  1. 1) I really don't want to say that EJ is not capable of being a starting QB, he's just not ready RIGHT NOW! This is a team that's built to win RIGHT NOW, and his play is not at the level it needs to be right now for this team to make the playoffs. His lack of experience and accuracy is really holding them back. 2) The O-line was clearly overmatched, and JJ Watt gets my vote for DPOY already. They couldn't do (fill in the blank) with him. They were of little help to the QB 3) Leodis McKelvin is is both an asset and liability. He's every bit as capable of making big plays as he is of giving them up. 4) Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus are going back to the Pro Bowl. 5) Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods are dynamite receivers being held back by horrible accuracy and timing from the QB position. Don't get me wrong, I'm not counting EJ out, it's just not his time for the way this team is built. Any one of the top 10 QB's would have this team at 4-0 right now with a top 5 offense. 6) We have a playoff caliber defense that needs just a little more help from the offense. Anything else you guys want to add to that?
  2. Fred did throw a pretty good ball - and more accurate than some of EJ's long balls have been.
  3. EJ has to play and get his experience just like the rest of the starters did. This is his season to get to where he needs to be.
  4. Yep, they are. This was a good learning experience for the Bills. Hopefully it'll make them a better team going forward.
  5. I think he'll bounce back too. Rivers showed him just how far he has to go, but it's all a part of the learning process.
  6. 1) Penalties, penalties, and more penalties - Throughout the years, they still continue to shoot themselves up the behind with costly drive killing (or sustaining) penalties that wipe out big plays on both sides of the ball. You can't win games like that! 2) EJ is still a work in progress. He's going to have games where he'll look like a franchise QB, games where he's just average, and games where he's going to look like he belongs on the end of the bench. As it stands right now, he's going to be holding the offense back with his maddening inaccuracy but let's not give up on him yet. Hopefully he learned a few things from watching Phillip Rivers work. He also owes Marquise Goodwin dinner and more for that asinine pass that got him flattened. 3) Corey Graham is clearly the Bills #1 corner right now. 4) Defense is more than good enough the keep the Bills in most games, offense is going to cost them several games just like this one. They won't win many shootouts this year. 5) Deep passing game needs A LOT of work. 6) I like our new punter.
  7. I'm with you on that one. Take some shots IN the end zone when you're in the red zone.
  8. He's building a winner here, and he's doing it the right way. Good drafts and mixing in just the right free agents. We're on our way back to the top
  9. Maintain focus. Next up are the Chargers. Rivers is a much better QB than Cutler & Tannehill. We can't keep settling for field goals when TD's are needed
  10. I'd also take a page from the Seahawks playbook and burn them with a couple WR jet sweeps to keep that front 4 on edge.
  11. The best way to slow Wake down is to run right at him and repeatedly pound away on him.
  12. Yeah, right! NOBODY takes over OUR HOUSE!!! Get the fish fryers ready guys
  13. Offense was bad way before EJ got here. A more experienced coordinator would get more production out of this group. Orton will be a big help to EJ, and good insurance for now.
  14. This ain't Trent Edwards. This is our QB of the future, and he's going to be developed into a good one.
  15. Guess what? The trade DID happen. He's a 49er now. Good luck Stevie.
  16. This definitely ain't the same old front office of the last 14 years. That was a gutsy move on Whaley's part. It's a 'Win Now' attitude, and I love it. I wouldn't be surprised if Stevie becomes trade bait. They're already making the preparatory moves to move on from him. I don't think Whaley's done wheeling and dealing yet.
  17. Ummmmmmmmmm NO! Manziel just doesn't impress me that much. I don't think he'll live up to the hype.
  18. No need to trade up. Somebody worthy is going to be available at #9, and there's going to be a good 'need' player available in the later rounds too. BPA at #1, fill the needs in rounds 2 & 3. OAN, this might be a stretch, but don't be surprised if the Patriots trade out of round 1 to get a couple more picks later. It's a deep enough draft for them to consider it.
  19. I like him, and I think the coaching staff & front office will give him everything he'll need to be successful. He still has something to prove this season. Just show us sufficient enough progress to take us to 10-6, and that'll shut up most of the haters for now. Year 3 will be the decider for him AND the coaching staff.
  20. The best OL available. That's the priority area right now #protectyourQB
  21. Even if they don't get him, it seems like they're trying to tell Spiller something (Hot seat or trade bait maybe?)....
  22. Sadly, Moorman is not what he used to be. Unless he has a big bounceback season, his time in the league may be up.
  23. I like Thad as a backup. He has a good upside and plenty of room for growth. The games he started gives him some experience, and he really wasn't that bad. I have no problem with him coming in if EJ goes down. Would still like to see an open competition in training came for the starting job though.
