... Another beautiful and diverse country, and they adopted the US$ as their currency. Almost bought a beach-front condo for $35K, but the family decided to keep it. SA is great travelling and cheap. Loved Peru, and Cuzco/MP. Been to Arequipa? I really liked that city. If not the beach, an ideal place to retire would be Mendoza, but I'd probably Malbec myself to death.
  21. The difference in those teams and the Bills, they had true NTs in Sam Adams and the Fridge.
  22. Given the new weapons and better scheme, generating another 48 points on the season is not unreasonable. Better coaching and some additions made a huge improvement on D last year, and I fully expect a good jump with the O. Of the 8 teams that made the divisional championships, the 4 teams in the AFC were the top 4 teams in point differential: Pats = 9.6 Den = 8 Balt = 6.7 Colts = 5.5 In the NFC, 3 of 4 had the top point differentials, and the 4th, CAR, had a -2, and beat QB-less AZ (+1.3). SEA = 8.7 GBP = 8.6 DAL = 7.2 If the Bills can get to 24 on O and stay at 18 or lower on D, it's going to be a good season.
  23. More points per game, and it doesn't matter how they get'em. O: two years under Marrone = 21 ppg. Defense went from 24 ppg under Pettine to 18 under Schwartz, record went from 6-10 to 9-7. Offense needs to average 24 and D stays same or better = playoffs.
