  1. There had been talk about Patrick Roy, so I wonder if they're talking to him and others before "deciding" on Rolsten.
  2. Funny, but I read that and said Who is Collins? Big deal meaning lots of press coverage.
  3. No doubt. I think the question there is whether Vanek is going to want to stay.
  4. The Onion ‏@TheOnion 21m UMass Dartmouth Beginning To Regret Offering Course In Applied Domestic Terrorism http://onion.com/103ksfX
  5. They still sell out or are very close for every game................TV ratings were really good this year.
  6. Great post. I know this isn't the PC thing to say, but I am just sick of hearing about gay this and gay that. I'm also sick of hearing about concussions in football. Even though I know they are important, too. My thing about the gay issue is that it's a never ending string of firsts. Now it'll be a big deal with the first hockey player comes out and on and on. When Ellen came out - and I think her character came out - I was like why is this a big deal? I thought we went though all this 15-20 years ago with Billy Crystal's character on Soap?.................I recently saw that some show is going to be a big deal because it will be the first gay couple as the lead characters. Well, what about Modern Family? Sorry, not lead characters. Well, what about Will and Grace - sorry, not a couple. Etc................So, if this show is a drama, then the next one will be the FIRST lead couple in a comedy. Or, vice versa if this is a comedy. And, I am all for equal rights, so that is not my issue.
  7. What is the deal that I was seeing on twitter tonight. Something about us getting a higher draft pick if MN or St. L get to the conference finals or something like that.............Must be from a trade and the pick was conditional on something. I don't have two hours to listen to that whole thing. Do you know when the good contentious parts are?
  8. The thing is it won't become a non story............The next thing is who is the first non journeyman.........Then, each sport will have to have their first.
  9. Of course. When you and Astrojanitor, etc. talk about music, to me it's like this:
  10. I think maybe he did. I just looked at his average yards per game. If he had been playing 16 game seasons, he would have been averaging 1168 per season............He was no OJ.
  11. I don't think he had the moves of OJ, Barry or Gale Sayers, though. I totally agree...........Football eats it's young..........The guaranteed money in baseball, the whole not being maimed for life thing, etc. - it's a no brainer. The odd thing about football is that there have been a number of players that we've seen stay in school when they would be close to or the #1 draft pick - Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, Jake Locker, Matt Leinart, Matt Barkley, etc..............And, yet - basketball players, much to the detriment of the college game, are almost always one and done now. And, they have a much lesser chance of a bad injury.
  12. Then, that's a different concert, since Jump was 1984 (the album and the year it was released)............So, DLR had that same schtick going 5 years later then! I hated them for that, and then I went again for free in 2004 and didn't like that concert either. It was Sammy Hagar and not DLR. I think those are the only two big concerts I've gone to for free, and I wanted my money back after both of them!
  13. Was that VH concert in '79 or '80 or so?.......................I was in the front row (didn't pay - snuck in through a friend) and my friend and I kept laughing at how "We're going to teach Buffalo how to party and then we'll be back next year!"..............Both my friend and I could really drink alot, and we were like no way can anybody do that if it's really JD!
  14. That was my first concert ever! Also, the first time I ever drank hard cider...........I was a huge Seger fan, and thought I was the only one that knew all these songs by him. Then, it turns out all these people at this concert also knew them. I thought I had died and gone to heaven and I became a concert fanatic then and there! Loved Alto being on top of the speakers! Then, the bad side of the hard cider kicked in. (I was 15 years old). I puked all the way through the Yes set. And, it got worse with each baseline by Chris Squire, which I guess included the frisbee! If nobody has mentioned the Who playing Love Reign O'er Me and having it start to rain, you're a bunch of idiots! So, I'll go with: 1.) Who rain 2.) Alto 3.) Stones concert in 1981. Now it is raining, but then George Thorogood rocks the rain away!.............Then, Journey comes on and prompty gets booed off the stage (the only time I've seen this happen). PS Now I look above me and see the Who rain thing mentioned (I wasn't going to comb through the thread). Good job - you guys aren't idiots!
  15. I think I'm the only who stuck to your instructions.
  16. The Dalai Lama always says you can never have enough safeties.
  17. I think BPA is good, but I would weight a little bit more a QB that they were high on (which might just be BPA to them anyway)..........Quarterbacking is such a huge % of winning that until you have found that franchise guy, you have to take all kinds of shots at it.
  18. Graham is so fast he plays two positions at once.
  19. What annoys me about them is they went on a farewell tour and then the next year they were on tour with Aerosmith!
  20. Hey, nice screen name...........As an A-10 fan, I kept thinking that Lasalle's basketball coach was John Gianelli.............It turns out it is John Giannini
