  1. There are no words. One of the worst displays of coaching I've ever seen. Thanks Pettine.
  2. Sounds like he is a fan favorite. That's always tough. There is always more to the story than what is told to the media. Especially during the season. Hopefully he can get back on the field for you guys.
  3. Connor Cook is from my hometown. Draft him!! I wish OSU had recruited him.
  4. Maybe he was being lazy in practice or not paying attention in films? I'm sure there was a reason he didn't play. I think the Patriots deactivated one of their wide receivers (not injury related) recently for at least two games.
  5. What did he do? We have a similar issue... Terrance West benched. He was our leading rusher. Coach says he wasn't pleased with his practice habits, or effort in the game when he didn't get the ball. I think it sends a message to guys that less than 100% or not being a team-first guy isn't going to cut it when you are trying to change a losing culture. Browns haven't won anything in a long time but these rookies... they don't get it.http://www.cleveland...nce_west_1.html
  6. He wasn't like that while a DC in Cincy. That's surprising.
  7. I was just reading about this. I can't imagine the team is pleased about him causing a distraction while they are trying to get ready for a game, either. I looked him up and he has 8 catches. Otherwise I'd say we should trade for him!
  8. Homeless men determine who we draft! Believeland!
  9. Therein lies the problem. They should have locked up Hoyer in the offseason for cheap. But they change FOs and coaching staffs every year so no one knows what the heck they are doing. Now, he is a FA. So do you pay him what he could get on the open market (would be a lot for a QB) and keep Manziel as the backup (wasted #1 pick) or let him leave and see if Manziel is any good, which we have no idea? You could trade Manziel, but you will never get his value of what you invested in return because no one has seen him play a real game. In a sense it was a free pick we got from Indy, but in reality you then completely wasted the picks, plural, you spent on T-Rich.
  10. Ha! I was thinking was while watching the game yesterday (I didn't go to the game this week) that an investigation should be launched into how the Steelers have 3 wins.
  11. Thanks for the love - it would be a lot more exciting if the Steelers weren't complete trash this year. But we'll take the W. I'm not getting too excited until we beat a good team, and it would be the least surprising thing in the world to lose at Jax this week. We don't have a lot of talent on the team and what we did have is either hurt (Alex Mack, Phil Taylor), suspended (Gordon) or regressed (Haden). Hoyer has played well (game manager, making key/clutch throws when needed) and the OL has been very good (especially Bitonio, but losing Mack is huge). Regarding the Richardson trade, I don't think you can say that was a good decision yet by the now-fired FO. He played well for us his rookie year, regardless of what he has done in Indy. Because we got rid of him, we had zero running game last year. We then had to sign Tate in FA and spend a draft pick on West when we could have taken a WR. We drafted TRich at 3 and got a late 1st rounder in return. With that pick we took a guy who has yet to see the field. Time will tell.
  12. Saints D is horrible. They couldn't even stop Hoyer and our band of misfit WRs, missing Cameron and Tate.
  13. LOL. I waded through a few pages and still have no idea who Da'Rick is.
  14. Unfortunately, I don't know if I agree or disagree. I don't follow either team closely enough to break it down by position. Therefore, my opinion would not count for much. But since a football team is judged by its sum rather than its individual parts, I think it is clear the Bills are better since the Dolphins can't beat them. Is that what you were looking for? I do know that each team has some really good players. Wallace, Clay, Grimes and Wake are tough on Miami. I don't have to tell you about your own team. But I don't compare WR group to WR group, for example to draw any kind of conclusion. Rather, WR group to DB group since that is the matchup.
  15. I wasn't offering an excuse. I was actually sitting right in front of that play when it happened. Believe me, Browns fans were hoping he couldn't come back (sorry). I was responding to Geno 8-8, Tannehill 8-8, EJ 6-10 with better talent. I indicated "he" was not 6-10, as he didn't play in 6 1/2 of the games. My response was to the comment that he was 6-7 overall. I said that I don't really hand him that Cleveland loss, so looked at him as 6-6, or .500 at the moment. I didn't give him credit for a win. I just wasn't handing him the loss, because he didn't play in the part where the team lost. I realize he went 4-6 last year as a starter last year. My response to you was that you had said he was 6-7 overall. I would say he is 6-6, in games he started and finished. I am surprised you don't see this distinction with the Cleveland game. It seems like common sense. Regardless, it isn't a big deal. Just wanted to make my point clear. I am just an outsider; really just looking at it objectively.
  16. I see. I actually watched the Lions-GB last week and Detroit's great offense must have taken the week off. GB's D is wretched and they scored 12 pts.
  17. I didn't say it was a positive thing to get hurt, but I also think it is the reason they didn't win more than 6 last year. He isn't hurt now, is he? So I don't know if you can project him as worse than the others based on the fact he got hurt last year. I think he would actually be 6-6 unless you are counting the Cleveland game as he was only out there for about a half or less and was winning when he left. Anyway, it seems like most people on this board don't like him based on the comments. Yet the poll suggests otherwise. Interesting.
  18. Surprised the Texans are favored. They don't even have a good home field advantage. Bills for the win, they have a much better team. I have no idea what the score will be!
  19. The worst part about the INTs that Geno throws is that a lot of them are in the red zone!! He seems to be the reason they lose some of their games. Sometimes he just needs to throw it away.
  20. Didn't the Bills QB get hurt though, and miss almost 7 games? I think the Jets and Dolphins both had their starting QB for the whole season and lost half their games. So did Brandon Wheedon... how does this make him a good QB?
