  1. Are you a cop? A cop friend of mine told me that stat.
  2. I'm glad it happened. I just didn't need the extra "oh crap, really" in my life when they originally said a LONG time. LOL.
  3. I don't get why they had to be so emphatic about it. The draft was over. There was no competitive advantage to saying he's going to be here a long time.
  4. Russ Brandon a few weeks ago: Buddy Nix is our general manager and will be for a long time.
  5. We tried to confuse the Native Americans - you've got your Redmen, Redskins, etc. But, a brown Indian - what is that??
  6. Does anybody actually call Native Americans Redskins?
  7. You can listen to them all kinds of ways. Like for Adam Carolla, you can go to his website and just hit play on the player..........as mentioned, you can use tunein. etc..............My favorite way is through itunes, since when I stop the show, and then go back to it, and starts up where I left off. Some of the others probably work that way, too.........Somehow, for the Carolla podcast, I can listen to it on my phone and then go to itunes on my computer, and it knows where I left off! It seems like some of the other podcasts don't do that, though.
  8. That's exactly it. The commercials on talk radio take up so much time per hour. With podcasts, it's straight content...........And, the ability to listen when you can, not when they happen to be on. If you have any questions on who's who on Tony's podcast, let me know.
  9. That's actually what I was going to to figure out so thanks for doing it for me! I didn't think it was that far-fetched the way hockey goes. How many 7 and 8 seeds make very long runs it seems every year. This doesn't show them having two picks, and definitely not in the top five, so it's really weird, but I guess I'll stop thinking about it now!: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_NHL_Entry_Draft#cite_note-8
  10. I totally love podcasts. I listen to as little live radio as possible now..........I can't stand call in shows. I do like Schopp and the Bulldog when they are goofing around (ten opinions), talking about music, etc. , but three hours of people calling about who we should trade makes my skin crawl. My top three are: Tony Kornheiser Show - the absolute best for almost two hours of a mix of sports, politics, sports culture, and Mr. Tony's life!.......The best guests - for all those things. Never will interview an athlete or take a call because it's too boring. Instead he always has two smart and funny sidekicks that rotate, and his producer, who is as funny as Greg Bauch. Adam Carolla Podcast - when they are rolling, it makes me laugh even more than Mr. Tony. But, unfortunately, Adam has been telling the same stories over and over lately..........And, I had super high hopes for the one with him and Dr. Drew, like you say, but it's nowhere close to Loveline, which was sublime (just listen to segments on youtube). They just keep talking about the old days and telling the same old stories. He constantly tweets, taking calls, for both shows................If they actually did take calls most of the time, they really get on rolls and funny stories...........I actually like the Dr. Drew by himself podcast better now. He's usually talking about something interesting. Norm MacDonald Live - it's only about 7-8 episodes in. He does it live on youtube at 6PM on Mondays, but then it gets into podcast form shortly after............I never knew how funny Norm is (he's so deadpan) but go to youtube and google Norm and Adam Carolla. He was on Adam's radio show several times, and he's also been on the podcast. But, the radio interviews, had me dying laughing, and I couldn't get enough Norm.........So, now he's got his own podcast, and he's had one funny guest after another. Believe it or not, Larry King was great on it.
  11. 2 questions if anybody knows: What was our record with Rolston? What was the deal that if somehow Minny had beat the Hawks and I think gone one more round, we would have ended up with a top 5 pick?
  12. This is why the would or not thing is stupid. We all would.
  13. Anybody old enough to remember the AFL, will remember him. 8 catches in SBIII. I was only 8 or 9 when he retired and maybe it didn't make the news, but he really didn't like football: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/11/sports/football/george-sauer-jets-receiver-and-rebel-is-dead-at-69.html?_r=0
  14. Those pics are a little much for a teacher, I'd say. I saw her model mayhem page the other day. Everybody posting to it was excited that she got all this free publicity. Seems like she is much more interested in modeling than in teaching. As a teacher, she's pretty hot. But, as a model, she's got fake boobs, a pretty big butt and an average face.
  15. Westboro never seems to show up where they say they are going to these days, anyway.
  16. Oh, yeah. I knew it started with S, bites people and people are more scared of them than should be.
  17. You weren't having any of the snake business, huh, Doc?
  18. Slayer Guitarist Jeff Hanneman Died of Alcohol-Related Cirrhosis Read more: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/slayer-guitarist-jeff-hanneman-died-of-alcohol-related-cirrhosis-20130510#ixzz2SwsBqLKR
  19. I was watching CNN after the Arias verdict, and they went outside where people (ie. losers) were gathered to hear the verdict. It was after the verdict, and the reporter is interviewing this crying woman, who was happy about the verdict, and had been there every day...........He then turned to the next phase and asked about if Jodi should get the death penalty. She said "Well, I don't really believe in the death penalty. I have a cousin on death row, you know" and then proceeded to say that Jodi should be killed. The reporter didn't even say Wait hold it for a second - you have a cousin on death row? What are the odds that you would be asking a woman about the death penalty and she just casually mentions that her cousin is on death row??
  20. I don't understand the negatives on EJ. Slow eyes??...........After the Colin K/RGIII/Wilson season, everybody wants a big tall guy who can run, as well as have a great arm. A great smart leader. It's like EJ is the prototype!
  21. I know. I'm the same way as you - I hate those other people!
  22. It must have been 2004 that I'm thinking of. I think Lee really came on strong in the 2nd half of the year when we made that 6 game run. At that one point in time, he was better than Moulds.
  23. I've never heard of the fullback to receiver move! Although I think some of my electronic football players pioneered that thing.
  24. I honestly don't think it was such a big deal until Americans needed a reason to party in early May. From what I've heard, St. Pat's Day is more of a religious day, like Christmas, in Ireland. Dyngus Day - I don't even know if anybody in Poland knows what that is!
