    The reviews really were cumbersome. The NLL needs to find a way to speed them up. And why can’t they find working mics for the refs? The good news is the Bandits take Game 1 by a 12-10 score and can secure the championship in Saskatchewan on Sunday. Also, Dhane Smith passes his coach, John Tavares, to become the all-time playoff scoring champ in NLL history.

    It took me awhile to come around to the sport. Now that I have, I find it highly entertaining and the joy of watching your team hoist a championship trophy is pretty sublime. I can't image how much that would be magnified if the Sabres ever won the cup or the Bills the Lombardi.

    Last year it was heavily touted that DeWayne Carter was a multi-year captain at Duke and that’s one of the things that attracted the Bills to him. So far that hasn’t amounted to much on the field. We’ll see how this year goes for him.
