A couple things to add. On Kauai, as recommended, a helicopter ride that shows you the Na Pali coast will be well worth it; however, I'd also recommend that you do the 2-mile hike into the first beach (Hanakapiai I believe), especially after you've seen it by air. Once there, you can hike another mile or so up the river to the waterfall, even take a dip in the pool there. On the Big Island, there aren't many beaches, but a really nice one is Hapuna, about 30 minutes north of the airport. I'd also recommend driving to the north shore, going all the way until the road ends--it's a very rustic area, unlike touristy Kona. You can take a little hike down to the beach there as well. Kealakekua Bay is nice visit about 30 minutes south of Kona, and it's where Captain Cook first landed and also was killed (there's a white monument on one end of the bay accessible by boat tour). You should also go to the City of Refuge near there (read up on what it is, interesting stuff). There's a nice restaurant Ray's at the Keahou Sheraton (I believe), and it's name comes from the fact schools of Manta rays feed at night just off the cliffs where the restaurant is located. You can do a boat tour out of Kona for this as well. Dining options in Kona: my favorite place is "Quinn's almost by the sea." It looks like a dive bar, but has a nice patio in the back, and they buy their fish straight from the boats for the evening's specials. The Brew Pub in Kona is a nice place for a bite too, but it's in an industrial park. Definitely have a cocktail at the Kona Inn and watch the sun set--it's a great setting. If you want a real taste of "local food," try Teshima's about 15-20 minutes south of Kona along the highway. If you're staying in a condo with a kitchen, you can buy fresh ahi at almost any supermarket. Enjoy.

When the rumors about Cromartie meeting with the Bills came out, I figured this might happen. If it's a swap for Cro, pushed by Rex, then they better get a good deal. I thought a discounted Leo would be the best choice for the #3 CB. We'll see.
-
Yes, I was counting him in based on that. They really only need someone to replace Brooks at this point..
-
Hopefully Leo is next. Keep Rambo and the secondary is pretty much set.

Maybe you misunderstand the warning? When you use the plane, the air born particles eventually make their way to California, causing cancer for some poor legal immigrant's child... -

This was discussed some time ago. Yes, they did buy up the debt at a good discount, then sued Argentina in a NY court... -
Bills "frustrated" with Incognito contract demands*SIGNED*

Yes, let someone else overpay for a guard, and bring in one of those you mention for a reasonable value. I'd go for Boone since he's got history with Roman. -
Is The USA Moving Left?
TPS replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Depends on what you actually mean. If you're insinuating they are collecting government handouts, then you are probably wrong. If you are insinuating they "work" in the underground economy, then you are probably right. -

So you took a drive-by scientific survey? -
Totally agree. They did what they needed to do last year. Other than QB, TE and G were their biggest needs--and they filled them. Shady and Harvin fell into their lap, and Whaley took care of business. The problem was the reversal on D, which now creates a problem of needing too many pieces in the draft, especially if they have issues signing their own UFAs/ RFAs.

Hillary, would ya?

Vic C's BN piece--really rips Rex as defensive coach
TPS replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As one who wanted Schwartz as HC, I'm surprised anyone would believe the 2 could be compatible. VC's article is simply stoking the Rex resentment. That said, and As one who posted before the season that I was skeptical that RR could improve on JS's D #s, I don't think anyone expected it to be as bad as it was. I still thought Rex would field a top 10 D. The players have no choice but to buy in this year, and malcontent Mario will be gone. Add a couple new pieces from the draft, and it's a put up or shut up year for the Ryans. -

A majority of Americans tend to be socially liberal and fiscally conservative, but apparently there is an increase in the former. http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/USA-Update/2015/0528/On-social-issues-Americans-are-more-liberal-than-ever-before.-What-s-behind-the-sudden-shift I won't be surprised to find a shift on economic values given the financial crisis, rising inequality, and a government that is plutocratic. -

He most certainly was. Supply-side economics is laffable. -

it is related to that which is referred to as workers' bargaining power. The main driver that reduced bargaining power was the first phase of deindustrialization as US manufacturing firms shifted work to Mexico, what's known as the maquiladora industry. i would've said "you're an idiot", but I'm not allowed to use that term here....😎

You miss the point entirely. Productivity increases allow firms to increase wages without increasing costs, and for the some 25+ years labor shared in those gains which helped create a vibrant middle class. By definition, increased productivity means producing more output per worker which occurs usually through technological progress (your microprocessors). That means firms can pay the remaining workers higher wages, but that stopped beginning in the mid-1970s, and the gains went to corporate profit. This is also when inequality began to rise.

as I recall, he wouldn't fire his buddy he hired to coach ST, the replacement for dehaven. Ralph wanted him fired, and wade wouldn't do it.

Coach Sal speculating Incognito about to sign a 2-year deal

I checked his Twitter, and it was a discussion with sal speculating what it would take to sign him. He was not reporting it as an imminent signing. -

I'm a little rusty. I was a little scarce around here last year. I chuckled as I re-read it. -
having been there last month, I can say, yes, that city stinks, literally.
-
no, deindustrialization started it--the loss of high wage jobs meant families needed two income earners to maintain living standards. Feminism was not the main driver.

of course he puts his slant, but the facts about the sec whistle blower are facts--they--the SEC-- destroyed docs. Some watch dog... i think his original point was "which one?" Gross margin? Net margin? Or a cash flow measure? There are a lot of options.
