Why not trade for a dependable kicker?
Augie replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, this is exactly the time that most NFL teams are looking to dispose of their good kickers. Could this be where AI helps us? 🤷♂️ -
Realistically, How many million $ do you really need?
Augie replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in Off the Wall
I’m sorry, but what is a half of a furry boy? Or should I not ask? If you don’t know…… -
So, do you have a whole lot of experience with that?

That is so true, and beautiful. Pro Tip: Do NOT adopt Mike Tyson. -

The average is three generations before they piss it all away I think. There are seriously studies on that. -

I can personally attest that happiness is far more important than money. My happiest working years were my very happiest years. The kids were great, we were just fine, etc. Thank God the wife was far more practical. -
After college I was working in a bank branch in Hilton Head, SC and a lady comes in with her daughter who is wearing a Bills shirt. I strike up a conversation asking if they are from Buffalo. It went like this: - Are you from Buffalo? - Yes, well right outside Buffalo around Williamsville. - Really? What part of Williamsville? - Well, not actually Williamsville, more like East Amherst. - What part of East Amherst? - Well, technically it’s Swormville. - What part of Swormville? - Ransom Oaks. - What street in Ransom Oaks? - Fiddlers Green. - Which house on Fiddlers Green? - The second one on the left. - Is that the red house and you had two Newfoundlands? At this point she starts looking strangely concerned so I explained that I lived in the third house on the left, with a patch of common space between us. You don’t forget those Newfies! I think the daughter was special needs and I’d always rush out to say hello when they came in. Good people, those folks from somewhere outside of Buffalo! I drove past our houses when I was home for the opener and I thought of that first encounter with her. You never expect it to zero in quite like that.

Two former Bills, among others. Tre is not the quickest to return to form following injury, but he’s had a couple horrible injuries with huge consequences for what a CB needs to do. I bet he keeps getting better, but at his age his best days are behind him. I loved the guy so wish him well when he’s not playing the Bills. Be smart with your money, Tre.

Yeah, he had a remarkably clumsy spell there, for yards and yards…… EDIT: I just watched it again and it was even more ridiculous than I remembered! https://www.google.com/search?q=holy+roller+dave+casper&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#

Well, thank you for that……I suppose.

This guy clearly did not do the sitcom math. He’s only a Rear Admiral, so what does he know? What do any of us know? And how can some people be so sure?

Looking at where the Jags rank in pass protection, it could be a big night for Groot & Co. But I am always nervous!

OT: Bonnie's hire Yahoo Sports writer Adrian Wojanowski as new GM
Augie replied to Big Turk's topic in Off the Wall
Yeah, he’s not coaching an NFL team or running their draft. He’s taking a mostly administrative type of role at his Alma mater. I don’t know what that role entails or how qualified it is, but it’s St Bonaventure, not the NFL. I wonder if he was going to be one more cut at ESPN and he found another path. He’s probably as qualified as anyone to handle NIL and portal issues, since it’s not like other people have been doing this for decades. It’s a new frontier, and I’ll wish him well. -
I was driving an oversized Buick at 16. I was sure everybody was dead. You’re welcome.

Is the bridge still too narrow? That terrified me as a 16 year old!

I had surgery on my left foot so I missed freshman football in HS. I had to have the surgery again right before sophomore year, so I missed that too. As a junior we had a scrimmage against Amherst and a kid rolled up on my leg. It hurt like hell at the time, but as a junior I was the new guy. Carry on. My english teacher/trainer (SJCI) keeps taping my ankle, but it’s never high enough. I say that’s not it! He may have been angry with me for coming back the day he left the pre-tape off. 😂 I go for a follow up appointment for the foot surgery with Dr Joyce (Braves team doctor) and when I walk in he says, “you’re limping on the wrong side” and sends me down for X-rays. The next thing he tells me is the break to my fibula is starting to heal, but I should take it easy. The whole thing was worth it to see the look on my “trainers” face when I said “thanks for all the taping, but I have a broken leg.” That is priceless for a pissed off teenager. No pre-tape my ass! .
