  1. KC came to play !
  2. No. Once. In round 2 of the playoffs after Buffalo wins the wildcard game on the road in Kansas City. No. Playoffs man.
  3. Buffalo beats New England in New England.
  4. Another thing that would impress me: If the Bills were beating the Jets so handily that Peterman is put in for the second half of the fourth quarter to finish running the clock out. And Shady rested too of course.
  5. I'll be impressed if the Bills dominate the Jets handily. * Move the ball against them at will on the ground and through the air. * Stop the Jet's offense by keeping them out of the red zone * Create turnovers. * Beat the Jets by a minimum of 10 points with the game never being in question after the first quarter Other things that would impress me: * Make the Jet's QB a scared man constantly running for his life and throwing the ball early under duress * Holding the Jets to less than 100 yards rushing combined * Holding the Jets to less than 200 yards passing combined * Forcing lots of 3 and outs - back to back * 5 or more sacks * Multiple coverage sacks because the QB couldn't find an open receiver (really doubt this will happen) * 2 or more interceptions by the Bills' secondary * Seeing Tyrod complete a number of timing passes to any receivers where the receivers catch the ball in stride and run with it. * Seeing Shady be extremely productive in the screen game * Seeing any running back other than Shady rush for over a 5 YPC average on more than 5 runs. I suppose I could go on and on.
  6. Found it: Mrs. Transplant. Just kidding buddy!
  7. Yessir. That would be my assumption too. I am sure the coaches have a better idea than we do of whether the players will be able to execute the designed offense or not. Let's hope they can. If they can't, then I suspect it will be more backyard football with Tyrod running around behind the line of scrimmage asking himself - WTF? Where's Sammy? And then he will chuck the ball to either Shady or Clay - because those are the only guys still on this team that he has thrown passes to before in a regular season game. My gut still tells me we are going to miss the third leg of the offensive tripod - Watkins. Hopefully someone else steps up bigtime. Hopefully it is Jones.
  8. Yep. If I recall correctly, Marv Levy and Co. used to use preseason to evaluate personnel and not much else. They didn't care how "the team" looked so much as how certain players performed in certain situations. They didn't care too much about winning a preseason game. I think McDermott is of that mindset as well. I commend him for it if that is truly his mindset. Hopefully the Bills come out and shock the hell out of us all by laying a solid beat down on the Jets and moving the ball easily (both ground and air) against a decent Jets defense.
  9. Marty, you wouldn't be surprised? Sounds weird. He better start next year. I don't think you trade up for a guy if you intend to make him sit on the bench for more than one season. I would be surprised if he isn't the starter (barring any injury of course) going into next year.
  10. Gotchya. I misunderstood your post. Sorry dude.
  11. Yep. I think you are correct. The offense we see this Sunday will likely look very different than what we saw in those preseason games. That doesn't mean they will execute well. It just means the plays will look entirely different. I am betting an awful large dose of McCoy running through C and D gaps and a lot of pass plays to Clay and Oleary.
  12. Michalek jest Polakiem. So we're all set.
  13. Just so you have some sense of relevance: In 2016 the Bills took in $244 million as their share of the NFL total $7.8 billion in television and NFL merchandise sales. If the Bills sell out every regular season home game for the entire year, total revenue from ticket sales is approximately $50 million for the year. Bills rank middle of the road for average NFL ticket prices = 18th place at $88 average ticket. They are no longer the cheapest. Number of seats is 71,870 . So ticket revenue is about 1/6th of their revenue approximately. If they sell 80% of tickets for the year, then ticket revenue would be approx $40 million - a difference of about $10 million per year.
  14. It's very likely going to take a few games (or perhaps as much as half the season in Tyrod's case) for Tyrod and the new receivers to develop enough chemistry to start really clicking. I'm hoping that they magically start clicking in game one. Maybe, just maybe, if the Jets fall apart defensively, then this could be a good tune up game for the offense to start rolling.
  15. I think you are incorrect. It is called dead money for a reason. It applies to trading and/or cutting a player. Teams have to eat it all in one year or spread it over 2 seasons if the player is designated as a June 1st cut (I think.)
  16. It's part of life. You make the most of what you are dealt. That is what they are doing here. Every team will face some kind of setback at some point this season. Usually it is due to injuries. Sometimes it is due to more rare things. I would rather deal with not having a week off than deal with a key player getting injured. Doesn't seem like it is that big of a deal. Some disadvantage exists perhaps - not that big of one in my opinion.
  17. Pretty much the same for me. Football is an excuse to get the family together. Bills are the local team I grew up with - therefore tradition suggests they are my team. I embraced that my whole life. No way I am changing unless some complete dill-hole would have bought the team. Pegulas are great so - the tradition continues for at least another generation.
  18. Screwed how? The NFL didn't create the hurricanes.
  19. I just meant the season tickets. Not the team. Nobody quits the Bills.
  20. You should have given them up his first year.
  21. McDermott and Beane are trying to build a team that can beat the Jets........ And only the Jets.
  22. Duly noted. I shall. What do you get there, burgers?
