  1. Uh.....no. They barely won any of their early titles. Any type of cheating could have swayed those games. Also, they were doing this cheating all along before they got caught. Who knows how long they were cheating before they got caught and who knows what else they are doing that they haven't been called on yet. His whole career is tainted. Period. And the quotes around "cheating" are not necessary. They are proven cheaters (multiple times), so no need to couch it. They cheated and didn't pay a big enough price for it.
  2. Brady, while great, should never be considered #1 because of all the cheating. He also recently said that Rodgers would be better than anyone else with better coaching.
  3. This is more where I believe I think they will end up in my opinion. However, I do think by the time it is said and done, Rodgers could be higher on that list. Honestly, Brees and Brady could be swapped as well. 1. Montana 2. Manning 3. Rodgers 4. Brady* 5. Brees
  4. OK....we all know the Ravens were pretty terrible in the first half. We also know we are not very good. That said, would anyone here, right now, sign up for Joe Flacco's performance in the first half on Sunday for Josh Allen?
  5. As I mentioned here yesterday, I have been going back and forth on what to do here as many of us have. But I got up this morning and it was pretty clear to me that Allen needs to start. It's not that Allen is ready. I rather not have to play him yet. But this is all about Peterman at this point. I just don't see how McDermott can roll him out there again on Sunday for a couple reasons: 1. How does McDermott look his players in the eyes and tell them that Nate gives them the best chance to win? 2. If he were to roll Peterman out there on Sunday and he goes 3 and out, or God forbid, throws another pick on the first drive, there is going to be 73,000+ there lighting the stadium on fire. Even if he gets a couple of first downs before flaming out, the building is going to boo Peterman, the team, and the coaching staff mercilessly. The only way it works with Peterman is if he goes out there and scores TDs on 2-3 drives in a row. And what are the chances that happens? I don't want Allen going in yet, but at this point, I don't see any other option. If the game was on the road, I could easily see McDermott throwing Peterman out there again, but at home, in the home opener, following up last year's and last week's performances, against the team that buried him last season........I just can't see it. Peterman starting Sunday is a riot waiting to happen.
  6. Roughing the passer......... UGH.....
  7. Man, the Raiders can't seem to generate a pass rush and are having trouble setting the edge in the run game. If only there was someone out there that could have helped them this season.....
  8. This I agree with if a decision has really not been made. He didn't tell us anything today, but that doesn't mean that behind closed doors the team hasn't already found out. But I think McDermott should have gone out there today with his decision and showed some conviction. Right now he just looks scared to make a decision, which I guess you can't blame him for. Not an ideal situation at all.
  9. You could argue looking at it this way as a fan, but from all accounts, they LOVE them some Peterman in that building. I truly think they thought he would be good enough to hold him for a while until Allen was definitely ready to go.
  10. I listened to McDermott after the game, today at his presser, and then on WGR and I come away with the same thoughts...... He wishes there was a way that he could avoid playing Allen because he's not ready and needs more time, but he knows that he can't very well roll Peterman out there and have it go terribly wrong....AGAIN. McDermott always says he thinks of ever possible angle when making a decision, but I can guarantee you there is no way he thought Peterman would be as terrible as he was yesterday. And now, he is in a very tough spot. I was one of Allen's detractors at draft time, not because of his talent, but because he was going to require time and had the furthest to go to be ready. Now, I have seen Allen make great strides with his lower half mechanics from where he was in college which is encouraging, but there are other concerning things that are still very noticeable that shows he may not be ready. The biggest of those is his tendency to run from phantom pressure. Now, it really isn't all his fault. I mean, who can blame him playing behind Wyoming's O-Line and now ours. Both are absolutely atrocious and he has become use to having to run for his life. So, even when he has a clean pocket, he is way to quick to get out at times because he doesen't believe he actually has time to throw. Like I said, hard to blame him, but it is an issue that will lead to missed plays, bad plays, and poor decisions at time. So yeah, I am not sure Allen is ready either. But this is the situation the team put themselves in by not getting anyone in the off season with any experience. Bridgewater, or even Fitz, would have made a lot more sense as a placeholder, but it is what it is and now they have to pay the price. It's not an easy decision. Do you roll Peterman out there again, this time at home, against the team that destroyed him last year, coming off that performance yesterday and risk the stadium imploding with every incomplete pass? Or, do you roll out the rookie, Josh Allen, who probably isn't completely ready, and risk developing bad habits, and perhaps stunting his growth because of the inferior talent around him? I've been going back and forth like many here have. Look, I want to win as much as the next guy, but I also don't want to risk hurting Allen's chance of being good. As tough as it may be, I could honestly see McDermott throwing Perteman out there this week PRAYING that he looks somewhat competent. It's a risk for sure as you will get eaten alive by fans and media all week and, if it goes sideways again on Sunday, becoming the laughingstock of the league. That said, whether it happens this week, next week, or the week after that, Allen is going to be playing sooner than they hoped. And with this being the only home game in September, and with the way Peterman burst into flames yesterday, there may not be a better time to put Allen out there early this season. I think fans are smart enough to know we are not going to win many games this year. I just hope that if they do put Allen out there, that the fans don't get on him about every little mistake because there will be plenty with the lack of talent around him.
  11. Beane was not here when Mahomes was drafted. He cam in after the draft. That said, McDermott WAS here and decided to pass......
  12. OK.....enough is enough. Allen can't be worse. Send him out there in the 2nd Half.
  13. Peterman is 2-8 for 7 yards..... I would rather Allen be on the field chucking 70 yard bombs every play hoping that 1 is completed or you get a PI...... Can't get much worse......
  14. Edmunds is going to have some ups and downs this season, but the dude is gonna be a big time player for a long time......
  15. Nice block, Groy..... And Vlad....Keep up the good work. Going to need 4 new lineman next season.
  16. Yeah....watched this a little while ago. Fantastic stuff. It's awesome that football is back tonight, but man......I can't wait for Sunday! GO BILLS!
  17. This game is terrible..... The worst part about it, though? That some of these players are actually going to be on our team. Brutal......
  18. Teller with the pancake.....
  19. That's the Edmunds we expected.....
  20. He had one in a blizzard last year..... Maybe why nobody saw it?
  21. Am I the only one that didn't see a personal foul on that play in the GB game? Multiple angles show a hit with the shoulder and a textbook hit at that...... This rule will destroy the game....
  22. Crow might be a tad strong. He hasn't done anything yet in the NFL. It's way too early to tell. I was just making an objective observation in where he seems to be at now as compared to where he was in college because I did watch all of his games. That's all. He hasn't proven anything yet. That said, I like the track he is on and, in my opinion, seems to be ahead of where I thought he would be at this time. And nobody is more happy about that than me, along with every Bills fan out there, is. And also, just to be clear, I said on multiple occasions that Allen may indeed be the best QB to come out of this draft. He was, by far, the most naturally gifted and talented. But he also had the furthest to go in terms of being NFL ready based on his college games. With the terrible QB play that we have been witnessing for the last 20 years, I would have preferred someone a little more NFL ready at the time because I just want to finally watch a real NFL offense. With the little we have see to this point, it looks like we may finally get that. And the sooner Allen can be the one pulling the trigger, the better for all of us.
  23. As someone that was very concerned about his base and footwork coming out of college, I have to say he has come a long way in a short amount of time. I watched every one of his games this year in college and, while I knew enough that there was unlimited potential there, I didn't want to go that route because I saw just how far he had to go. I didn't want the project even though I knew in the end he could be the best QB in the draft. That said, while I haven't been to every single practice, I have seen him practice and have watched his half multiple times against Carolina watching nothing but his footwork at times and I came away surprised how much better his base looked. And while he still has a ways to go, in my opinion, he is much further along at this point than I thought he could get to since his college season ended. This shows me the guy works at it and takes coaching well which is very important. While he will never lead the league in completion percentage, he has the ability to make plays from anywhere on the field. That's something we haven't seen here in many years. If the kid keeps working to become more consistent, I think we will all be very happy with the finished product.
