  1. We are 3/4 of the way through the season already. And he certainly should be lighting it up by now. What is he waiting for?
  2. It's Pierogi. Get it right. Now I'm hungry.
  3. Ultimate scenario for people in the "wanting the Bills to tank" category. Beat New England twice. Lose the rest.
  4. If you are so mad at people discussing Sammy - why are you bothering to chime in on the thread? You are a hypocrite.
  5. Are those 2 New England losses to the Bills?
  6. It's far more accurate than using wins and losses (a total team stat) to say how good any one or two players are.
  7. You passed Chinglish 101 What kind of beer do you drink? Rabatts brew?
  8. I'm saying association does not prove causation.
  9. Your logic is flawed. Nothing has anything to do with the other.
  10. Found the link for ya. Which one of these guys is your uncle?
  11. He started out just saying STFU Then he upgraded the post by adding the FU part.
  12. Some probably wish that would happen so they could claim civil rights violation and try to get this heard by the Supreme Court.
  13. Na. There's probably at least one person in the stands who got a boner over each of these performances: http://youtu.be/XffxvV1PAEI
  14. When people get PO'ed over the bad national anthems it is because you have have certain expectations about the anthem that you anticipate. You anticipate it is going to be a moving song that stirs the same emotions in you it always stirs. When the person approaches the microphone and starts - "Oh say can you see...." in most American's guts little tiny butterflies start flapping their wings. Those butterflies flap harder and harder as the song progresses and ultimately release as the song finishes - kind of like a great emotional orgasm. When the performer twists the song from tradition too much - it kills the boner. Know what I mean? What guy doesn't get pissed when he is expecting to get laid and in stead ends up seeing a naked picture of Janet Reno?
  15. And that makes it perfect for Bills games.
  16. Disagree in regards to ending the anthem playing. One reason to play the national anthem and a reason to honor our national flag before a very large sporting event - is to promote emotional solidarity and unity. Same reason for fly-by's . If there was enough emotional solidarity (unity - a.k.a. we are all in this together) in this country, there would be less issues - like the very one the player is trying to make a statement about by raising his fist. A country without enough national unity is a weak nation destined to be conquered or otherwise destroyed by other nations run by evil tyrants. In the grand scheme of things promoting emotional pride in your nation is a good thing assuming your country isn't being ran by an evil tyrant. And it is a constant reminder of the past that you are doomed to repeat if you forget about it.
  17. If my kids didn't take their hats off or acted in any manner I felt was disrespectful - they would get a slap in the head and be made to do it - the boys anyway - at least until they are 40 years old or older - at that point I give up. Congrats to you for being a lover of positive tradition.
  18. Agree. Still mad at him/them for that. Hopefully time proves it to be the right move. Otherwise - I'm going to New Orleans to get voodoo dolls of Beane and McDermott so I can stick pins in them.
  19. Does anyone other than me tell other fans to take their hats off when the national anthem begins? I guess I have to stop that now? Not fair to others?
  20. Yep. If you want to stop neighborhood decline and turn that neighborhood into a good one - start by picking up the trash, getting the graffiti off the buildings and fixing the broken windows. If the population knows you won't accept the small stuff - they understand you definitely won't accept the bigger stuff.
  21. He's a really tough, hands guy with a large catch radius. Gotta hope he makes the team. Seems like a McDermott style of guy.
  22. You are absolutely right. And the amigdala is more powerful than the neocortex. Which is why players choose to do their protests during the anthem. It is an effective and manipulative move done intentionally because they know nobody would notice if they did it some other time - like the end of the game perhaps.
  23. Probably don't want a blanket party either eh?
  24. I bet if he stood in front of a busy McDonalds with a boombox cranking the national anthem on repeat and raised his fist - he would get some national media attention. He also might get some food chucked at him. Saturday night live and the late shows would do skits about him. If he did it in Oakland - he might get stabbed. Boyst kickin things up a notch.
