It is so much fun to do. The problem is that the recordings were all analog and crappy so you end up watching a really blurry game on modern television screens with super high resolution. It reminds you of how much technology has advanced in that short amount of time.

Yep. And I am the "world champion" of mowing my lawn. Good logic.

You dirty rotten bastard! So it has been you all along. That's okay. I look forward to the day when the GOAT retires and we can get back to beating up on them consistently. Their time is gonna come. And they know it. Tick tock tick tock. -
Schit. So when we play the Raiders in the AFC Championship game next year in Buffalo, does that mean he is going to throw the game so his beloved Raiders team can get their revenge? I knew it. Dennison is a spy. Bills can't have good things. Dammit.

True. That is also why it is asinine and pompous for the NFL to refer to Superbowl winners as "World Champions". Always irks me. Superbowl champs are NFL champions and nothing more. Simply referring to them as "NFL Champions" or "Superbowl Champions" isn't good enough?

You can get that at Rite Aid - Like $20 a 30 pack. Choice of OV, Labatt or Molson Canadian. If you have Canadian buddies over the border, take some to them. They can't buy it that cheap in Canada. -
A favourite offseason thread...... Quarterback rankings

Let the trolls be trolls. Haters gonna hate. The talent difference is obvious. Tyrod is much better. -
A favourite offseason thread...... Quarterback rankings
PolishDave replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rogers and Brady should switch spots without question. I don't know how anyone would question that. Ben Roethlisberger should be bumped down to franchise and ranked around number 7 probably. I consider Ryan and Rivers both as elite Qb's. So they should be bumped up and definitely ahead of Ben. Tannehill above Tyrod - um.... no The order you have number 25 through 32 in is also questionable but highly debatable in many different directions. Other than that, not too bad - I would say in ballpark. -
I am of the mindset that - He who identifies talent the best and has the best coaches wins most. Doesn't matter if they draft high or low in each round. It is proven again and again year after year. Gm's need to identify the best talent available to them every year, especially later round drafts and free agency and piece that talent together given their limited resources. If they make the right evaluations on that talent consistently for long enough without overspending, then they will build a playoff/Superbowl caliber roster. It is inevitable. If you are the best at doing that, you will be a perennial playoff team and often a contender to win a Superbowl. In football as in the rest of life, you don't need to become a bigger failure first in order to succeed. Whoever gave you that mindset did you a disservice.

You should go apply for a job with the Cleveland organization. Seems like you might be a good fit there. Isn't their goal to see how bad they can be every year back to back? Some guys play to win, some play for beer, some play for draft picks. Cleveland plays for draft picks.

How much money have you spent on Bills in the last decade?
PolishDave replied to Spurna's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm up there too. I and the wife have spent over $50,000 but less than $100k between home and away games over ten years. If you include my whole family then it would be over $500k in the last 10 years between home games, tailgating and away games. -
Hackett Hired as new Jaguars OC
PolishDave replied to Forward Progress's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Marrone and Hackett released a team statement saying their stated goal next year is to win more games than Cleveland. One step at a time baby. -
And if he is wrong, well, he can just change his name and avatar on here and get his all his rep back to where it is right now, which is?
-
You know they aren't going to. They never do. They make season ticket holders pony up before the big moves are made. That way you are already on the hook for next year even if you completely disagree with their moves. Otherwise, lose your seniority and awesome seats. Sucks. If I was 100% convinced they intended to do a full rebuild with Qb and everything, I would seriously consider ditching my seats for a few years at least. Rebuilds are for losers and I don't see how they can expect people to shell out thousands of dollars each year for several years to watch a pretty much guaranteed losing team.

When asked if he wants sugar in his coffee, Whaley just sat there perplexed, unwilling to make a decision one way or the other. Gutless. Waitress said "Sir, a simple yes or no answer will do." Russ Brandon spoke up - "Don't offer that man coffee!"
-
Not to turn this into a Tyrod thread but.... The other thing to keep in mind in regards to a rebuild is that Whaley is smart enough to realize that if they move on from Tyrod and other vets on this team (a.k.a rebuild), and then Tyrod ends up playing exceptionally well for that other team while whoever our quarterback ends up being does not play well - Then Whaley's goose is going to be cooked as a GM. He will get the ax and find a tough time landing another GM job. This is part of the reason why I think there will be less rebuilding than people expect. The main rebuild will be on defense because they need it.

Ha! That's what I was thinking. Someone who knows him read it here. They texted him. He said "Awesome opportunity for me to start a totally unsubstantiated rumor."
-
They didn't say that. They didn't even insinuate that. And they aren't going to do that unless they are really, really stupid. The current team, even with it's schitty defense is too good to be blown up. You blow up a team that is struggling to get 4 wins a couple years in a row. You don't blow up a 500 team who threw its last game for a better draft pick.
-
Yes it is an example of how to take a crappy football team and make it even worse. Cleveland is a true joke of a team - far worse off than the Bills. Yessir! That is really happening.
