  1. Getting closer. I’m glad we don’t need a separate roster spot for each alternative of the spelling. How hard is that?
  2. What if that team is the Bills. Trading Cook creates a hole that needs to be filled. We used a draft pick on a guy who was one of the top producers in the league last season. Not perfect, but pretty darn good. Why take the chance by going thin at RB with the hopes that the next guy we pick can be as good as the guy we just got rid of. Keep drafting and using up RB’s on rookie deals.
  3. Being desperate was never really my thing.
  4. Be careful. We were win now at all costs signing Von Miller. It’s great if it works (and it just may have had he not been injured), but it comes with risk. How many big swings do you want? Too many can sink the ship. Nobody is perfect, but I generally like Beane and McD. There! I said it! 😂
  5. I’m praying we are clever enough to find ways to mix and match and move these pieces to get guys open. Find the mismatches.
  6. We can only hope, especially if you have a knock off jersey from Indonesia.
  7. He falls in the “I don’t think he’ll settle for what we can afford” category. I was responding to the $$$$ post. I’m not arguing that he would be a great upgraded insurance policy if we could afford it.
  8. On a related note, the Steelers center gets mentioned more than once, and not in a flattering way. I have no idea who he is, UDFA or HOF, but I’m sure our fans would pick up on that.
  9. Curious to hear from you. Any impressions from his UB days?
  10. Yep, pretty obvious, it seems. Just because someone is on the market doesn’t mean they are a fit for us. People like to pine for names they know. They are not always the best fit for a variety of reasons.
  11. I love a feel good story, I just hope he’s more than a one game flash in a pan. Keep doing it, young man! Nobody is rooting for him more than me! I’m going back to watch a miserable preseason game with a dozen points scored just to watch him. Equally hard to spell, just sayin’.
  12. The flip side of him having a great game is he’s impossible to hide now. Somebody will give him a shot just based upon last night, so I don’t see the PS as a viable option. I hope he keeps it going and becomes one of those miracle dark horse stories you dream of….we could use some good luck.
  13. 1) My wife wanted to get me a new car, but I refused. My 10+ year old car is my “dog taxi” and it’s already dinged up with muddy back seats. I don’t want to have to worry about keeping it pristine. 2) He also wasn’t playing against the scrubs in the 4th quarter. He was playing against their 1’s and 2’s and making the calls. It’s certainly enough to make me very curious.
  14. There is no scoreboard, but there IS an injury report.
  15. Very McD thing to do. Let them line up, then don’t waste the opportunity to prepare for that.
  16. I don’t disagree, but can we finish the first half?
  17. First team to a safety WINS!
  18. What was Mitch thinking??? Seriously?
  19. Face it, your problems stem from that being ALL you were wearing, and it was a children’s medium.
  20. I just might need to wear my genuine souvenir Maid Of The Mist poncho if I tried one of those!
  21. Is it OK if we watch the games anyway?
  22. I have a friend who lost his sense of taste following treatment for throat cancer. He said it was absolute hell trying to consume enough calories on a regular basis. Fortunately, after a couple years he’s back to being somewhat normal. My Lebanese FIL lost his sense of taste after years of chemo. It was from him that I learned kibbi can be edible if you smother it in Texas Pete! (He passed away about 30 years ago, and as I was typing this a Whitney Houston song came on and my wife commented how he always had it playing in his hospital room - what are the odds?) Good luck to everybody!
  23. Sometimes I like to think outside the box. It doesn’t seem to be catching on.
  24. I see it as they are not quite as high on the Bills as they have been in previous years. We are still a top 5-7 team in most eyes, even in what could be a slightly down year. We have Josh, so I don’t think any reasonable people see our window as closed. I guess it’s a matter of perspective.
