  1. But he also had that 5-11 year with Bledsoe at Qb. That makes Bill an 8-8 coach without Tom Brady at QB. Not exactly hall of fame caliber. All that Cassel year did was get him to .500.....lol So you could say that he is only capable of reaching a Superbowl if he has a Hall of Fame caliber QB. Let's see what happens when Brady retires. I have a strange suspicion that people are going to start talking about how Bellichick just isn't as good as he used to be. Bet on it. Cuz you know it is going to happen.
  2. WTF? Another EJ thread? The dude is a backup qb in the NFL.
  3. If one team is practicing un-sportsmen-like conduct, why is it so crazy to think the other team is going to start being un-sportsmen-like. I'm totally fine with what the guy did. Should've hit him harder. Better yet, the whole line should have done it. Cut block them all and knock em down like dominos.
  4. Yeah.....he also went 5-11 in 2000 with Drew Bledsoe at quarterback. Not exactly a stellar record. And when if ever does he begin starting Tom Brady at quarterback if it wasn't for that killer hit Mo Lewis laid on Bledsoe?
  5. I believe it was Marv Levy who said, even as a hall of famer, that the quarterback makes the coach. He could have just taken full credit for his dominant AFC teams. Instead he spoke the truth.
  6. I will believe Bellichick is one of the greatest if he wins another Superbowl after Brady retires. Until then I maintain that he is just an above average coach with one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Bellichick gets way too much credit..
  7. I think you are getting negative feedback because you are calling Marrone's character into question which I think is wrong to do. A lot of fans are equally as unsatisfied with his coaching as you are. But instead of just talking about his coaching, you instead decided to make it a personal character attack like the guy is some little sissy whiner. He's not. He isn't a terrific coach, but he's not the little whining sissy that you are trying to make him look like when you accuse him of using the snow storm as tool to help him keep his job.
  8. Agreed!
  9. So what you are basically saying is that you hate Marrone for telling the truth......got it.... You are mad because he is telling the truth and you don't want him to get any slack because a snowstorm screwed us out of a home game. I think you should turn your hatred towards Hackett, at least it is more justifiable. Or better yet, just go home and kick your dog.
  10. Dude...... Are you about to melt down like NDBUFCUSEFAN? Seems like you're on the edge?
  11. What did you do, take six pictures of it and glue them together end to end?
  12. Nice Pavarotti... Try this one... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTFUM4Uh_6Y Also a big fan of Andy Williams and Frank Sinatra
  13. I think the Chiefs were over-rated coming into this game anyway. They were winning games which you have to give them credit for, but you could tell that they weren't exactly a powerhouse team. Seemed like the wheels were getting ready to come off. The Chiefs will likely make the playoffs and also likely lose badly in the first round. They simply aren't playing that well.
  14. lol,,,, Mission accomplished!
  15. I've been to football games at Ford Field before. Detroit fans were always very subdued. It felt more like a Sabres game. Not too much drinking. Lots of people sitting down relatively quiet the whole game. Nothing at all like a Bills game at the Orchard Park Rockpile. Lots of fans sat around discussing everyday life events while the game was on. Seemed like they could care less whether their team won or lost. So, outside of the few thousand people who will travel there for this game, I expect you will be able to hear a pin drop at times.
  16. I think some Detroit fans will be there to cheer for the Jets simply because Schwartz is on the Bills' staff. Not expecting a huge turnout though. Probably a few thousand Bills fans. It will be a quiet game for both offenses. If you make it to the game, you should be able to yell specific things at the players on the field and actually have them hear you.
  17. Yes it was a divisional game. Just like when we play the Jets or Miami....any team can win. Nothing fishy there.
  18. I don't think this storm will impact whether Buffalo gets a dome stadium or not. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Cuomo has a press conference and says that we should use this storm as a reason to pass stronger gun legislation. People don't need guns to hunt deer with when there is too much snow to go deer hunting anyway.... It is simply too risky for the citizens of New York to have people own guns in snowy situations like this.....
  19. echo...echo...echo.... Bills vs. Jets in Detroit = sucks
  20. If people are going to be pissed at anyone for not doing their job, then get pissed at the weathermen around here. I don't recall hearing any of the news casters predicting that parts of WNY were going to get 5-6 feet of snow. I heard that max that any area would get was going to be up to 24" and that was for the traditional snowbelt area. They done frigged up on this prediction. Plus the news is so sensationalized around here and the meteorologists cry wolf so many times every year that it is no wonder the town highway departments didn't take them seriously.
  21. I agree that head coaches often make terrible decision makers in certain situations. I think it is a completely independent skill that many of them just lack. One great example was Dick Jauron. The guy would have the team very well prepared for the game. Then during the game he would take wins away from his team simply because he would deny them the opportunity to make a play when it mattered. He just loved to punt the football. Having an assistant call the plays is an excellent idea. Unfortunately I think it runs counter to the natural big ego alpha male type of persona that all head coaches possess.
  22. Why god....why?.....Why did you get me stuck in Buffalo?
  23. Let me ask you this.... If everyone is fired, what is the likelihood that the new staff will get all of the pieces of the puzzle right? If you already have a couple pieces of the puzzle in place, wouldn't it be wiser to try to keep those pieces in place while trying to replace the ones that need to be replaced? The most likely scenario to happen if everyone is fired again, is that the new staff will have one or two different pieces in place than we have now, but the good people who are in place right now like Whaley for instance, will be replaced with inferior men.
