Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22

If he took anyone other than Dahlin he would be drawn and quartered and hung in effigy from the key Bank Arena. -
[Spoilers]Avengers: Infinity War[Spoilers]
ChevyVanMiller replied to unbillievable's topic in Off the Wall Archives
An interesting note: You may have noticed in the credits that a character from Arrested Development was listed. It is Tobias Funke (David Cross) in his Blue Man Group get-up. He appears in a glass cage when Thanos is attacking the Collector. The interesting thing is that scene is soon revealed to be of Thanos' conjuring and not reality at all, meaning that Thanos is a fan of arrested Development? Read more about it here: https://screenrant.com/infinity-war-thanos-arrested-development-easter-egg/ -
Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22

I've read a lot about him recently and everyone seems to be using phrases like "generational talent," "has no flaws," and "will transform the Sabres immediately." Nobody has seen anyone as polished as this kid was playing against men at just 16 and 17 years of age. So, I think you can rest at ease, the Sabres just got the type of luck that could very well lead to a Stanley Cup or two down the line. -

Antman and Wasp will be there for sure. Also, the tag-on alluded to Captain Marvel. Her movie debuts one month before the next Avengers and it is said that she will be the most-powerful hero Marvel has put on screen so far. -

You're too modest, John. Your insights are well reasoned and always appreciated. If you ever long for intelligentsia, just have a look in the mirror. -

Agreed and where have the mods gone? 2nd thread created on a subject when there has been one all year that 5 or 6 of us have carried the discussion in. Hopefully, some of the people commenting on Dahlin will join us next year. -

Man, that is exciting to watch. Can't wait for a shootout where we roll out Nylander, Mittlestadt and Dahlin. Just put the bonus point in the Sabres win column. -

Wow, I'm stoked. Dahlin can change things around here in a hurry. -
Bills Will Welcome 5 New Players Today....
ChevyVanMiller replied to JMF2006's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll try to get this back on track. Day 3 is where great GMs shine. The Bills need a WR, OG, C, CB and probably another LB. Let's hope Beane can unearth a few late-round gems today. -

I don't necessarily disagree with Schoop on this issue, but want to remind everyone that he is the guy that stated, on air after Ralph Wilson passed and before Pegula materialized as a bidder, that even if he had the money he wouldn't buy the Bills because he "just didn't care enough about them." He was dead to me from that day on...

What would you have given up to get Jim Kelly?
ChevyVanMiller replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In retrospect, I feel pretty comfortable in saying that I would have given up Tony Hunter in a deal, that's for sure. -

For those that prefer white guys with a high motor, I assume the parrot will only pick crackers. (Ba-dum-ba.) -

I commend you, Sir, for using the proper "buck naked," instead of the oft misused "butt naked." -
I'm starting to think the QB Class is Overhyped

Not sure if the QB class is overhyped, but I am 100% positive that threads about them on this site are. -
On paper, the Bills have 9 solid staters.

I still have one that my grandfather bought in the 1970s. A tag on the front touts "Dual Power Source Technology" (cord and 9-Volt battery). Still works like a charm. -

Why Jake Locker walked away from football.

Can't wait for the "Why Football Walked Away From Jake Locker," rebuttal piece. -
I'm sure this will get flamed, but I'm casting a vote for Kicker (seriously). Here's a stat from Marasoft.com: In the last twenty years 46.12% of all the NFL regular season games were decided by 7 or less points and 23.59% of the football games were decided by 3 or less. If you knew that you were getting the GOAT kicker, one that would hit almost everything up to 60+ yards out and one who would always kick it out of the end zone and pin your opponents deep, it would easily translate to 3 more wins per season on average. Can any other position besides QB make that claim?

Bills Release DE Cap Capi

That moment when you both learn that the Bills have a player on the roster named Cap Capi and are releasing him.
