League needs to avoid this scenario: Game is declared no contest, we're going by W%, then on Sat. KC wins. Standings then: KC 14-3 BUF 12-3 CIN 11-4 No incentive for BUF, who is playing a team NE battling for playoffs, other teams including MIA,PITT,Jax? are impacted in a negative competitive manner. Adding the choice of Bye or Home Field is a way of balancing the scales between 1 and 2. Bills would be interested in staying ahead of CIN. Also would give CIN an opportunity for 1 or 2 given they win and BIlls lose. NOTE: Cin owns the tiebreaker over us from what I've seen (SOV)

What if the Bills refuse to play the Patriots?

The chance of the Bills not playing is 0%- mark it down. -
So on the NFL Radio Murray/Gannon were just saying that in the end, life is not fair and therefore the Bills will suffer the most unfairness. They believe the NFL will call game a no contest, Chiefs win Sat and have a better winning % and get 1 seed. Do you think the NFL would want to release this plan prior to the games? I'm not so sure

I would caution that it has been less than 48 hours and the NFL is correct in doing nothing so far rather than making a bad decision. Let things cool off and let Hamlin continue to improve. If it means people don't find out a decision when they think they need to-well tough. As for the coin flip idea, I'd rather they played a computer simulation myself and used the results. As for the restarting the game from the point the game it left off that's ludicrous. Can you imagine at the same spot on the field where it all occurred and ref blows the whistle to play ball-not happening.

You never know how a team is mentally until the game. I've coached (and supposed signs) like good practice/ Bad practice can very often be incorrect readings with teams. I'd like to think that the news of Damar improving continues today and the team strike a rallying cry of "Do it for Damar or he'd want us to take care of business" become the reality. Bottom line is we won't know until Sunday at 1:00. I kind of look at it like a bank, you make deposits and take out money. Have the Bills got enough left deposited emotionally after the events of this year?
