  1. My wife hates that I really can eat just one potato chip.
  2. DING! DING! DING!!! You win a prize as the One Millionth poster to point that out! 😂 I just don’t see it being at all realistic, but I’ve been wrong before. But I just don’t see it.
  3. Ohh, you flatter yourself! 😂
  4. This guy made more money off of one play where he was completely unblocked in college than any other player I can recall. He is, or at least was, not much more than a solid player.
  5. RIP Ralph and I had a rather close relationship. I was back in WNY for a game and having dinner at the Creekview restaurant on Main St in Williamsville. I go to the men’s room just as he’s coming out of the door not paying attention (it’s a bit tight, if you’ve ever been there). I think the close call startled us both just a little bit. The next day I go into the stadium early when crowds are still light, and I almost get run over on the concourse by this little Pope-Mobile thing with Ralph inside! I don’t know if he grabbed the wheel and aimed at me or just ordered the driver! (It was actually rather close!) I would have picked up their dinner tab if I could have, but he was on his way out. It may sound silly paying for a billionaire’s dinner, but to me it was the gesture that counted. For all the people who say Ralph is cheap, I say what he saved, he gave to important charities in his home towns. So, there’s that…..
  6. I think the real problem is that most of their fans live on another continent.
  7. That brings me right back to Casey Middle and the “dance” in the gym. That was the sound of the times. EDIT: Oh, and they killed it! Well done! .
  8. Upon reflection, I changed my emoji from sad to AWESOME! That was a brilliant and lasting message, and a life well lived helping young people find their paths. It’s a celebration of a great life. .
  9. Hey, but if you do well you could wind up as #102! Look at the bright side! 😋
  10. My son’s best friend was a musician in Nashville, and he flew in to sing that at Michael’s funeral. I am weeping just thinking of it. Beautiful song I was not familiar with until that day. It was not pretty, I promise. But strangely, and on the bright side, I was literally in the middle of the first episode of “Surviving Death” on Netflix when I peeked (I first typed peaked, but that might have been the worst no-no in the thread!) in here and saw the terrible news. I’ve been interested in NDE’s, and what that means, since high school. We should all be aware, we will be graded for grammar, spelling, punctuation and anything else we can screw up!!! That will give Tom something to do. 😋 .
  11. Different poster, but I’m not sure which one you are thinking of. Regardless, this is very shocking as it feels like he was just here.
  12. What devastating news. We lost one of the good ones. What a beautiful message. Prayers to all the family and friends.
  13. Hey, why don’t we do this in Cambodia? That would be cool.
  14. Tim Askey was a cool French teacher, too. He’d bring his two GIANT Newfoundlands in his van out to a park in Clarence where we were doing kegs and other high school kid things on weekends. I stayed in French longer (thru Junior year) because he was a fun teacher.
  15. We also read Life After Life (1975) by Dr Raymond Moody. Those two books did more to form my faith than any CCD class I had to sit through! For that reason I’ve read countless similar books since, some of which are in the room where I sit right now. I still remember a bunch of stuff from Mr Rust’s class including the word adamant (or, “a damn ant” if you use the memory tricks). Lots of cool memories from those days.
  16. What are you hiding in there? This is concerning. Mods? Anybody?
  17. Does that mean you spent more years there than the rest of us?
  18. I think the first sentence of this thread is indeed well documented. 😋 Certainly allowed to all your opinions, but this was not shocking. .
  19. I’ll probably never know. Typical ESPN move, but Mike & Mike was the last thing they had (other than an occasional game, of course) that I liked. They ran me off with the current garbage.
  20. He’ll get a shot somewhere, eventually. This is just a classic example of how important your landing spot is in the draft, especially for QB’s. The Jets can’t just conjure up a market for him. In the meantime, he’ll continue earning NFL checks, so it’s not ALL terrible.
  21. Hmmm…….a pattern seems to be emerging. 😂
  22. I’m good with Terry Pegula keeping his face off of decisions like this. Goodness, I’d hate to be a Jets fan.
  23. Has the league provided any video demonstrating what is allowed and what is not. Where do you draw the line? This sounds like a giant gray area, worse than “is that a catch?”
  24. Did you attend a weekend retreat or something with all the mods to gain insight into their deep personal thoughts on this? I’m here quite a bit, and I’ve never noticed the cheerleader level of bias you mention. It sounds like you may have crossed some lines somewhere to me if you were suspended on three separate occasions. Just a thought, but maybe a little self-scouting would be helpful for you. FYI - I guess you can go to PPP for greater freedom of speech (I avoid that place!), but you can get in trouble here too. I’m not trying to stir anything up, I’m just trying to help you avoid further issues. Going out of your way to offend people generally does not end well, in my experience, so maybe that could be part of your self-scouting.
