  1. I don't know. But, I do know it's the last time I couldn't get on. But, I'm going with reverse the curse!
  2. Thanks for everything, SDS! The last time I remember not being able to get on the site was after the Music City Miracle...........Hopefully, this bookends our playoff drought!
  3. I didn't even know they had female guards at male prisons.
  4. CanisiusHSFB Canisius HS Football 6h Larry Felser '51 - starting guard for @CanisiusHSFB. Beat @SJCIfootball. League Champs. Proud Crusader & Buffalonian pic.twitter.com/Z6VuWnZ1X8
  5. You guys are one out of two - Beth is great (and I was not a Kiss fan - so was Peter Criss' Hard Luck Woman) but Mr. Roboto sucked!
  6. Does anyone know when Mark Gaughan took over that role from Larry?
  7. After the big wins, my father would go out to a store on Sunday night that he knew already had the Monday paper! Awesome!
  8. What? Then, this post will make no sense to anyone. Idiots!
  9. No matter how many times you post that video, I still think it's great. She's a hero!................Idiot!
  10. Jim Kelley as Sabres beat reporter, Vic Carucci as Bills reporter, and Felser as lead columnist..........No, I didn't realize at the time that that was great. I think Mark Gaughan is the only suitable replacement we ended up getting for them. He's really good.
  11. That's so true. When did it become a thing that columnists for the News (or is it everywhere?) had to be vitriolic 95% of the time? I never had the same feeling reading Larry as I do Bucky Sullivan.
  12. Loved Larry. I was worried that he wasn't doing well - not hearing him as a guest on the radio, etc. Loved his column, esp. the "opinionated days" - and his Monday Evening Quarterback with John Murphy on WBEN during the Glory Days (as Larry so wisely pointed out we were in at the time) was the best football show ever on Buffalo radio.
  13. 404 Error We're sorry, the page you are looking for cannot be found.
  14. The game was definitely much more fun to watch, with all the scoring. Calvin Murphy, Rick Mount, etc. with 30+ point averages as well in those years. I saw Pistol Pete against the Braves and he made this pass where he had the ball on a an odd man break. He never looked at his teammate, never broke stride, but threw the pass somehow between his legs as he's running for an easy layup. Everybody was like What just happened??
  15. God, I totally forgot about that horrible song. And, yes - Phil Collins is retired and apparently in a deep depression about all the people who hate his songs, per the Rolling Stone article on him.
  16. While the analysts combed through videos frame by frame, a more traditional tip was developing two miles away at Boston Medical Center. Jeffrey Bauman, groggy from anesthesia, his legs just surgically removed at the knee, managed to eke out a request for pen and paper. In the intensive-care unit, Bauman, who had been near the finish line to see his girlfriend complete Monday’s race, wrote words that would help lead to quick resolution of the bombings that killed three and injured 176 others: “Bag. Saw the guy, looked right at me.” FBI agents quickly came to Bauman’s bedside. A man in sunglasses and black baseball cap had walked right up to him, placed a black backpack on the ground and stepped away, Bauman remembered. His tip became a critical lead, according to law enforcement officials. http://www.buffalonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20130422/WORLD/130429792/1002
  17. Actually this is a good thought. I remember giving to different things after 9/11. But, I want the money to go to people who need help, not to family members to feel better about their loss.........Somebody I know got over $1M because her brother died in 9/11 (he wasn't married and had no kids)..........I feel terrible that she lost her brother but giving her a $1M didn't bring him back. I'm talking about the fact that as soon as he woke up, he asked for a pen and paper, so he could draw a picture of the guy who put the bag at his feet..........That let the investigators really narrow their search when combing through the thousands or millions of images..........They might not have these guys if not for him. That's a victim AND a hero.
  18. I saw Ryan Lochte was just trending on twitter. So, I did a search on twitter for Ryan Lochte douchebag. There were a million tweets that had those three words in it...........Half just saying they had to turn it off after ten minutes because he is one.......But, the other half were tweets saying that on the show he had no idea what a douchebag was. I wonder what his Wonderlic is?!?
