  1. They're sitting back watching right now and gathering all the information they need to start making decisions. Changes will start from the top down as they start working in their own people.
  2. Schwartz deserves an A. Jury still out on CJ more so because of the coaches inability to use him properly. Bryce Brown is another one not being used effectively. Overall, the grades are accurate enough, O-line killed the RB grades.
  3. Interesting. I'd consider giving this guy a shot. Unlike Hackett, he has a record of success and knows how to run an offense.
  4. I'd retain CJ if the price is right. If not, then he's trade bait for a good O-Lineman. With an upgraded line, Bryce Brown can assume CJ'S role with Dixon as the power back, and Freddie still doing what Freddie does for one more year.
  5. I'd be all for Chan if he's willing to come out of retirement to get the most he can get out of very little one more time
  6. Yes, there are some good things to build on here, and major issues on offense to address. Upgrade the O-Line first, definitely address the QB situation, and absolutely bring in a REAL OC to run the offense.
  7. Well we do know Trestman is on his way out in Chicago. He might be an upgrade. Whisenhunt would be nice, but I doubt if he'll be available.
  8. So where is Curtis Modkins now? What's he doing?
  9. Please, anywhere but there. I'd love to see him excel with a good NFC team
  10. Ok, who would you like to see running the offense next season? There should be some pretty good offensive minds available once the firings begin.
  11. Chan did the same thing with Curtis Modkins. He just had the position, Gailey was the one running the offense. Most really good OC's are hired by defensive minded head coaches, and offensive minded coaches tend to bring in the better defensive coordinators (sound familiar?).
  12. THAT'S the point right there!! He got the most out of what he had to work with.
  13. Chan was good at making mediocre look better than what it really was. Even that much would have been good enough to get us in the playoffs and possibly into the second round.
  14. OAN, there's going to be way too much pressure on Marrone to fix that offense for him to allow hackett to stay. My money is on someone else running the offense next year, even if it means the order has to come from higher up the ladder to send Hackett on his merry little way.
  15. He might actually become a very good NFL OC one day. It's just not going to happen right now. Marrone could have brought him along as an assistant and slowly groomed him into the position under a more experienced OC. That might have served him better. Oh lawd, you went there? lmaooooooo
  16. So true. He got much more out of the offense. He might have even got more out of Orton & EJ
  17. I wouldn't mind having Chan back as the OC. He's used to getting the most he can get out of very little to work with at the QB position. Hell, he even got more out of the O-line. Outside of Henderson, weren't these the same guys who were here when he was coaching? What do you think, would you consider him an upgrade over Hackett or no?
  18. He's not going anywhere. He'll be back in 2015. Whaley is going to address the O-Line and QB situation. The only unanswered question is the status of Nate Hackett.
  19. We need big, strong, fast, athletic guards. Look at how much of a difference it made for the Cowboys since they upgraded their O-Line. We have to start there. If the line can get Spiller 1000 yards and Jackson at least 800, it'll make life so much easier for whoever the QB is. The running game has to compensate for our QB situation. Look at how the running game covered up for Mark Sanchez when the Jets went to back to back AFC Championship games. That's what was needed here!
  20. At the right price - absolutely. That position hasn't been the same since he left.
  21. The receivers are better screen blockers than the guards are.
  22. #1 priority has to be upgrading the O-line. Whoever the QB is will still be limited until that gets fixed.
  23. Spare EJ the humiliation. Get him ready for next year. Let the Patriots 3rd stringers feast on Orton, then send him back to the couch where he belongs. We're going 8-8 anyway.
