  1. One of the greatest pickers ever. RIP
  2. I thought this thread was going to be about the Snickers commercial where he starts singing. "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" and then he bites into the candy bar and morphs into a crappy rapper. I can't figure out why he would debase himself like that - he's a living freaking legend.
  3. Hutton stood on his head tonight. Dahlin is quietly having a great rookie campaign. It might not always make the score sheet, but he routinely makes elite-level plays.
  4. One of the most creative minds ever. I'm thankful that my childhood wish to see his great cavalcade of characters make it to the silver screen came to fruition. RIP, Mr. Lee
  5. Just a minor aside from yesterday's game: The Jets actually had three different players called for holding on the SAME play. I can't ever remember seeing that before, I wonder how often it's happened in the history of the league? Just a testimony to how dominant the Bills D has been - if you can't beat 'em, try and cheat 'em!
  6. A piece of advice: Just enjoy a win without trying to find a black cloud to temper the rainbow. Blowout wins are a fleeting thing with this franchise - always have been - so just try to enjoy the warm glow for a day or two. You'll be a better man for it.
  7. Cuse goes to 2-0 after holding off Morehead (insert Beavis and Butthead joke here) State. Never thought I'd write this, but they really need Frank Howard back out there. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/recap?gameId=401082782
  8. Amazing finish. Mittlestadt's SO goal was so crafty it should have it's own shelf st Hobby Lobby.
  9. Rewatch this play again and pay attention to Eichel's lower hand. He reverses it on the stick to feign as if he's going to draw the puck back and suck in the opposing Center. He then pokes the puck through his opponent's legs and makes the laser pass to Skinner with his hand STILL inverted. Now that is an elite play. Wow.
  10. Now that was a fun game to watch. And that pass from Eichel to tie it at 5 in the third - that was straight-up filthy.
  11. Happy Birthday Promo. Say hello to Mr. Beeper for me.
  12. Brissett looked like a man amongst boys as 'Cuse rolls in opener. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/recap?gameId=401082781
  13. Jim had his son born with a terminal illness and had to suffer through his early passing. He has since been through multiple battles with cancer. What makes you think that he's got the time or energy to put into a screwup nephew that has pissed away every opportunity he's been given?
  14. I met him last year, he stayed at my hotel while appearing at Comic Con in Niagara Falls, ON. We had a 15 minute conversation about his brother, his career and Vince McMahon. Really nice guy and he really enjoys interacting with fans and keeping the Macho Man's memory alive.
  15. Here are my favorite heels from the 70s, Reginald and Hartford Love - The Love Brothers. I used to watch them on CHCH-TV when they wrestled on promoter Frank Tunney's cards from Maple Leaf Gardens. They were great heels, the looked like Summer of Love hippies, but fought like Hell's Angels.
  16. I know that we have a wresting thread, but it's mainly about current wrestling, which is not my cup of tea. This thread is to post a pic of your favorite 70s, 80s or 90s era wrestlers (Baby Faces and Heels) and maybe a line or two to describe what it was that made you a fan. I'll kick it off with a baby face, the "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. even though he never met a doughnut or a dozen that he didn't want to immediately scarf down, Rhodes had great charisma. His "Bionic Elbow" was a lame finisher, but I couldn't wait to watch him drop it on whatever heel he was in the squared circle against.
  17. Yes, that sort of a shock will tend to taint your glamor shot.
  18. I don't know if anyone is watching this on Netflix. People are claiming that it is truly frightening beyond anything they've ever watched. I asked the wife if she wanted to watch it and she said, "Do you want me to ever be able to be alone in this house again?" https://comicbook.com/horror/2018/10/19/the-haunting-of-hill-house-netflix-reactions-twitter/
  19. I'm pretty sure that nothing stranger has ever happened than for an historically wretched QB like Peterman to somehow redeem his moribund career.
  20. I work in Ontario and it's a non-issue so far. As CBF mentioned above, it will be months until stores are open for retail sales.
  21. Vinton created the name ( and studio ) Claymation. He cited Gumby and Pokey (which was called Stop-Motion technique) as his inspiration. He just took it to new levels.
  22. Haha, a lot of people in this thread are about to go from, "Who in the heck is Bennie Fowler?" to "Why are we letting the Giants scoop Fowler out from underneath us?"
  23. Known best for the California Raisins and the Domino's Noid, but I always think of his underrated Christmas special as his best work. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/09/obituaries/will-vinton-dead.html
  24. This thread needs to be on TSW, not Off The Wall.
