  1. Irish Dancing? ….this could take a while….. .
  2. I want to thank you for describing me as “elderly”. There are so many words that could make that feel worse…….and probably be far more accurate!
  3. I suspect it just goes to show what a serious football fan she is. She can sit on a cheap metal bleacher seat and take in a game without too much discomfort. That has to be it…….otherwise…..well that would just be weird.
  4. Nah, not with a fine citizen like Haslam In charge. He’s never do anything underhanded like that. Wait……what I meant was he’d never miss an opportunity to do something underhanded. N/M
  5. He will need to make a MOUNTAIN of license plates to pay the IRS in full. He’s 55 now, and he won’t serve his entire 30 years. If he was sentenced to more than the prosecution was asking for, then thank you to the Judge on that one! Hopefully the additional pending charges will keep him locked up for the rest of his life. He never deserves to be free again.
  6. Excuse me, do you need directions to the Unpopular Opinions thread? I kid! I kid!!! I don’t see Kim as being part of the celebrity culture. She’s no Kardashian! She didn’t seek attention, it just comes with her high profile. I don’t classify people based upon how well known they are, or how wealthy they are. A soul is a soul, and we all have families and loved ones. Kim is special to me because she played a large role in keeping the Bills in WNY. That matters to me. What matters more is that in assuming her current role, we all got to know her a little bit. She seems to be an incredibly likable person. My heart was broken for all the families and friends affected by the Tops shooting. Completely! But I knew nothing of them before that awful day. That takes NOTHING away from their importance, but Kim is different. Not better or worse, just different. I hope that came out the way I felt it in my mind.
  7. A) I do not enjoy corned beef OR pastrami. B) If a Reuben is not greasy, is it still a Reuben?
  8. I’d have a hard time finding Idaho.
  9. @YoloinOhio indeed. A national treasure! We need a backup plan in case Pats* fans try to knock him off.
  10. The Rocky movies are mostly garbage. About 5 good minutes in the beginning, and 10-12 good minutes at the end. It’s like HGTV, show me the house, then come back for the last 3 minutes. We are watching Hustle now with Adam Sandler. Only half way thru, but it feels similar to a Rocky movie, but the middle is not as calorie free. I know….an Adam Sandler movie……Rocky…. 🤷‍♂️
  11. 🙋‍♀️
  12. I was about to post Kevin Bacon, because…..ya’ know….how long could it go? Then I saw Mila Kunis, and remembered I was going to be there too. Kevin Bacon gets the night off, and if Josh or Kyle can’t make it, well, I’ll just horrify Mila by being the only other one there! 😱
  13. I’ll have you know @Gugny broke into my car at the opener. Probably looking for spare change or a pair of sunglasses he could pawn. I realize it’s not OJ level criminal activity (though close to when he stole cookies in prison), but I think we need a thorough vetting before we name our first TBD inductee. On a positive note, partially redeeming him, he was very generous with his food offerings. If I recall correctly, it was a fine chili and “special brownies”. I gave him a fine Yelp review! After further consideration, “let ‘em have it”. Despite his fascination with baseball. My son summed it up well when he turned down All-Stars one year ending his baseball career: “half the people are standing around, and the other half are sitting”. Clearly I’m torn, but I’m also easy. It’s a good thing I was never a teenage girl.
  14. If, by “must”, you mean “could” be a stroke, that would be accurate. It could be a lot of things. I see no point in speculating, much less acting like we know anything for certain. Get well, Kim!
  15. You got lucky. You got a ride! I met a buddy for drinks one day at The Battery where the Braves play. I had used Uber to get there and back at least a dozen times before Covid. It’s 3 miles and about an 8 minutes ride that used to cost $7-$9. I was shocked when the ride there said $19, but I was going for drinks and it was the safe thing to do. For the ride home it quoted me $34 which REALLY pissed me off. To top things off, when I accepted the ridiculous fare, it said “no drivers available”. I kept checking repeatedly, only to get the same response. I’m glad it was only 3 miles, because I had to walk it. I checked it randomly for a few months and no drivers popped up far too often for my comfort. This was all about a year ago. I’ve used Uber since, especially when out of town, and have not had a problem in recent months. I’ve not been stranded again, but that’s always in the back of my mind. EDIT: @Stroke 17 Dress light and don’t forget sunscreen and a hat. Even late September will blister your ass! Florida for the first month of the schedule can be BRUTAL! .
  16. Jessica is still showing as due to play in the first round at Wimbledon today, so let’s hope that’s a good indication that nothing has changed for the worse. If I’m going to speculate, I’d rather do it in a positive and hopeful manner.
  17. Being repeatedly negative across countless topics does not make you a “realist”. Wait….I may have gotten this wrong.
  18. I have just experienced “the type”. Lordy!
  19. Start with Butch Byrd first. He’s one who belonged in first and has waited the longest. I don’t care about any backstory, just do the right thing.
  20. Go clean up your room and get to bed. It’s almost 10:00 PM! What is this country coming to???
  21. You, my child.
  22. Maybe you don’t have enough of a sample size of vomit? You should try working on that first, before acting like an expert.
  23. Is that the rock star look? Make those cougars go crazy….for an older man? 😂 Hair is just not what it used to be. Sadly. I get that.
  24. That sounds personal, and I’ll report you if you tell me!!! (You can PM me if you need help finding a hotline number.)
  25. I have an old tennis buddy in Florida who I used to go to lunch with a lot after tennis. He would explain he was “allergic” to onions when it appeared his entire family just didn’t like them, but he was convinced it was an actual allergy. I smelled BS there. BUT, the big thing was the pickle. He’d say NO PICKLE, and as the server walked away I’d repeat “SERIOUSLY! NO PICKLES!” Nice guy in his 50’s-60’s at the time. Very accomplished and wealthy by family and on his own, but………..if a pickle came out on his plate he would whine like a four year old who missed his nap! “You can’t fix that! It was on the plate! ALL the food is contaminated!!!” It was awkward and VERY painful.
